I took my mom to KIRA for Mother's Day, and from the moment we walked in, I was blown away. I've seen this space before it became KIRA, and the transformation is incredible. Whoever designed this restaurant deserves an award. The lighting, the architecture, the textures, and the overall ambiance are absolutely stunning. It's dark and moody in the best way possible and truly takes your breath away when you walk in. To start, I ordered the Tuna Tartare with salsa macha, sushi rice, avocado, cucumber, and mayo. It reminded me a little of a poke bowl, but elevated. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even my mom, who normally doesn't eat raw fish, enjoyed it. Easy 9/10. The real star of the meal was the Roasted Garlic Labneh Hummus. Y'all... this was hands down the best hummus I have ever had in my life. Creamy, flavorful, perfectly balanced...just incredible. I would come back for that alone. 20/10. For my entrée, I ordered the Mixed Grill with Wagyu Kafta. Everything was seasoned well and packed with flavor. The only thing that fell a little short for me was the pita bread served with the hummus. Compared to how amazing the hummus was, the pita just didn't stand out. My mom ordered the tempura vegetables and a Caesar salad, both of which she enjoyed. The only miss of the afternoon was the tea, which arrived lukewarm and lacked flavor. Our server, Raynell, was wonderful. Attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead of anything we needed. Between the beautiful atmosphere, great service, and memorable food, KIRA easily earns a 9/10 from me. If you're looking for a restaurant that's as beautiful as it is delicious, put this one on your list.

Parking options included off-street parking or a nearby garage. Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff and seated within our reservation time. The ambiance was chic and perfect for photos. We had great drinks and appetizers. The food was pricey, but good. I would recommend and would visit again.

Stopped by Kira around 8pm for a quick bite and a glass of wine before heading out to explore New Orleans for the evening, and the first thing I noticed was how gorgeous the space is. The interior is super intentional and beautifully designed so definitely a vibe. I wanted to snap a few photos, but the menu kindly requests no flash photography, and the space is pretty dark, so no high quality pics from me. Our server was amazing, I hate I forgot his name. He was very personable and great at reading the table. He gave thoughtful recommendations based on what we said we were in the mood to do in Nola that evening, which I always appreciate. This was my first time trying bone marrow, and honestly it just wasn't for me. But that's more about my personal taste than anything the restaurant did. On the other hand, the Japanese sweet potato was really good. It was perfectly cooked with a nice soy glaze, and the pickled vegetables alongside it added a great balance. That said, I'm not sure it justified the $18 price point. Overall, Kira leans a bit pricey for what you get. I don't know that I'd come back for a full dinner, but I'd absolutely return for a drink at the bar and to enjoy the ambiance. Definitely worth checking out at least once for the experience.

Kira is a mix of Asian and Mediterranean fare. A very intimate setting yet it can be considered almost too dark for convo. Food was good but bordering okay but definitely not getting the bang for your buck. Service was solid but I've had better overall experiences

Came in for drinks and sat at the bar, the hostess was super helpful in finding us seats. The bartenders were friendly and accommodating, and the two cocktails we tried were both really well crafted. We ordered the broccolini and the bone marrow. Both were very good, but the bone marrow was amazing and definitely the standout. I'd come back just for that! The vibe inside is really nice and more on the upscale side, perfect for a date night or nice dinner. I'll definitely be back.

Ordered the Wagyu steak and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked and came with a tomato dip and cheese dip on the side, which was an amazing combination. Love the idea of fusing Japanese and mediterranean and would b definitely be interested in trying other menu items. Staff are wonderful and the inside is giving dim lounge vibes.

First and foremost let's give it up for the ambiance, decor and the mood of this restaurant. It's an experience to say the least! Dark lit and sexy. The service was top notch and the food was good. I ordered the bang bang shrimp, poached lobster, and the Caesar salad with lump crab meat and bacon. The bang bang shrimp were the star of the show. The poached lobster was mid but the curry pairing sauce was gre

It's a bit hidden away! Once you walk in, it's a very cool decor with "hip" music. The food is fantastic! The menu doesn't really do the dishes justice, they're so much more flavorful and filling than I was expecting. And the service was great! Friendly and great timing throughout the meal. A delish birthday dinner! We'd love to come back!

