My wife and I have purchased 6 new cars in the last 6 years (we switch out one of our vehicles each year) and this was disappointing. After a great test drive experience we were ready to pull the trigger on a new vehicle. We even looked at inventory and narrowed it down to a couple key features and a range of other options we'd consider. After that we didn't hear anything for days. Eventually the manager reached out with a generic, "Thank you for visiting" email and when I replied that we hadn't heard back and were going to open our search to include other dealers, crickets again. No reply for another 3 days. Then we got a voicemail from the person who took us on our test drive with no apology or recognition of the time elapsed. We ended up broadening our search. If you are in the Denver area looking for an Audi, I'd strongly recommend dealing with Brendan over a Prestige Imports. He was very attentive, responsive and insightful. read more

A bad smell like burning plastic or engine oil has been coming from my Q5 recently and I dropped the car at 8:30 AM this morning for diagnostics. Usually, text messages are coming to update customers, but I did not receive any text messages or emails from them somehow and their phone system was dropping my calls continuously. So, I left my office around 4 PM to find out what was going on. When I was in the service department, I was told that the requested service was not performed and the diagnostics related service will take 24 hours at least. Their attitude and response to customers were very disappointing. I wondered why the information was not informed to me at the time of the car dropping. How much will it cost to send text messages or make a phone call to tell the current situation to customers? Their excuse was the lack of technician resources. The funny thing was the response from their manager. The response was we don't have technicians who work for maintenance only and technicians who work for diagnostics only. Customers are required to know how technicians are working together or the way of technicians' working to get their service? The worst part was they did not touch the car because the car was not washed. Even the car wash option was selected at the time of the car dropping though. I have 2 Audi cars and have been a loyal customer since 2015, but I would not consider buying or leasing an Audi car anymore in the future. I would not recommend the service department in Denver. read more

I drive a 2004 Audi allroad, that I've had since it was new. It now has about 121,000 miles on it. I had some issues in October--burning smell, gears slipping (it's a manual transmission), not good. Because the only shop I could find open on a Saturday was Audi Denver, I had it towed there. I have never had the car serviced there, but I did talk to one of the sales guys a few months ago about maybe getting a new car..... The service advisor, Josh Treen, seemed genuinely concerned about the situation and was attentive. He promised to put Audi Denver's BEST mechanic on the job--who he described as having 19 years of experience and was good with older cars. The mechanic took it for a test drive, reported "metal on metal" sounds, and then put it on the lift to inspect it. The video inspection identified a huge leak in the transmission fluid--none left when he pulled the plug--and several other items. The recommendation was to replace the transmission and the clutch and do various other repairs. The estimate came to $16,000 (!!!). Of course, I was never going to pay this much to repair any car, and certainly not this 17-year-old car. I asked Josh if there wasn't some way to check a bit more before concluding that the transmission needed to be replaced. Josh asked the mechanic, and he said there was no other option. I begged them to refill the transmission fluid and check again to see how the car runs and where the leak is. They would not do it. So, I had the car towed over to Key Transmission and Gears, https://www.keytransmissionandgears.com. Jeff, the owner, inspected the car, refilled the transmission fluid, found the leak (which was caused by a loose screw on the flange for the drive shaft), and fixed the leak. Total cost: $475.00. The car runs as good as ever. Doesn't seem to need a new clutch either. I cannot believe that the "best" mechanic Audi Denver has refused to even try refilling the transmission fluid and checking for leaks. These guys are not in the business of repairing cars. They are in the business of selling cars. It's extortion: insisting that the only solution was an $11,000 job to replace the transmission and the clutch, when all that was actually required was a screwdriver and some tranny fluid. This is criminal. If your car is out of warranty, don't go near this place. Actually, even if it is still under warranty, I wouldn't be surprised if they tell you something major has to be done that isn't covered by the warranty. The most dishonest, incompetent service department I have ever heard of. The prices of the cars they have for sale are also too high. Go to Key Transmission and Gears if you want a mechanic who is fair, honest, and competent. Don't go to Audi Denver. read more

