Okay... so this is a low key awesome place to go. In the way of "chain restaurants" a lot leave something to be desired.... However we have really enjoyed Aubrey's! They have GF buns (for those in need).. Also their house salad is FANTASTIC... which I feel is an odd WOW factor. I'm a frequent "and I'll have a side salad" girl -- so I feel like I'm a credible source. As I am GF I have not had the pastas myself, but my family orders them religiously when we come. Shout out to the waitress Hailey for Above and beyond service every single time . Request a table in her section when you're there... you won't have to flag her down for a thing, she's got you! Also the chalk art is really lovely and impressive... I realize that has nothing to do with the food, but come on, we live in the age of aesthetic. read more

Looking for a small and quick bite to eat, I headed to Aubrey's. I really liked the environment. The very high ceilings, and large floor space were a welcome change compared to most places. I didn't go to the bar, but it did look like a great place to have a few beers. For my quick bite, I ordered a crab cake, and a cup of the potato soup. The soup was creamy with nice chunk of potatoes. The crab cake was great. Could have done with a bit less arugula, and a bit more remoulade. Both the hostess and waiter were super polite. Service was great, and I was attended to often. It wasn't super busy, but I'd imagine Aubrey's to be a big hit around dinner time. read more

My wife and I went here on Christmas Eve as this was one of the only places open. The older crabby hostess loudly yelled at the younger hostess..."you didn't give menus to that table you just sat!" We guessed this person was managing the restaurant this evening as she seemed to be cracking whips throughout. Not an ideal way to start things off. Our waiter was a nice enough guy...just not very bright or self aware. I asked for the soup - it was whatever honestly. My wife asked for the fish tacos and fries. The fries were cold as if they had been sitting out for an hour. We informed our waiter of the issue and he said, "uh-oh!" - we asked for hot fries and they came out 8 minutes after the last bite of food. Our waiter also didn't refill drinks...we had to ask several times..when he asked if we had enjoyed our meal we said we weren't pleased - again, he said, "uh-oh!" This phrasing to us seemed disingenuous and/or sarcastic - however, it most likely simply immaturity - although he was probably in his early 30s. He swung around after delivering the fries and offered a free dessert. Why not? It's Christmas. Again, the cake and ice cream was whatever. Also, went to the restrooms once..floor around the urinal was wet and filthy - uncommonly so...Listen, here's my thing...this place is charging premium prices for food. They offer $20-$30 entrees. What are you getting in return? Subpar service, meh food, dirty restrooms? I do not consider myself a particularly disagreeable or finicky person - but, this place is not good, at all. Maybe it was Christmas Eve and they weren't on their A-game. But, why even open your doors if you're not going to be who you always are? This was probably who they are. Save yourself some money and venture elsewhere. We definitely will do the same from now on. read more

I love Aubrey's normally but this location has really gone down here. Ate here early today and the waitress and waiters weren't friendly at all. Very little eye contact and they look like they are just made at the world. Bristol location is a lot better IMO. not sure I'll come back to this location. read more

Last week we had dinner as a family of 7. One of our orders had an issue-twice! Felicia, the manager, came to apologize and made sure we were taken care of. Wife and enjoyed a late afternoon meal, surroundings were pleasant and the place is really clean. Our waiter was especially helpful and didn't miss a beat. I love this place !! I have never had a bad experience here . The food is different but it is delicious . By far the best place ive eaten at in a while . You get great fresh bread . Maggie (our server) could not have been more disinterested in taking care of us. She was obviously too preoccupied holding multiple conversations with her coworkers in the kitchen to realize that she had messed up two of the entrees plates in a party of six. I am well aware that there is a serious labor deficit at the moment and we all need to be a little more patient than we once were. However, the frustration didn't end with our server. Having had a over cooked steak here before, I opted to go with the burger instead of paying $30 for another burnt meal. I was correct to be concerned. It turns out the kitchen isn't able to turn out a medium burger, let along a steak. It's really a shame because this restaurant has a cool vibe and had a competent kitchen not so long ago. read more

