Use to be a trustworthy place. When Melissa ran the place she was very honest. Took my car in for ABS light. Service person called me and said brakes were at 2mm and brake fluid was dirty. They thought that was the issue. I told them brakes were done 28K miles ago and fluid was completely flushed. I know this because I changed the pads, rotors and flushed fluid with good quality parts. When I challenged their assessment the manager called back and said the issue was the ABS brake module and not the brakes. Super shady. If I had spend $ on all 4 brakes (pads and rotors) and brake flush and that would have been an expensive fix that wouldn't have fixed the issue. Do yourself a favor and try and find an honest mechanic who is not selling you work you don't need. read more

This is why it's important to work on your own vehicles. I've had good experiences at this business before so I figure it wouldn't be different this time. Wrong! 3 full days to replace oil pump on vehicle, 3500 bucks and they leave oil prints all over the hood and front panels, and worse, scratched up the front bumper badly! If I didn't bring it up they would have let me drive off. The manager said I can take it somewhere to fix it and they would reimburse... so I have to take off work AGAIN and pay for repairs and travel around on my time because they can't take care of customers property!? It's unprofessional to not clean up after your mess, or try and rug sweep damage. read more

That convenient service is a five star review right there. They checked me in and my truck was ready to go within 30 minutes. The employees were friendly and took care of me. Now I can get my vehicle registration window sticker. This was my third time I've had my vehicle inspection performed by AAS and I will keep coming back. We were in search of a new mechanic after our trusted shop closed down. When my husband's car showed a check engine light, I was fearing the worst. It's an older car and if they'd told us it needed thousands of dollars of work, we wouldn't have known otherwise. I researched local automotive shops. I was hoping to find somebody local and hopefully trustworthy. AAS has great reviews, and we decided to give them a shot. They were completely transparent with us. Luckily it was a pretty cheap fix. They also worked with us on another repair that we wanted done. They priced it out, gave us options, and worked within our budget. Both repairs were done quickly. Overall I was satisfied with the work I guess. There was a couple things they could have done better. I took my car in at 7:45 am and was told it would only take 30-45 minutes to diagnose and then another hour and a half to complete the repair but i came back at 330pm and it still was not complete. Which was fine things happen. I would however rather they just called me to tell me what was going on and things were delayed. Secondly, when I came back today to pick up my car I was told yesterday a coupon would be applied and it wasn't. I was disappointed with that too. read more

I brought my car in early this morning due to noticing last week a rodent problem in my garage (found out it's been a problem where I live). I explained the problem to Melissa and what I had seen under the hood and sound my vents were making. Melissa explained that they had found the rat had chewed the cabin air filter and fortunately that was the only issue. They replaced the filter and sanitized the box. Even got my needed oil change squeezed in. Highly recommend this place and like how they take the time to explain things to you on what they find. I was in need of an oil change and state inspection, but had grown unhappy with the quality of service from the new staff at the place I had been going. My daughter had used Austin Automotive for her inspection so I decided to give them a try. The staff was very courteous and friendly and the service was reasonably priced. They let me know my brake fluid would need to be flushed soon due to my mileage as part of regular maintenance. Plus they have a sticker that will get you a $5 discount on your oil change. I asked for one and instead of waiting till next time I came in, they gave me the discount today. I think I've found my new shop in Austin. read more

Most terrible experience ever had at a car place. I drive my car there has not coolant issues. I have to tow my car from there and melissa at front desk tells me no work was done to my car. I get to my car to pick it up the coolant is not filled they fill it i ask mellisa grips saying im not paying for the coolant than the coolant runs out of my car like a waterfall in the front bottom but melissa says no work done to my car my car is different than when i brought it to them broke for sure. Melissa calls people honey sweety darling while ripping off people that was my experience with her. The cops were called on me when i went ballistic after seeing what happened to my car once i was picking it up melissa said no work done to it. Horrible experience with this shop! I got an estimate from another brake shop before coming to BSP. The other shop said I needed roughly $500 worth of work done and tried very hard to convince me how dangerous it was for me to driving on my brakes as worn as they were. I went to BSP for a second opinion. They have good reviews so I went there prepared to wait for several hours and spend somewhere in the vicinity of $500. Less than 45 minutes later they showed me there's nothing wrong with my brakes and sent me on my merry way. I went into the shop convinced that I needed new brakes, and said so at the counter. They had every opportunity to get hundreds of dollars out of me but they took the honest approach instead. I can't comment on the quality of their work but their customer service is top notch. read more
