I found this company here on yelp and was very pleased with the service I received! I was having trouble with my water heater and the pilot light wouldn't stay lit. The previous plumbers I had used many times before came out and looked at it briefly and said they recommended just getting a new hot water heater since mine was near the end of its lifespan, and quoted me 2k for this work. I talked to a few others on the phone who recommended the same thing without looking at the water heater. Then I talked to Austin Plumbery who said they could send someone out for a free diagnostic visit and tell me what work they think needed to be done. Travis came out ahead of schedule and said he thought the water heater just needed a new control and I should be able to get a few more years out of it because it was a quality brand. I was really grateful for his expertise and honesty as spending around $200ish dollars was much more palatable than spending 2k in the middle of the holidays! This the second time I've used Austin Plumbery. The first was for replacement of my water heater. In both instances, I had superb customer service and workmanship. You know those time you've had a home maintenance issue you keep putting off forever, then you finally get it fixed and wonder how what took you so long? This is the epitome of one of those times. I've had low pressure at my home for a long time now. I've been very busy lately and my entire home having low water pressure seemed like something too complex and expensive to deal with, so I kept putting it off. I finally got a hold of these guys, got an appointment scheduled two days out to have it checked. It turns out all it was, was a simple low water pressure valve adjustment giving me an extra 20 lbs of pressure. Jared the plumber was great. He fixed the pressure and replaced a leaking, front yard water hose bib I happened to mention at the last minute, in less than 30 minutes for cheap! Whyyyyyyy did I wait so long?! Travis was Great, professional and genuine! This company was fantastic! I made three seperate requests from two other leading plumbing companies and Austin Plumbery responded within 24 hours! I needed to replace my ADA kitchen faucet and repair/replace the garbage disposal. The quote was fair and reasonable compared to the other two companies. I scheduled my appointment and was given a time. Travis arrived within 15 minutes of appointment time! My garbage disposal had to be replaced but that was expected and my new kitchen faucet is awesome! Travis even filled the soap dispenser! I asked if Austin Plumbery makes service calls to Kyle and they do! Their service area reaches up to San Marcos. I originally heard about this company through my home warranty company. When they came out to inspect my water heater, nothing was wrong and they even showed me there wasn't the sediment build up I thought there was by hooking up a hose to the drain to both water heaters. They did not charge me any extra for this. I had another house that had no hot water and had scheduled another company to come inspect prior to Austin Plumbery coming to my other house. The quote provided by the company was for a part this same company replaced two years ago and they wanted to charge me $720. I was able to take a picture of the unit and send to Austin Plumbery and they were able to come repair the next business day for $200 less than the other company quoted. I had a so called plumber come out and replace a leaky tub spout in my upstairs master bathtub. He fixed it but after a shower in that tub my kitchen downstairs (which is directly under this bathroom) had water leaking from the light fixtures. I called the plumber back out and he said it was the faucet handle that was causing the water leak so he replaced that. He left and after another shower use the water started leaking again! I called him but he never answered any of my subsequent calls. That's when I looked on yelp and found y'all. Travis and Robert came out and within 5 minutes Travis located the leak and fixed it. I was contacted within one hour of requesting service from my home warranty company for a leaking toilet. The pleasant scheduler from Austin Plumbery said they had an immediate opening, the service technician called me 20 minutes before arriving and was on time as promised. Travis was professional and knowledgeable. He assessed the toilet needed a new wax gasket, as I suspected, and went to work. He was finished within an hour and problem solved! Over the years...this company has done everything for me from replacing my old toilets to installing a new hot water tank that is located in a very tight and difficult spot. Most recently, Travis came out to replace my kitchen sink faucet during the busy Thanksgiving week. Travis has always been super friendly and very efficient. I love how I can send pictures of my issues in advance...so when they get here they are prepared and ready to get to work. This is my go-to company for all my plumbing issues. I have been using Travis and his team for several years now. They have done everything from replacing two hot water heaters in an attic that others said would be nearly impossible to remove and replace. I have also had them replace my older, original toilets from the '90s to new low flow, energy efficient ones. Travis came out to look at a clogged pipe that's caused some leaking in our garage. He fixed it during the first visit but we had to call again about a month later because of the same thing. They were prompt in calling me initially and setting up a time that was mutually beneficial. I was able to send them photos and video via text so they were able to know what parts to use in advance. This company rocks! I called to get en estimate of repairs suggested by home inspector. I liked that the person that did the estimate also came to do the repairs.
