I'm sorry to say this place is not what it used to be. We've been going since the original in Homewood opened - and this just isn't the same. A few months ago we went; beer and a pizza. My wife's beer came out totally skanky like it had been sitting in the tap way too long. Waitress agreed and replaced. Pizza came out super salty. We weren't going to go back but happened to be in the area again and decided to give it a second chance. Ordered basically the same thing. Ironically the beer came with a rotten orange in it as a dresser. Ugh. Seriously? The waitress staff is always pleasant and good but the food quality control here is really terrible. If you order drinks - better check them. Yuck. Sorry Aurelio's - there's too many other places to go that I don't have to worry about rotten stuff. read more

We visited on Sunday to grab lunch and watch the Bears game. We ordered a lemonade vodka and a bloody mary and both were weak couldn't even tell if alcohol was added so ordered a beer and I think they only had four in their selection (Bud Light, Coors Light, MGD, Michelob Ultra.) Then to make things worse no functioning TV's not one...how's that? Kinda explain why there were on 6 customers at noon on Sunday. I won't make that mistake again...I suspect this location will be closing soon. read more

Aurelio's pizza is by far the best pizza in town!! I love how the sweetness of the sauce compliments the saltiness of their pepperoni. It can be a little pricey but it's worth it, in my opinion. The inside dining area is very cute and during Covid they opened up their parking lot for outdoor seating area. Definitely recommend getting yourself a delicious pizza from here! read more

This place is classic. Great food and great pizza. Were were served all afternoon by Linda who was absolutely amazing; very hospitable. First time trying this location. I like their high wooden booths, Waitress asked me what I wanted to drink and I said unsweetened iced tea...She asked me if I wanted lemon and I said no. Guess what was floating in my tea? Later on she asked me if I wanted a refill on my DIET SODA... Luckily, I went for the buffet and didn't need a waitress...lol For the record she was friendly. Food was very good. I love their pizza! Great sauce and crust! I went for full lunch buffet which includes broasted chicken, Italian sausage and beef...$12.50 drink included. Good deal. Only visited this location once. I won't make that mistake again!!! Got a table for three almost immediately then sat waiting for over twenty five minutes!!! No wait staff even acknowledged we were there! Dining room was about 2/3 full. Waitress visited the booth right next to ours three times but never even acknowledged our group and the hostess walked past us two or three times! After thirty minutes we left and went to Buffalo Wild Wings instead! Had drinks on our table within two minutes of being seated! Yes. 5 stars. And I'll tell you why. Sometimes a man loves a pizza more than his wife, kids, work, and yes, even his car. And I would sacrifice them all if I could exist in the state of pure bliss I feel everytime I bite into another slice of Aurelio's Pizza. Their ingredients are the freshest I've ever tasted on a pizza, and they are the ONLY pizzeria I can think of that uses the right cheese to crust ratio! Although I've never smoked crack, I can empathize with crack addicts having tasted the sweet sausage and spinach toppings at AP. As far as pizzerias go, Aurelio's is a legend in these here parts, and definitely worth trying!!! read more

Let's face it. It's hard to make a bad pizza. (Unless you live in Florida, in which case you'll have a valid argument against that) But after many, many years of enjoying what I consider to be God's perfect food, I can say that there are only a few pizzerias around that I've found to have a signature taste all their own. Aurelio's IS such a place. Now, as if this isn't high praise enough, I can go one step further and give them extra credit for keeping that taste consistent with almost every one of their satellite locations. (I have had one disappointment, but after all, no one's perfect!) It has to be difficult for an establishment to keep such tight control over a business that's branched out into so many locations all over Chicagoland...and beyond! That has to be one major ingredient for their success. However, my review here is for this newer Frankfort location and since I was only picking up a phone order recently, I can only review two things...the pizza (which I'd already suggested above as terrific), and the process. I say "process", because they actually have a pick-up window for all the over the phone orders so you never even have to get out of your car when you arrive! I love it! In all my years of my Pizza Pick-ups, I've always had to park my truck, walk to the back of the building by the kitchen (where it's a thousand degrees), tell them my name, and then be directed to squeeze in between about six other people, all sitting on one long bench by the door. But no longer, here. With this new location, anyway, that's all going to be a thing of the past... God willing. Some people really need to shower more often. read more

