Bait and switch. Asked for an android head unit, said I didn't care brand or price. They charged me $991 for install of a radio that both isn't android and doesn't work. Went back the next day and they refused refund, return, or replacement because "there is nothing wrong with it". However IT DOESN'T WORK AND IT ISN'T WHAT I PAID FOR! The guy was instantly hostile and told me he won't help me because "there's no money in it" for him. He also said the reason they didn't install what I wanted was because he believed what I wanted was bad and they won't sell it. That would have been nice to know instead of taking my money and putting something worthless in my car. Thieves. I left a review on google maps and they responded saying they want to help. So I returned their call, but they just wanted to argue. They stole from me and then just want to raise their voice at me. They didn't even mention the radio or ask about it. They didn't mention any steps in making the radio work. They didn't mention replacing it or refunding it. They just quoted my review and yelled like a child while I listened like a disappointed father wanting to go dissappear for ciggarettes until they turn 18. So for the head unit they put in, first of all, it isn't android. When I got home, I went to install an app and went to settings and saw there are no settings. It's just a radio. So I went back to trying to get "android auto" to work on it. Sure, the $991 radio isn't as good as a $300 unit, but maybe I could get it to do basic things like play music and do google maps. Plug my phone in, it pops up, and every app greys out. If I press Google Maps, it pops an error that says it cannot be opened. I'd bet this radio only has android auto functionality when in "Park", but my car doesn't have an automatic so I can't ever use the radio. Since they're uninterested in making this right and very interested in keeping my money, they won't troubleshoot it. You could say I'm not a fan of their business. read more

Had a radio installed in my truck, took it back to have them look at it as I couldn't decrease volume using the steering wheel control. They couldn't find any issue. A year later I took it back as my back up camera didn't work and radio volume control issue. They found a loose wire on camera and nothing on radio. I took it in again as camera again didn't work, also volume control. They said it was a bad camera, and I had to replace it. Had to pay $$$. Plus, they said I must have damaged the radio face plate and had to replace that. There wasn't anything wrong with the plate when I took it in. I figured they broke it and blamed me. More $$$$ I had to pay. Oh, they didn't find an issue with the volume control. Time goes on and I stop by to complain of volume control. Parked in front of the door and went in to ask the guy to come look at the radio. He said he couldn't leave the floor. There was nobody in the showroom or the parking lot. So, I asked what I should do and again he said he couldn't leave the floor. Worst customer service I've ever seen in doing follow ups of a business trying to sell products and service. Stay away and find someplace else. Rip-offs. They'll take your money and run. No wonder there wasn't any customers there. read more

About a year ago I had them install a front and rear dash cam in my Acadia. They charged about $220 for just under two hours work. In the process of I installing it the headliner edging was pulled away from the top of the windshield glass and has started to fray as a result. The front dash cam no longer works (not their fault) so I picked up a new one online and called them to see what they would charge me this time. They now said it's a three hour job and would run me about three hundred smackaroonies! I was pretty unthrilled with the first job they did, and now with the huge price increase I decided to pass. read more

They drilled holes in my gas tank of my brand new car when installing my amp and sub. My car was out of commission for 3 months waiting for the part from Germany. I had to miss days of work and pay for the tow. The manager did come down to the dealership and look at it and pay for the tank. He did not offer to pay for the tow or any compensation for the huge inconvenience. I wouldn't recommend going here for stereo equipment or anything for that matter. The dealership said my car could have blown up from the gas leak. This is gross incompetence and all I got was a sorry. read more

Got my 12inch sub installed about four months ago. You see I don't usually have people in my back seat but when I do they've been saying that they can't hear anything but bass.. I didn't think anything of it until I decided to check my back speakers myself, turns out they weren't working. I ripped my trunk liner down and to find out that they actually disconnected my back speakers to wire in my sub woofer... Very disappointed honestly. I specifically asked and made sure to double asked them to wire the RCA's to my head unit, which they assured they would. I could've wired it myself if I knew they were going to take the easy route. read more

I went there for estimate and was quoted $350 for installation of speakers. This was just labor. Representative at store told me it was extremely difficult installation. I went home and googled how to do the installation. It took about 45 minutes for me to do it myself and I am not an experienced tech. So be very skeptical of they quote you an installation. I went here because I had no time to install my stero, amp, and subs myself before leaving town for the holidays. I was very disappointed in the entire experience. I was told this is the price to install the stero along with the wiring to the amp and sub I had and also asked for them to wire both to the trunk. Also, at this point, they tried to add more and more to what I was asking for. When I dropped the car off a few days later, I asked if they could also run the mic to the front center dome light so when I was on the phone, anyone could talk and be heard. When I gave them the wiring for the amp and sub I was told it would be an extra charge, not wanting to cause conflict along with this because this was the main reason I wanted them to do the install, to just take care of it. When I got my vehicle back I noticed the amp right away was under the driver seat, I told them right away this is not the location we discussed along with the mic that was on the far left side where we also discussed where not to put it. When I asked them to correct it they informed me it would be an additional cost and they would not be able to do it that day which presented a problem since I was leaving town the next day. When I was leaving the next day my vehicle would not start, when I opened the hood of my vehicle I found the main positive cable to the entire vehicle was not secured and the end piece to the wiring they did was ready to break, I went ahead and corrected both issues. The area I was heading to for the holidays was below twenty degrees, so as you can imagine, we used the foot heater. This is when the amp cut out a few times from overheating. This was the reason I asked for the amp to be wired to the trunk. When I got to the location I was heading to I went to correct this issue as well, this is when I noticed they secured the amp to the floorboard with two screws, one was a fine course threaded two inch drywall screw and the second one was a regular three inch drywall screw. So, for the end result of my experience, I was very unhappy, I would not recommend, and I learned not to be lazy and to do any further upgrades myself. If you still decide to have them do any work, hopefully you will have a much better experience. read more