What a difference a dealership makes! The newly opened and remodeled Audi Denver (which used to be Mcdonald Audi) is quite a sight to behold. This is a brand-new facility has a service floor that you could eat off and a show room that is sleek, expansive and just modern gorgeous! Quite an upgrade! For service I went to Nathan. On the phone we went through all of my concerns and items that I wanted to have addressed with my vehicle. When I arrived they were ready for me, had my name on a list, and showed me to my service agents desk where I was seated. Nate was very thorough, addressing all of the items I had listed, and also suggested items that might be good for my vehicle due to its age. He also gave me a very detailed estimate of the cost. My loaner was a sleek gray Audi A4 with 400 miles on it. It was really zippy and it was hard to control my speed driving down Broadway but I did, that is a sweet little car!Hmmmm, maybe it's time to think about switching from an SUV back to a sedan... Nate called me no less than four times over the two days they had my car, explaining everything. He was very apologetic when one item did not go quite as planned but we came up with alternatives. I picked up my car around 2 o'clock the second day - it was in flawless beautiful condition and I've never seen it look better except when it was new. An item deemed mandatory by Prestige was found not to be necessary saving me around $1000. Thank you McDonald Audi! I could not be more pleased with this experience and would not hesitate to go back to their gorgeous show room to shop and will from now on bring my Audis down here for service every time. But it seems there's been a big overhaul in the service department. I recently checked in for service and the process was pretty seamless. My service advisor Jason was awesome. Very patient and friendly. They ended up needing to keep my car longer and he reserved me a Q5 (first time ever... I used to get dinky little A3's). I really appreciated that because I have kids and we were supposed to go to the mountains that weekend. Jason kept me updated regarding my vehicle and gave me a detailed quote. The inspection video was great to show us what the issues were. I paid for a detail and it's immaculate! I forgot to fill my gas and it was almost closing, yet an advisor still told me to go get gas since it's $5/gallon there. I interacted with 5 different people over 3 days and I'm really impressed. I had an excellent experience buying a used car from this Audi dealership. I found the car on the carfax app, but all of my interactions with the employees at this dealership were excellent. The car wasn't even an Audi, but they took care of me as if it was. I felt I got a fair price, and I did not feel any pressure at all. I primarily worked with Patrick who was very courteous and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. He stayed late on the evening that I purchased the car so that we could finalize the deal, and the next day when I realized there weren't any floor mats that came with the car (which was strange), Patrick coordinated with a friend of his at the Infinity dealership to obtain new mats for me. Set up a service appointment for my car three months in advance and when we showed up the service advisor Steve Berczik told us they were full for the day and to try to come back another day. Car was due due for 20k service. What are we supposed to do, wait another three months? Or the other suggestion was just to leave it at the dealer and it would be looked at within 2-3 weeks. Brought my Audi Allroad in because it had started overheating occasionally. Over all I would say the inspection was very well done, they were able to bring the problem to my attention and they even sent me a video of the mechanic explaining all the problems. That all being said it was incredibly expensive. $370 just to look at the car. $6,000($2,000 quoted from my local euro shop)to replace the torque converter and a whopping $5,000 dollars in suggested repair which Included $140 to replace the rear window wiper that I had literally replaced not even a week before taking my car in. If I had gone with all the suggested repairs it would have been almost $11,000 which absolutely blew my mind. With all that said, it was one of the nicest dealerships I've been to and the mechanics definitely know their stuff just not friendly on the pocket. read more

