Standard quick service restaurant…read more They'll screw up your order they serve you the wrong food, but that's what we expect in a quick service restaurant inaccurate average food. Order the salad fries and onion rings. They messed up the salad and didn't include the onion rings in my order But the bag was sealed and I didn't check. I was stupid I didn't check it.. The salad was fine next time. I'll just make sure I check it before I leave.

I have no way of proving this, but my experiences point to this being plausible if not true. We met a cabal of relic merchants also stranded in Dallas with us during the FAA slowdown of flights across the country. We were packed into a van at DFW and dropped off at one of five hotels around this Whataburger. We agreed to meet and eat here because why not. We were too tired to discuss which of the hotel eateries was least likely to give us food poisioning for the next leg of our journey home so burgers and bulls*it were the order of the evening at this 24/7 location. Our food was brought to us by young people with haunted smiles and lost souls. They floated about the place doing their job late in the evening, led by a quiet, severe-looking valkyrie in an orange polo shirt and white ball cap. She silently herded the youngsters into their run of fast food production. The food tasted hollow and false. The empty restaurant like an empty mall stripped of its branding and marquees. Someone noted that the air smelled of accepted punishment, like a prison of the doomed and remorseful. No one was happy. We lost our will to laugh. Our stories lost their edge of excitement in the curdling mists of gray ennui. We five who have gazed into the lustful eyes of demons and heard the bittersweet melodies of the ice mermaids of the North Seas were stripped of the will to carve joy out of our unfortunate and unexpected reunion over meat, cheese, and starches. The valkyrie glared across the gulf at our table, willing us to leave before she could inseminate us with her ageless madness.

In-N-Out Burger - Travel Day Redemption…read more Yesterday turned into one of those travel days where everything that could go sideways... did. We spent the morning finishing up a job and wrapped around 1:00 PM. From there it was straight to the Cleveland airport while trying to make flight reservations on the drive. Lunch? Not happening. Through TSA quickly, but then came the marathon walk to the gate. Houston was the same story -- another long trek between terminals while passing what felt like dozens of tempting places to eat. Unfortunately we had a short layover and no time to stop. By the time we landed in Dallas we were hungry, tired, and running on nothing but airplane snacks. Then came the next adventure... rental cars. None available. Finally Avis saved the day, but not before we stood outside in line waiting for cars to be cleaned and released to renters. Just when things couldn't get any stranger, the airport announced an evacuation alert. At this point we just looked at each other and laughed. But I had a plan. I told my traveling partner, "There's an In-N-Out about 10 minutes away once we finally get a car." Now that's motivation. We finally made the short drive and pulled into burger heaven. The drive-thru line was wrapped around the building (of course it was), so inside we went. No line! It was about 9:30 at night and the order was easy: * Double-Double Protein Style * Fries well done My buddy went classic with the Double-Double on the bun -- no shame there. One small disappointment... the shake machine was down. But a few minutes later the burgers arrived and all was forgiven. There isn't an In-N-Out anywhere in Oklahoma, so whenever I'm in Texas I take advantage. And after a day of airports, delays, missed meals, rental car chaos, and evacuation announcements... That burger tasted absolutely perfect. Of course the adventure wasn't over yet. We still had a three-hour drive home because tornado activity had temporarily shut down Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City. But at that point none of it mattered. Full bellies. Smiling faces. Happy ride home. Sometimes a great burger is exactly what the day needed.

The food is good, the crew are friendly and efficient, burgers are delicious. The place is cleanread more

I've never had an issue with the food so I'll leave that part alone…read more Ambiance good as usual. But this time (April 15, 2026 at 12:35) I pulled up through the drive through and the two people that were outside with tables looked at me with the most unwelcoming vibe. I asked if I had to order with the and the gentleman just nodded. He had a terrible attitude towards taking my order and when it was time to take my payment, he just held the reader close to him. I'm supposed to know when I'm ready to pay with no indication? No "hello how are you?" No "thank you have a great day". I understand times are tough but leave your bad day at home when you're getting paid to work a service job. Been in the industry for decades and attitudes are never rewarded, can't forget about the person at the window not greeting or anything until it was just time to hand me my food. I will not be coming back to this location.

I got home open my box and there was roaches in my food and inside the bag, is this a joke? I couldn't believe this I started sobbing crying had my husband take all of it back including drink. I am truly devastated I have never had this happened to me I am so sad, I don't write reviews ever anywhere but man I am so emotionally unstable after this I wish I was joking. I will never eat this again here or anywhere I am done with Canes.