Ok so I was starting to lose hope that there was good food in the area and then we came to Aubrey's! We had a crab cake appetizer that was fresh and tasted great. I had the tuna sandwich, it looked like sushi grade tuna to me. It was about 1 1/2 inches thick, cooked to order. I order seared/rare - it was perfect. Great char flavor with seasoning and the tuna taste popped! You could taste the tuna in every bite even with lemon caper sauce, lettuce tomato and all that. The wife had the the lemon/lime chicken and she said it was very good. Pops had the Cheddar Burger, he said it was very fresh and tasted great. We all agreed that this is our new go to. So, I've been here twice in the past month. First time, they served me raw fish...literally could not even cut it with a knife; cold and pink in the middle and they weren't busy. It was me and one other table in the entire restaurant. Today was busier...I had to ask repeatedly for a single drink, got my food but never got my salad. I've had the ribs, a variety of their steaks including the Hawaiian steak and steak on a stick with all being amazing. Was in town for work and this place is right next to the hotel. Was pleasantly surprised, the inside is nice and the food was good too. I went simple burger/sweet potato fries. I got my burger with the Cajun seasoning they do on the chicken. That made it I think and the sweet potato fires.... wow these were super tasty! They were not over done and so they were perfect inside and had plenty of seasoning on them. They do have a cool selection of "craft cocktails". And also do trivia in the bar after 7pm if you are interested in that type of thing. I would come back again and not just because it's close to the hotel. That is a perk though :) read more

So we arrived a bit early to meet our best friends for dinner and decided to get a sip in the bar. We sit down and up walks the bartender, Kaelyn, with my husbands favorite wine. She tells us it's been a long time but she remembers him liking it and telling us about Saturday night 1/2 price bottles of wine. I have NEVER had this experience in my life. She's on the ball! Aubrey's is a great option in the Tri-Cities region if you're looking for something more upscale yet also affordable compared to what is offered at other chain restaurants in the region. During my recent visit, I particularly enjoyed the mahi mahi tacos which featured flavorful chunks of mahi mahi and a delicious sauce drizzled over the top. Their parmesan spinach side dish is rich, creamy, and delicious though would be even better with availability of some crackers or toasted pita chips to scoop it rather than eating with a fork. My fiancé ordered the hickory barbecue chicken dinner which was generously slathered with sauce and cheese. However, the hickory flavor from the sauce was quite strong and overpowered the entire dish, so it may be better served on the side for dipping so you can control the amount on each bite. The soup of the day (broccoli cheddar) was by far the best version that I've tasted from a restaurant. It was rich and thick, with generous bites of perfectly cooked broccoli. The atmosphere features dim lighting with a variety of unique decorations. Our service has always been great at the restaurant, no matter the day of week or time of day. Highly recommend! read more

Consistently good food and great atmosphere. Had filet mignon dish with asparagus. They did a really nice job. Daughter loved the Caeser salad . Husband loved the the fish and chips. Son had steak and enjoyed it. Drinks were fantastic and the waitress was beautiful and attentive. My only complaint was when I had prime rib I did not love the seasoning but that's personal taste I guess. I prefer less seasoning w/ prime rib. We will be back. read more

Sat at bar... Asked if she could make a liquid marijuana drink. She said if she has all the ingredients. She made the drinks. They were horrible... She never checked on us. After while she asked if we needed more time or order. We were like we want to order now please. She brought the food. After finishing the food which was very flavorful, and yummy. We had to ask her to come assist with a new drink. She brought us our drinks. We had to ask for check. Again she was busy hanging out at the end of the bar with patrons but forgot the rest of us. Eventually had to push the chair to get her to come get money for us to leave. Was not impressed with the service that we got. Good was delicious the service bad. My husband decided to try Aubrey's on a whim since it was close by and WOWWWW are we glad we did. I'm not sure if I had ever a 10/10 experience before eating at Aubrey's, but now I can say I have. We were seated immediately, the ambiance was unbelievable, the menu had a great selection, our food came out super fast, service couldn't have been any better and the food...THE FOOD!!! Visiting family in TN ate at the store in Johnson City TN. Overall a solid experience. Service from Lizzie was awesome. She was extremely attentive from start to finish. The beer IPA was super crafty and ice cold. Soup of the day great. Salad fresh. Entrees very nice and plentiful. Very clean restaurant and spacious. Let me start by saying I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. Service was good and the beer selection was really good as well. The food was mostly good but it was a bit bland and we had to send two dishes back because they were cold. I have a hard time with fried food not coming out hot. I ordered wings and they were okay. The skin on the wings wasn't crispy at all but the hot sauce was flavorful. The pasta dishes we had were really good however.