I was given a 2004 Audi A4 after my 2016 Ford Escape was totaled from the hail storm in Lakewood last May 2017. When given this car, I was strictly instructed to use it as a trade in. Unfortunately, my insurance company has been dragging their feet in the totaling process causing me to have to keep making payments on a car I haven't been driving for 3 months... ANYWAY, while driving this car, I not only fell in love with the car, but the idea of eventually not having a car payment since I've been paying on a car loan since I was 16. The car was maintained as needed but with a 15 year old car - there are a lot of further issues that rear their ugly head down the line. Once I registered this guy in my name, issue after issue started arising. Check engine light, passenger HID XENON headlamp went out, burning smell, plus terrible gas mileage. I was becoming a bit deterred. After shopping around for different shops, I decided to take the car into its proper mechanics. My service advisor, Dave F was familiar with my car from the prior owner bringing it in. I was greeted immediately, and allowed the time to explain my concerns and what I was looking to have done. Not only did they inspect every one of my concerns, they even provided a video to help eliminate the usual "yeah right, I'm sure that is really in need of replacement". An Audi is definitely a time and money investment. Dave F. Gave me total honesty. A car barely worth 1,000 with an estimated 6,000 in repairs - even if I had that money, I wouldn't invest it into this car. I went into this shop nervous and a bit hopeless. Now I have more confidence in a plan of action as to what I should do and what future steps I should take to ensure a bit of longevity from my Audi. When I went to pick up my car, it was washed and ALMOST (not really ha) looked as good as the brand new cars being serviced. I did have my oil changed and HID Xenon bulb replaced. Though it was just an oil change and none of the major issues that needed to be taken care of were done (due to finances) I really feel my car is happier and driving better. There is not better place to buy an Audi. Our sales associate, Kyle Fernandez was outstanding. He walked us through the all the options and choices with out showing a sign a being bored or wanting to deal with a customer who was spending 100K instead of someone spending half that. Kyle made sure we got the car we wanted and are happy with our selection. He even tinted our windows, filled up the gas tank himself and made sure the car was fully detailed prior to us leaving. He even encouraged us to sleep on it instead of buying today if we had reservation, we didn't and drove it home that day! Even the VP of the company, Steven Powers came over and made sure we are happy and had any questions he could answer. This is stellar service and I can tell you that we will be Audi buyers for life and I will be purchasing my RS5 from Audi of Denver and Kyle will be the man I talk to. Monica the finance manager walked us through all the options during the paperwork and was honest about what was best for us. This is the part that usually makes people walk out and leave, she was fantastic! This is how dealerships should be ran. Most dealerships have a "boiler Room" feel and you get the impression that the sales guys are all in the back playing dice and going crazy in between dealing with customers. Not at Audi of Denver. Worst decision I ever made was buying a used car from this Dealership. In January I bought a 2007 audi a6 from them that had 85k miles on it. I thought I had found a dream car as I happen to love that style body, and it had less than 100k miles. They would not budge on the price of the car (which I honestly expected as it did seem to be great). So I had someone lend me an extra thousand to buy the car on the spot. As I go to start the car (in the lot as I mind you) it wouldn't catch and start. The salesman who sold me the car (who no longer works there mind you) had to come out and jump it and tells me, "if this happens again bring it in and I'll replace the battery". That should have been my first red flag as they boasted how buying a car from there meant the car was inspected in the highest degree compared to any other dealership. Well fast forward to 2 months later, and I bring the car in for an oil change. They tell me all of the bushings need replacement (around $600) and that I shouldn't keep driving with them like that. I get the bushings replaced. Around June my power steering hose completely blew out when I was driving (another 1k to repair), which again, I did. In the start of August I brought the car in for routine inspection, and they said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle except that the tires were getting worn (I already was aware of that), and that I could use a coolant system flush just to have everything run clean I declined because the coolant really was dirty and the level was where it needed to be. Roughly 2 weeks later I started driving on the highway in traffic, and as I went to accelerate my car got stuck in a gear and would hardly move. I called the dealership and explained what happened, and asked if there was anything they could do to help me since I had just had my car looked at, and they transferred me to the used car manager where I left a message. I week went by and he never called me back. I stopped by the dealership and explained my situation, and asked to speak to the used car manager. He was absolutely unprofessional in the way he spoke to me and told me that the dealership had done nothing wrong in missing something in the inspection that they had just done. He also told me that the car is not a lemon even though I have already spend nearly a third in repairs of what the vehicle I just bought 8/9 months ago (at the time). He never even bothered to apologize for not calling me back when I brought that up to him as well. When I left, I called the dealership to speak with their regional supervisor about my experience in purchasing a car from them and I never received a call back (it's a theme with this place). I have now had my car inspected by 3 different places, and they are telling me that my transmission is going to need to be replaced (a 5k repair for a car I bought for 10k). The reasoning behind the blown transmission was lack of maintenance..... Now that is beyond frustrating as I would have thought the dealership would look at that a) before they sold me the car and b) when I just had brought the car in a couple weeks ago for inspection before I was even having any issues. So here I am with a car that is going to have a transmission blow sooner than later, and I am going to be forced to give it to some dealership for a cheap payout. IF you want to waste your money on a used car that looks great but was not properly taken care of before it is sold like it should be THEN THIS IS YOUR SPOT! I will end this on a positive note and say Dave, the person who I always worked with in the parts department was absolutely understanding and really did his best to see what could be done about my car, unfortunately his higher ups just truly don't care about the people they sell their cars to. read more

Honestly, I've had some service departments better than others but Audi of Denver's service is the absolute worst. Every single time I take my vehicle in they NEVER fix the problem. But if that's not bad enough they seem to add insult to injury but causing additional problems. First a dent, then items missing, then personal items thrown on the floor. Now a rattling noise that wasn't there prior. The lack of concern by anyone is very frustrating having talked to several service people and finally the Service Manager himself. But it gets even better when Audi of North America's corporate office doesn't return your calls. I love my Q5 and the sad thing is I'm currently in the market for another vehicle and I would have bought another Audi in a second had it not been for their customer service and service department. read more