This is going to be a somewhat long and way overdue review but these guys deserve 6 stars in my opinion. I went in a few months ago to have a stereo installed that I had purchased elsewhere and they treated me right. The morning after the install my car wouldn't start and I has to get a jump start to get to work. I figured that the 30 mile drive to work would charge the battery but when I got off I had to get another jumpstart. I went straight to AutoZone where they checked the battery and alternator and said both were good and asked if I had any work done on the car recently and when I said I had a stereo put in they said it was probably a crossed wire so I called Audio Express and set up an appointment for the next day to have them check it. A few hours later they said they couldn't find anything wrong so I took it to a different AutoZone where the guy said my battery was shot. I bought a new battery and haven't had a problem since. I'm giving Audio Express 5 stars for the awesome way I was treated and their patience. read more

Requested to have a Camara Mirror installed. They told me it would $360 for an hour and half of work so I ask them, for that much on labor they could cut an area on my bumper so the rear camara could be protected. the request was not done, so a short time later the camara got damaged which exposed the wire and shorted out the camera mirror. Call several times and they would not answer or hang up on me. Had to buy for a new system and pay to have it removed and the new one installed. they owe me $500 this will not happen after seeing all the complaints they have so I will post at all the forums buyers be ware they are rip off artists. read more

I had spend $1600 on a new amp and sub for my Jeep wrangler. Spent a whole day there waiting for it to be done. Drive out of the parking lot and the whole stereo stops and restarts when my car automatically starts/stops at lights. Call them and they tell me to bring it in, couple hours later they say they need to order a part and they'll pay for it Bring my Jeep in the next week, a couple hours later they say part doesn't work and all they can do is take out everything and give me a refund. For the 5th time, I brought it in and had to wait 2 hours for them to take it all out Such a waste of time and frustration. These guys don't know what they are doing. Fast and friendly service! I called the shop earlier today and spoke with Ian who was very accommodating in being able to get me in today despite my tight work schedule. He was knowledgeable and the same prices were confirmed in store. James was very friendly and did a great job narrowing down the 2-din receiver I was deciding on once I got there. There were other friendly and helpful people there on staff as well, and they made me and my husband feel super welcome and taken care of. They recommended some places to eat and hang out while we waited, and they were done very soon after. It was a quick painless experience, and the install looks really good. I'm very happy with my new system, and I appreciate the informative demo from Lawrence after everything was done. I definitely recommend these guys. Ian was awesome after he understood what could of happened. Not only did they leave empty speaker boxes in the back of the truck. They left trash and items from the cab of the truck in the back bed. I told Ian that I had inquired while I was there how much it would cost to have my speakers replaced. Because as I said the system they installed sounded great. At no time did I ask for a favor or monetary reimbursement for items that could of been lost in the back of the truck. You call it Hypethetical what could of happened. These guys are awesome!! I brought in my 2011 Mercedes to upgrade the head unit, and add a backup camera. Jeff, my salesperson, made sure I had exactly what I was looking for, and didn't pressure me into buying the most expensive equipment. He got me exactly what I wanted and stayed within my budget. Ian, one of the managers there, also ended up saving me even more money once he was working on my vehicle and realized one of the pieces of equipment we thought was needed, actually wasn't necessary. Take it back after about a week amp didn't work. Started looking into the install realized quite a few things One several piece of the car where not put back together including the back seat wasn't even snapped back into place. Two all the lines where run together and taped together I mean all of the preouts. Remote. Power all electric tapped and not even run under correctly several spots you can see the cords Remote power of the head unit was not done correctly basically amp would stay on even when car is off Brand new car. Had to get a brand new battery. Thanks for that! Maybe try the fuse box next time not tap into a continuous power supply. Lastly I called. Basically told all I can do is bring it back in and the tech can fix his mistakes. And it's cause their sooooo busy techs will miss these things Yeah no thanks. I called in for a quote about replacing my audio system in my car. Guy was super rude, short with me when I asked questions. Quoted me at $150 + labor for a 30 min job. I ended up shopping around to find a better deal. They took my information and REFUSED to take my off their subscriber list for the unnecessary texts they send for supposed sales. Wanted me to do a dance for them and reply correctly before removing from the list. Really odd business model, and even more odd way to attract customers. Great install on my backup camera, though the installed price was higher than displayed... For 2 weeks. Then, I had static on the radio. They ran a bad ground. Two hours later, I understand their bad wiring and reran it correctly. No static. However, no backup camera now. I'd take it back but I don't have the time to be without a vehicle for hours while they fix their mistakes. CRAZY FINDINGS FROM THIS PLACE! Had two subs/amp installed (Kenwood) about 6 months ago. Had a professional look at the work recently and I gotta say I felt like a sucker coming to audio express. 1.) There were an extra THREE UNNECESSARY fuses put in! 2.) They just SCRATCHED the paint to make a good ground 3.) The way they positioned thing was just plain sloppy! 4.) Wires held together with duct tape! 5.) Wires exposed to set my subs up to blow/short out! If you ever go to this place I cannot stress enough to just buy the equipment you need then get it installed by a professional. These guys work there system good for you to fail. Straight up con-artists! Cannot trust them. Just get a little educated before coming here, and SCAN THE RECEIPT CAREFULLY. read more
