Blackened grouper with some bay seasoning. Try their house pepper sauce for some spicy heat.

Fun patio dining in the water. Great place to stop for lunch after hiking in the Guana preserve. I had blackened grouper, fried green tomato's and peel and eat shrimp. Shrimp tastes fresh and panko breading on tomatoes was perfectly cooked. The bread basket had corn bread, pumpkin bread squares but the real gem were the Johnny cakes. (Like Hush puppies) The grouper was delicious and I sprinkled bay seasoning and also tried their house hot pepper sauce. Dog friendly dining!

My husband suggested this place for lunch and I am glad he did because it is located on the water in Vilano Beach and the food was pretty good too. We sat outside along the water at a picnic table and had a big umbrella to shield us from the sun. The menu offers plenty of appetizers, salads, fried seafood baskets, sandwiches and entrees. I had the fried flounder club sandwich. It came on Texas toast with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion. One side is also included so I chose sweet potato fries. Everything tasted good and the portion size was nice. My husband had the fried oysters basket with fries and a hush puppy. We also received the complimentary bread basket. The pumpkin bread was my favorite. Service was quick and friendly.

Our friends stay in the area during the summer and go to this place almost every night. We came down to join them this year and it was great! Got seated quickly and food was excellent! When the food was brought out our waitress immediately checked that everyone had the correct side, which was nice of her because my husband was given fries when he ordered mac & cheese. Scallops were some of the best I've ever had!

This was my first time at Aunt Kate's, but it won't be the last! This is a great place to grab a seafood basket (oyster, shrimp, other types of fish, etc.), sit outside to enjoy a beautiful day, and grab a cold beverage. On this visit, I had an oyster basket with fries and an iced tea along with great service from Ashley and a beautiful waterfront view. Wanting to be closest to the water, I grabbed a shaded picnic table by the water line, they also have a spacious patio area and plenty of indoor seating. Pricing for lunch averaged $30 per person including the drinks, tip and tax. An overall wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning soon.

Views were wonderful for sunset and a great place to watch for dolphins. I got the blackened mahi sandwich and it was so salty it was almost impossible to eat. I think I'd need to get it grilled next time. The fried shrimp basket was pretty good and I really enjoyed the potato wedges that come as the French fries.

Server was polite and friendly. They do not have WIFI, so you need to talk to your people. Food came quickly and prices were reasonable. I ordered the Cobb Salad w/grilled shrimp. Healthy portion. The blue cheese dressing was delicious. They give you a mixed bread basket with Datil Cornbread, Johnny cake, and pumpkin bread. Very unique. Would definitely come back.

Our server was Stephanie, and she was fantastic. Great personality and on point. Place was very clean and everyone was friendly. My burger was great, and everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Large place with plenty of parking. Beautiful views of the water. Highly recommend! Ask for Stephanie!!

Aunt Kate's offers a super casual vibe, but what it lacks in fancy decor, it more than makes up for with great food and a fantastic location right on the water. The inside is simple, but the back deck has a really nice setup with a great view and live music to set the mood. The white she crab soup/chowder was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, it was hands down the star of the show. The coconut shrimp with the sweet orange/piña colada dipping sauce was also a big hit, and a real treat! We also shared the crab cakes (which were tasty), the Ahi tuna nachos (not my favorite, I would not get again), and the Mahi sandwich, which was fresh and satisfying. Overall, the food was great, the atmosphere was chill, and it's the perfect spot if you're looking for a casual, waterfront dining experience. If we were in town again, we'd return!

We ordered the muscles appetizer which were very good, but could use some fresh herbs instead of what seemed to be dried seasonings. there were almost 1/2 dozen that were served to us that were unopened and inedible. We also ordered the blackened scallops with a rice and beans side and grilled mahi with a side of pickled beets. The scallops were cooked very nicely, but could've benefited from more blackening seasoning. The rice and beans were good, but benefited from the house made hot sauce. The mahi was cooked a bit over, making it a bit tough and dry. The beets were delicious and a generous portion was served. Service was terrific and Samantha was friendly and attentive. We purchased a bottle of the amazing housemade hot sauce to bring home.

We ate staying at North Beach campground so we decided to walk from our site to this restaurant. We have been here before and enjoyed the food. We ordered fried green tomatoes for any appetizer and along with our drinks a carphania and a margarita. Both great. They also brought out a bread basket with sweet cornbread spice bread and other breads. Our meals came out , hunny ordered the dish tacos with collards and hush puppies. I ordered the special which was dill chicken salad on Texas toast with fries. Everything was wonderful and since we have been here before very consistent we are very pleased. We highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

Dinner was phenomenal! I think I'll forever be dreaming of this meal on repeat. We started with garlic oysters and a flatbread from the specials menu. Both were delicious! The oysters were perfection. Then the catch of the day was corvina prepared herb crusted and yes about all of this dish!. I had scallops pan seared but plated similar with the herb crusted fixings and wow wow wow! This was amazing and easily the best meal we've had in a while! One of our favorite things to do in every new city is seek out the local favorites and discover our own go to restaurants. This time, we decided to give St. Augustine Fish Camp a try. Right away, we were impressed. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the waterfront views made for a great dining experience. We ordered the clam chowder, Spicy Seafood Linguini, and Shrimp & Grits. Unfortunately, I'd love to be able to rave about the food, but shortly after we finished eating, I became sick and dealt with an upset stomach for the rest of the night. My fiancé also didn't feel well afterward, although her symptoms were much milder. This was the first and only meal we'd eaten since earlier that afternoon, so we suspect it may have been related to something we ate, though we can't say that with absolute certainty. That said, one bad experience doesn't define a restaurant. The service and atmosphere were both excellent, and it's clear from the many positive reviews that plenty of people have had great meals here. We'll give St. Augustine Fish Camp another chance before we leave town, but next time we'll probably order different menu items. Thanks for reading, we hope our experience is helpful!

Exceptional Service, Fresh Seafood, and a Perfect Waterfront Atmosphere…read more My wife and I had one of the best dining experiences we've ever had at The Boathouse in St Augustine. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the water, and the atmosphere alone was worth the visit. To make it even better, a sweet, friendly kitty joined us and rested at our feet while we ate. She was gentle, lovable, and happy to let us pet her, a perfect little addition to an already beautiful afternoon. From the moment we arrived, the staff was outstanding. The hostess seated us immediately, and our server, Tom, was exceptional. He kept our drinks full, checked in just enough without ever interrupting, and always kept an eye on our table as he walked by. His attention to detail was impressive. I ordered the stuffed grouper, and it was phenomenal! Clearly fresh, perfectly seasoned, white and flaky, with a decadent crab stuffing that set the dish apart. My wife had the shrimp skewer salad and loved every bite. The shrimp were fresh, tender, and prepared perfectly. During our meal, I mentioned to Tom that shrimp and grits is my traditional go‑to dish. Even though I didn't order it, Tom surprised us with a complimentary serving of shrimp and grits from Chef Mike! Let me tell you, it was easily the most unique and delicious shrimp and grits I've ever had. The dish included onions and a layer of perfectly seasoned collard greens beneath creamy, balanced grits and fresh, succulent shrimp. We added it to our meal and finished every bite. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another thing, Tom asked if we saved room for dessert. We hadn't; but when he told us about their locally made key lime pie, we had to try it. It was incredible: perfectly tart, perfectly sweet, the crust was amazing and the ideal size for two people to share. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. I strongly recommend The Boathouse; try the stuffed grouper, the shrimp and grits, or the shrimp skewer salad if you want something lighter. And whatever you do, save room for the best key lime pie you'll find anywhere in Florida.