I almost always try to stick with the Homewood Aurelio's. The Frankfort location is the one exception I make. I think the pizza here tastes just like the original. The staff is really efficient here. Even when it's busy I have been served relatively fast. The dining room is nice and there's an area for private parties. I have been to the pizza buffet one time and it was really good and I'm not generally a fan of anything buffet. If you call in a pick up order they have a drive-thru pick up window. Aurelio's will always be one of my favorites and this location doesn't disappoint. read more

My favorite pizza in the area! I remember going to the downtown Frankfort location when I was growing up until the fire took out the building. Years later and my family still returns to eat their amazing pizza. This location is nice and really big. The decor is cool and they have some beautiful satined glass pieces hanging my the kitchen. After a less-than-perfect experience with our pizza, Joe (the owner) made every effort to contact us and 'make it right.' His customer service was amazing and he did everything he said he would do. I grew up eating Aurelio's Pizza so it is always a bit weird to come to this "new" location after the original burned down. But the pizza is still the same as it ever was and it is such a treat to eat it. The sauce has a sweetness to it that is unmatched at any other pizza place I have tried. I know that may sound off putting but trust me, it is not. I prefer the thin crust over the pan or deep dish, it is easier to eat and not as gluttonous. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lively and there were groups of teenagers as well as families eating out on a Saturday night. But the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The prices are also reasonable, I think our bill for a medium pizza, salad and 2 beers was just over $30. You really can't bet that. I would recommend Aurelio's to anyone at any of their locations, everyone should try the sauce once in their life. read more

I've been to Aurelio's many times in the past, but I was really disappointed with our experience today. We came with out-of-state guests for a late lunch on a Saturday during Labor Day Weekend. We had to wait several minutes for anyone to show up at the host stand, and then when we were seated we waited 10+ minutes for anyone to stop by our table with water or take a drink order or even to say hello, but no one did. We decided to cut our losses since we had a hungry toddler with us and drive down the road to Portillo's instead. It was such a shame and I was embarrassed by the quality of service considering we suggested the restaurant to our guests. I don't know where all the servers were, but it wasn't the busiest time and should have been staffed better for Fall Fest weekend. read more

We have heard many good things about this pizza chain from friends and coworkers. They all were amazed that we have not tried this restaurant since moving to the Chicago region. So, we were taking a trip to get a Christmas tree and happened to drive by this location. Looking for a nice hot meal on a cold day we decided to stop in. The atmosphere was pleasant and the dining room was nice. There were many folks coming in going to a party in a back room. We were recommended to get the lunch buffet but unfortunately it was a weekend. Due to this we started out with some mozzarella sticks and a salad. The salad was was very nice and just enough for starters. For a main entree we ordered a large stuffed mushroom pizza. We were not sure what we had ordered based on the various takes on stuffed or thick crust pizza. When it came we had a pizza that was truly stuffed. It was flavorful and plenty for us to take some home. Unfortunately I am not a huge cheese fan and it did seem like there were some various types of cheese on the pizza. So I was only able to eat a piece and even then it bothered my stomach. Most likely it was my stomach and not the quality of pizza. Overall our experience was nice and the server was good to deal with. We will stop in someday in the future to try the other options for pizzas. read more

I remember my dad ordering from Aurelio's down in Bourbonnais every time we wanted pizza. As a kid, I hated it...I always wanted Domino's or Little Caesar's Now as an adult...totally different ball game The Girl and I went here last Monday for their dinner buffets that they have on Monday and Tuesday night Which I think is a GREAT idea for a pizza joint, considering Mondays and Tuesday are pretty much DEAD for restaurants all around So, anyway, we got the buffet, and went at it like a couple of pros: mountains of pizza each, with garlic bread, salad (to keep it healthy), and ice cream afterwards All while we were making a cute little chunk baby giggle at us... And, since I mentioned the ice cream...probably the BEST buffet style ice cream I've EVER had I've never been to Golden Corral or anything, but this stuff made my eyes roll Our waitress Annie was top notch, which is different, since most buffet waitresses/waiters usually just care about getting your drinks filled.... And...that's...it But she was really on the ball I've never been disappointed in Aurelio's for as far back as I can remember (as a grown up, at least)...they have great pizza, with a nice sweet (but not too sweet) sauce (Wait! I do remember that A PIECE of their sausage pizza tasted like a new pool liner...but that with the only minor blip) And great complimenting foods as well And they even keep their bathrooms really clean!!! read more