Vibe dining at it's finest. They took a familiar location and added a vibacious twist and here we are. We arrived at opening because we couldn't get a reservation and sat in the bar section. Service didn't lack one but. Drinks were great and the food was a hit. Honorable mention on the lobster: it was PERFECTION. Tender, juicy, well seasoned and good to the last bite.

My wife and I went on a Friday for our most recent date night and was impressed. From the moment you open the door its a vibe, from the dim lighting to the music and the beaded ceiling decor. It has a romantic and intimate feel that went perfectly for date night. We started with cocktails and I enjoyed the fig old fashioned. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We will return soon.

I came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday, and it was truly a beautiful experience. The food was good, so hits and misses. We ordered from different sections, but the stars of the night were definitely the bang bang shrimp and the steak skewers (named something else on the menu). Omg, so good! The cocktails were decent, though not extraordinary. I would skip the Japanese sweet potato There's a no-flash policy, so no food pictures. Overall, a lovely experience with excellent service; our food arrived quickly, making it even better.

Dark ambiance. No service bartender so both bartenders are busy making drinks for the restaurant and not paying too much attention to patrons seated at the bar. 830: ordered Wagyu dry aged and lump crab Cesar. Strawberry in bloom and coke. 8:42 delivery of meal. Salad is heavy on bacon bits. Steak good but not the best quality. Cooked perfectly though. Did wish that the topping spread more evenly to cover entirety. Bartender walked past multiple times for beers and bevs for other people. Had to flag down someone else from behind the door behind the bar to give us another plate for sharing. 48: asked how things were. 9:04 finished. Would I come back? Eh. Maybe.

After reading some of the reviews about the service at Kira was I apprehensive about my visit. Thankfully we end up have outstanding service. Out server was incredibly attentive, and her recommendations were spot‑on. Started with a dirty martini and it wasn't to my liking so I went for their version of a pina colada that ube in it. I enjoyed it. We ordered a lot of food, and everything came out quickly and beautifully plated. We tried the Tuna Tartare, Tuna Crispy Rice, Bang Bang Shrimp, Bone Marrow, Tempura Vegetables, and the Crab Caesar Salad. I enjoyed every dish, but the shrimp and tuna options were definitely my favorites.

Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel special. And the FOOD! We definitely came hungry and tried a little bit of everything. The Brussels sprouts were another favorite: perfectly crispy and a great side to the steak. Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert, so we tried both the Bonaparte and Kadaif Nest. Both were beautifully presented and a perfect ending to an already amazing dinner. Between the food, service, gorgeous interior, and overall ambiance, Doris Metropolitan delivered the complete dining experience. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for a special dinner in New Orleans, it's worth it. Great food + great service + great atmosphere = an easy 5 stars. Would absolutely return!

Overall, the experience was average and did not fully meet those expectations. The charcuterie and cheese board, priced at $68, was underwhelming in both portion size and value. It included only six thin slices of cured meat and a small selection of cheeses. Unfortunately, one of the cheeses had an unpleasant flavor that made it inedible for our table. The bread service was a highlight, offering a nice variety of breads and accompaniments. The ribeye was cooked well and enjoyable, but it did not stand out from what I've experienced at other upscale steakhouses. The five-cheese couscous was the biggest disappointment, as it lacked the rich, flavorful profile its description suggested. While the service and presentation were appreciated, the overall dining experience did not justify the high expectations or the price point.

This place advertises burlesque shows and "Shibari", however I did not see any of that during my visit. I do not dock points though because I'm certain there's a schedule that shows when these events occur. If you're interested in seeing one, best to make sure when they're taking place. There are security cameras all over the bar so this location can remain sex-positive and safe for guests. After ordering myself a drink, I chose to relax in their bright pink room with the large bean bag and teddy bear. This was my favorite spot for its light-hearted and playful atmosphere, although the room next to it was pretty exciting as well--with its black-and-white paintings of kinky exhibitionists. During my visit, I noticed that there was a collection of leftover glasses from previous guests. Since it was a slow Sunday night, I thought there would've been ample time for an employee to clean up that area beforehand. There was one barista that night, and while she was kind and made excellent cocktails, her voice was really low--making it difficult to hear her over the music. I'm glad the bar was empty, or else I may have not been able to hear her properly.