Let my experience be a warning to other customers. My A6 was overheating, and first brought the car to a local Pep Boys, who recommended that we take it to the dealer. Audi Denver was the closest dealer to my house, so we took it there. The technician sent me a nice video outlining the reasons the warning codes were triggered. The service required the replacement of two main parts - including the water pump (not cheap at all). We agreed to the service, and we got a call a day later that our car was fixed. I went to the dealership to pick up the car, and I got a sheaf of papers which had all the work up, which included comments that after the car was fixed, the technician took the car out for a 5 mile drive, and all systems appeared to be functional. I happily paid and drove off. I probably drove about 2 miles and dropped my son off at the water park (actually about 2.1 miles). I then drove to get on I25 to visit a friend in Highlands Ranch. Shortly after getting on the freeway, I noticed the temperature warning light go on. I quickly pulled over to the shoulder to figure out what was going on. The temperature warning gauges were all going off, which was what was happening before. I waited 15 minutes and restarted the car and saw the oil temp was not red, and I limped off the exit. At that point, I was about 2 miles from the dealership. After calling AAA and determining that the wait was going to be epically long, I limped back to the dealship - driving about 0.5 miles at a time, waiting 15 minutes between starts. As soon as I saw the oil temp go close to red, I pulled over and waited. I dropped the car off again. On Monday, I got a call saying that the car's thermostat as burned out. They stated that it was damaged by the overheating. Furthermore, they said that it was really damaged the first time they got the car, but they figured that they didn't want to mention it when I got it back. I asked them how do we know that it wasn't damaged the second time it got overheated, but they were adamant that it was the first time. I am not opposed to paying to having the car fixed properly, but when something is as nonsensical as saying that it was broken the first time, but they didn't want to fix it. Frankly, it seems just as plausible that they messed up repairs the first time, the car overheated, then the thermostat was damaged. They then felt it was better to say that the thermostat was already broken - even though they said everything checked out when they released the car to me the first time. I have elected to have the car towed to a Audi repair shop with 5 stars on Yelp rather than this place. I'll follow up with what they find. Aug 2, 2021 I had AAA take the car to Platinum Auto Service in Littleton (based solely on their reviews on Yelp). Turns out, indeed that the thermostat was broken (forget about who actually broke it), and they quoted a price that was 85% less than Audi Denver - a savings of almost $700. I told Sean to go ahead and fix it and that I needed an oil change as well. The car was ready the next day, so I went down to get it. The shop was very clean and organized. To my surprise, the final bill, including the oil change was even lower than the original quote - almost like the oil change was free. Jimmy explained what they did, and they did note that there was another part that was starting to show wear, but I didn't need to get it fixed at this moment. We could just keep an eye on it with each regular service. I left, and the car feels like new. I have a major service due at the end of the year, and I will definitely go out of my way to get the car serviced at Platinum from here on out. So the key takeaways from this experience is that only go to Audi Denver if you really don't care about money and are willing to deal with a service department that won't take responsibility of their work. My husband and I stopped by the dealership to look at a car. Our salesperson, Jasmine, was awesome. No pressure, extremely knowledgeable, very easy to talk to. Ultimately, we left without a car as we thought we'd found a better deal elsewhere. The "deal" didn't work out and my husband and I both agreed that we were so impressed with Jasmine, that we only wanted to buy a car theough her. Even if that meant waiting for the dealership to get the right car in to fit our needs. We ended up buying an awesome car, with Jasmines help, and we will continue to go to her for all of our future car purchases. BUYER BE WARE, McDonald Audi of Littleton are bait and switch artists and terrible customer service. 2015 Audi lost power, the service department quoted $180 to diagnose the problem. They did not say it starts at $180 and could go up. Had the car towed there. They looked it over and said it looks like the timing belt may have jumped a tooth and that it will cost another $1,100 to disassemble the top end of the engine to diagnose, and if it is the timing belt it would be around $4,000 to fix. I said I wanted the car back for a second opinion. They said it would be $220 to get it back because of shop fees. This was not quoted or approved. After talking to 3 people and a day later they agreed to accept the $179 I WAS QUOTED. I took it to another shop, they found the catalytic converter had failed and was closed up. They put a new converter in for $1,500 and it fixed the problem. I tried to get a hold of a manager 3 times no return call so I asked for a refund from Visa who after showing what happened they refunded the money. 3 months later a collection company is after me. I explained the situation again. I left 2 more massages at McDonald even asking to talk to Mr. McDonald and no calls. Now my credit is getting dinged. Worst customer service ever. They are dishonest and are trying to make me pay for there mess up. I will be talking to my attorney this week to possibly seek damages. read more