I ordered a fiesta sausage with onions over the weekend, plus an order of tomatoe bread and garlic bread. I paid by debit card and told the girl to put the 44.41 charge thru for $50. I received an undercooked pizza with the worst graining sausage imaginable, under done tomatoe bread (cost $4.75) and the garlic bread was one turano roll with garlic spread - for $4.75. Then they put the charge through as 54.41 to add more insult to injury. never again. read more

Our family grew up on Aurelio's in Homewood from way back in the 70's. Since then I've had pizza from Tinley and Mokena and it's always has been pretty decent although none of them are as good as Homewood. I've dined in the Frankfort location maybe twice a few years back and wasn't very impressed but thought maybe they had an off night. Delivery tonight was terrible the worst pizza I've ever eaten anywhere! Tonight we ordered a fiesta thin cheese and sausage. It was cold, dried out, the edges were so dark and hard as a rock you couldn't eat it. No cheese to speak of, couldn't even barely see cheese. Didn't even resemble an Aurelio's pizza! Joe would be disappointed! I called and they were very polite and offered to rush another out. 2nd pizza arrived hot but not much better in quality. Crust still so hard around the edges it could cut your mouth or break a tooth. Cheese was visible on a small section, maybe four pieces the rest hardly had any cheese. Edges still way over done. Horrible tasting. I called back immediately and spoke with shift manager. She was nice, apologetic and refunded the order promptly. I'm very disappointed in the Frankfort location, how some people give it good reviews is beyond me. I'll never eat from there again. read more

My family and I order from here all the time. And I was raised on Crete Aurelios. So, I've always been a fan of Aurelios pizza. The Frankfort store is special to me because of its' amazing customer service. I have only been disappointed by the customer service here once in 2 years. It happened last night. But after speaking to the manager, Adam, I don't even remember why I was unhappy.(wink, wink) That's the stuff that customer service is made of people. When something goes wrong they happily fix it. And when the owner(I think) found out that we were having Aurelios as our last "Hoorah!" before my 7 year old daughter got her tonsils out; he brought ice cream to the pick-up window for her. Aurelios Frankfort makes us feel like we matter as a family. That feeling will always make this store a very special local gem for us. read more

We also like their buffet on Mondays which includes chicken, salad and dessert and of course pizza. Our only complaint would be that it's a little pricey. Which is not for the faint of heart. JK. Aurelio's has always been a favorite for their great pizza, but this review is for the excellent space, service and food for a banquet party we hosted. We had my son's first birthday party there this past weekend and were so wow-ed with the entire experience. Hosting a party of 70 is not easy, but Aurelio's made it easy on us. Our guests were also thrilled with the great service and food. The staff (shout out to Amy) was so attentive and helped with so many things that kept the afternoon going smoothly. We normally start with a combo appetizer (choosing 2 or 3 of our favorites) and at the end you can make your own ice cream cone or dish (free). I'm a big fan of Aurelio's pizza, particularly the one in Homewood. The Frankfort Aurelio's has the benefit of having the "old ovens", so the pizza comes out nice and crispy, especially when you ask for it well done. It's a little pricey, but you really can't beat the taste. The servers are always kind and courteous, and we always get prompt service, whether a party of two or ten. We typically order a salad as an appetizer; the cobb and antipasto salads are delicious. Their thick and thin crust pizzas are both excellent, but they can take up to 30 minutes to cook. The pizza always comes out hot and fresh, and reheats just as well at home. Some nights, we will get the deep dish cookie dessert, which is to die for. Aurelio's also has a great rewards program that sends frequent coupons for free dessert or appetizer as well as $10 cash rewards toward purchases. The program is free, which is even better. My only complaint about Aurelio's aside from the price would be the saltiness of the food. I'm not a big fan of salt to begin with, but every time I eat Aurelio's, I am very very thirsty all night and into the next day. So, if you're watching your sodium intake or aren't a big fan of salty food, just be aware of that. read more
