The line moved fast at this outdoor kiosk stand. There was nice staff there today. The menu is fun and you might need to wait for some of the most popular items, but it's worth the extra time. I was going to get the big salted pretzels, but they had these little pretzels in a cup hot and fresh. They were delicious and might taste exactly like the big one. The batter seems to have a little bit of sweetness which is not off putting, because I still get the satisfying saltiness that I crave from a pretzel. This is a little stand located in Park Green right in front of Maggiano's. There are a few parking options nearby but your best bet is probably at Dick's North lot. At lot of other Auntie Aunt's locations, I've found service to be unfriendly or rude. I'm not sure if I've just gotten lucky, but I've never had bad service here and I've been here a couple times. I've never had to stand in line and pretzels are always fresh. If you're not in a rush, take your food and enjoy it at one of the seating areas at Park Green and watch the turtles. My son and I did just that yesterday! Pretzel dog and pretzel bites and we both tried the frost lemonade concoctions! Robert got mango-lemonade frost and I tried the blue raspberry-lemonade frost (love me some blue foods). They are frozen lemonade ice and creamy at the same time- both satisfied our thirst since it was muggy -hot yesterday afternoon! Pretzels are always consistently good! They told me they were out, so I said pretzel bites were fine. They added up my order then could not scan my reward. They said it was for a small pretzel nugget, I said that was fine and they said they were out of small pretzel nuggets, but not regular size. I am not going to stand in line and argue that doesn't make sense and the difference is $.50 so just charge me $.50 and ring it up as a small. This is my first time to an Auntie Anne's and I was very disappointed. I have order 2 mini Pretzel Dogs since we were hungry and always wanted to try it. The cook must have been busy doing something else and forgot they were cooking something because the batch that we got was all burnt to the point it had a bitter taste and pretty much not edible until you cut the bottom off. I will probably not go back to this place again. It was pretty expensive of $7.29 each for a burnt piece of dough. Every time at The Town Centre (or pretty much any mall in jacksonville, for that matter), I just have to either have a salted pretzel with cheese dipping sauce or a pretzel dog. I'm giving this particular location 3 stars rather than my usual 4 for Auntie Anne's because they can get pretty busy and they move slow. Also, they'll often be out of what I want to order and I'm never in the mood to wait, so I'll move along and just do without (pout). In the very heart of the St. John's Town Center in the circular court in front of Maggianos Little Italy this location receives heavy foot traffic of local retailers, surrounding neighborhood dwellers and visiting shoppers. Its popularity is observed through the line it consistently draws during lunch hours and in the evenings. The pretzels are made fresh and hot. The menu offerings include soft drinks, lemonade,various types of pretzels and bites that can include pepperoni or beef franks (pigs in a blanket for those familiar with the term). The associates are quick and precise. Their questioning during the orders are to determine the taste needs of the pretzel lover. Questions I've received include "what size?", "would you like to add a dipping sauce for 10 cent more?", "would you like to add a drink for xx amount to your order?", "have you downloaded our app for convenience?" And more. The questions are done at precise intervals during the ordering, retrieval and the closing salutations. It's never dogmatic or robotic. This is a plus. I prefer this location over the Avenues Mall locale. The Avenues Mall location is great with total recall of frequent guests and their go-to faves. However, the consistency of service with a smile, an offer to come back and using the name of frequent customers is on point at St. John's Town Center. This is a huge PLUS! Another noteworthy mention is how the grounds around the store is free from debris which is common at some outdoor places but not here; not an errand napkin or pretzel dog foil. And I really appreciated the young lady who was the cashier (wish I had remembered her name) but she counted the change back to the customer in front of me. That is such an oddity in retail these days and it was refreshing to see how her level of service was value added. She is a great representation of the type of front line brand representative that any retailer would be proud to have. When I asked her about her regional manager and when she would get the next visit, she even knew his name, Nandy Colon, and was kind enough to say, "He comes anytime and he's a great person." When a person representing a company can say something positive to a perfect stranger about a superior it's a good reflection on the leadership and that person as an extension of that leadership.