I leased an A5 through this dealership and loved the car so I came in to purchase it after the lease expired. I was told that only one person could write up a lease purchase so I sat for over an hour waiting on him to finish with another customer. When my turn came he gave me a hard sell on the extended warranty. I told him I was not interested in the extended warranty and wanted to purchase the car as is. This was not satisfactory to him and he continued to ask me why I did not want it. I told him that I did not have to explain my motivations and that I just wanted to buy the car. After a few minutes of this I had to tell him that if he was not interested in selling me the car, he could go get his manager. I purchased a certified used car from Audi Denver with only 25K miles on and less than 12 months later I got a bill from them over $5,500 to make repairs. Some of this is covered by warranty but simple things like dirty air filter, worn wipers, broken auto trunk release, dirty coolant, transmission leak should have been caught before selling the vehicle. They don't seem to care at all about this when I called them. I like the vehicle, so if you want to purchase an Audi, I would recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

Their lease programs is designed to screw you out of any residual value you may have by requiring you to turn in your car or buy it through only an Audi dealer. This is boarder line criminal. Unlike Subaru or Mercedes finance who gladly send you payoff quotes make it clear how to buy your car at lease end. Just didn't feel like I was getting the service that I should of got from an Audi dealer. Everything was very rushed. Had no idea how to do certain things in the car so I had to ask a sales person to assist me with that. Unfortunately he even didn't know how to work it. Told me that someone will contact me in a few days about it, but never heard back from anyone. Had to change oil in the car a day later after purchasing. The service department was awesome they took care of me a lot better than the sales people did that's for sure. Though I do love the car and hope to keep it for a while but I guess it's just another car to them. read more

This is by far the worst car dealership I've ever worked with. They don't follow through on anything. The service department is terrible even when you've purchased your car there so I can't imagine what it's like if you didn't buy your car from them. They were dishonest when purchasing the car about the pricing. Almost every time I go in the service is beyond disappointing. I love my Audi but would never buy from them again. read more

I have bought 6 cars from the McDonald group and a year or so ago bought 2 Audi's within a month of each other. No issue really with the cars. However, something you should be very aware of VW finance. I had leased both cars, and decided to purchase the car from them because rates are so low. When I called VW Finance they told me I would have to go into the dealership. I am 60. Never had to do that before. But went to the dealership. They told me they could help me, unless I wanted to deal with one of their local finance partners. I was locked in. The only way I could get help was to work with them. That's called a captive market and seems illegal to me. I ended up deciding to get rid of the car and move away from such a situation no certainly don't want a dealership holding me hostage. Every dealership I dealt with in Denver groaned when I told them it was Audi Denver, even a former GM that worked there. I did end up selling it, and we spent, me and the dealership that was buying the car, trying to get the buyout, hours and hours waiting and working it. We finally did get the help. The morale of the story is this, Audi make a great car, my wife still has an SQ5, with almost no miles on it. Beware of any lease with them through VW finance. read more

I bought a 2013 Lexus IS250 from this Dealership in January of this year. The following day I noticed that the rear strut was making awful noises going over the smallest of bumps. On top of that the car would not start due to the battery terminals that were completely loose. I tightened the battery terminals which fixed that problem. I have repeatedly called about the strut, but my calls have not been returned by anyone. I have contacted the sales department and the salesman that sold me the car. The dealership says that used cars go through an extensive inspection process, but it is doubtful because the problems on the car that I bought would have been noticed. The most disturbing fact is that no one has returned my calls or emails. I decided to use this dealership because they make it seem like they are different than others. I understand that you buy used cars as is, but please dont keep repeating that cars go through a rigorous inspection. Not sure how to explain about the service offered by this premium brand. They always try to teach new terms & conditions to customers, today we got to know by one of the service person, if we wait at venue after dropping car for service there will high importance provided and will get it done on priority, that too more than 2 hrs. I have seen FIFO (First in First out), LIFO (Last in First Out) services, now with Audi, new term has been introduced 'WIFO'(Wait inside for First out). Gave our car at noon and service done at 4:30, because we didn't wait at venue. There is not even a courtesy loaner vehicle provided with saying 'service will be done in 2hrs'. Regretting why I bought a car from them and now don't have option to get it serviced outside. Advising any new customers to think before making option to buy car from Audi Littleton, because even with spending thousands of dollars, need to deal with substandard mindset and wasting of your whole day during service. read more
