Steven kindly offered to try an additional product on some of the spots of missing paint which I'll be taking the car back for. Pricing was great and they were FAST; car was in at 7am and done by 2pm (the last time I took my car in for interior detailing at a chain company, they took nearly 3 days!) I was in need ofsome minor body work done in my 2024 Honda Accord hybrid that needed to be done. I just couldn't leave my brand new baby with some unsightly scars and scratches. From the minute I took my car in for an estimate on a Saturday morning, the customer service was empecable. The estimators were not working so the young lady who was there took pictures of the area that needed work and said she would pass the info onto the estimators and someone would be contacting me with an estimate. I am thinking someone will contact me Monday which was no problem. In less than 30 minutes I receive a call from Serge with a complete estimate and letting me know he would be emailing me the estimate he quoted me. I must tell you that the quote was less than I thought it would be. So doing my due diligence I go to a couple more auto body shops to get estimates. Of those two places no one contacted me with an estimate. I guess they didn't need or want my business. I reach out to C&D to discuss getting the work done. In speaking with Serge, we agreed upon when to bring my car in and when to expect to pick it up. I only had to pay a $100 deposit. I dropped my car off at the predetermined time and it was ready when they said it would be!!! Upon discussing the care of a cars paint job with Serge I remembered a few scratches that I had forgotten to get an estimate for when I originally brought the car in for the estimate. Serge took a look at the scratches and said let him see if his team could just buff them out and if not then he would give me an estimate for that work. So I bring the vehicle back the following week to see if they could remove the scratches by buffing them out. And like magic they did and at no cost to me. Now that is what I consider EXCELLENT customer service. Serge provided me with tips to protect my car paint for the life of the car. I am truly grateful to Serge and the team at C & D Auto. I really wanted to have a good experience with Universally Modified…read more I appreciate They are a family run and worked business of brothers and Ryan's wife. But they will not properly torque fasteners. There had been a metallic rattling since the first time I had them install the front sway bar. I drove it that way for six months or so. They always said the reason for the metallic rattling was because of the BMR components I had them install not having the rubber bushings. Then when me and another guy put my 2022 Mach 1 up on a lift and started looking it over and working on it we were disappointed to find Universally Modified destroyed my front sway bar end links due to not torquing down fasteners and using zero thread locker! I asked them multiple times to use the proper thread locker on all the fasteners. So after fixing the sway bar properly, the car is silent now! Um multiple times have not torque down or at least used a thread locker to keep fasteners from totally backing off. Universally Modified also did not tell me about an exhaust leak we found. I have put a lot of thought for weeks into thinking about/processing the information to make sure I am doing the right thing. They also couldn't get my wheel weights to stay on my wheels. But the plus for them is they did suggest a good place to go and have my Wheels properly Road force balanced. Each time something was not done right I tried to be calm and decent about it when I communicated with them. when I told Universally Modified about each issue, they did not apologize and didn't say what can I do to make it right, didn't say it would not happen in the future, nothing. I feel unsafe using Universally Modified due to them, causing my car to lose control on the street or on the track, and kill or enter others and myself! They will not answer or return my phone calls I tried calling multiple times to communicate with universally Modified in order to speak with them and get their side/viewpoint before I posted this.

I brought my 1969 Mustang Mach 1 to UNIVERSALLY MODIFIED in Sterling Virginia. I own several…read moreclassic vehicles; my previous mechanic no longer lives in the area. So I decided to give UNIVERSALLY MODIFIED a chance to service my vehicle and other(s) moving forward if this experience works out. It wasn't long to find that this shop is extremely overrated and overpriced and THEY CAN'T PROVIDE WHAT WAS PROMISSED! My issue on my 1969 Mustang was the vibration and hesitation on acceleration, I was estimated by Troy initially for $4952.62 of recommended services! I was shocked to see them write this estimate, and to SUM it all up, they wanted to put bigger holly carbs, new starter, and tune up the car. Put in mind that it's a pristine 1969 Mustang Mach 1 which is up for sale for $90K, by no means this car needed anything like this kind of service, I explained how we replaced the Harmonic Balancer and that that didn't change vibration and I left the old Balancer in the car for them to see. After we agreed on the services above, I was promised this vibration and hesitation was going to be eliminated. Upon pick up, the Mustang Road like garbage! I immediately contact Troy explain my concerns, after paying him $3486.23. Troy responded by saying "owe yea we put the old Harmonic Balancer back in the car and vibration a lot less now? He also after my distressed concerns, he actually said that the car "might need a new engine because if that the vibration can be something internal" I was outraged to hear any of this after the FACT! "This was NOT told to me prior pick up or paying for this outrageous invoice. I expected him to warrant his repairs and to correct his mistakes. So I left the vehicle with Troy again for the second time on 5/11/2022 at UNIVERSALLY MODIFIED in Sterling, Troy sent me message afterwards to tell me - HIS WORDS! Hey Sean this is Troy, We actually found the issue. After inspecting the flex plate (trans removal wasn't required), we found that the flex plate and harmonic balancer were actually the 28oz imbalance. Since they were indeed matched, we proceeded with removing the oil pan to look at the crankshaft and discovered that the crankshaft was indeed internally balance and shouldn't have those parts on them. We were able to remove the counter balance on the flex plate and we swapped the balancer with an internally balanced unit and the vibration is gone!!! I also have more great news on the engine internals that are definitely going to boost the price/salability! It's a fully forged bottom end, Ford Performance SVO Block and Hydraulic Roller Cam. That's some big money in the Small block ford world. The engine is probably around 15-18k new" - HIS WORDS! Nothing ever mentioned at one time that he was planning on charging you another $1654.10 to replace the Harmonic Balance AGAIN! $1200 of that was labor! It's a external part on the outside of the engine where pulleys are located! This was the final insult for me, He charged $38 for another oil filter, $20-$30 of gaskets for FORD MUSTANG?? Seriously!?? I pay $12 for PORSCHE high end oil filters, how does FORD cost more?? My conclusion is that this shop LOVES to Surcharge ever nickel and dime that they can from there clients! COMPLETE SCAMMERS! Thank you for reading this you have been warned to STAY FAR AWAY FROM UNIVERSALLY MODIFIED in Sterling VA.

1 Star -- Proceed With Extreme Caution…read more I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after my experience with Danny's Auto Service, I feel obligated to share what happened so others can make informed decisions before trusting this shop with their vehicle. I brought my 1999 Infiniti QX4 to Danny's Auto Service because I was experiencing a significant steering issue. After discussing the problem in detail, I was charged approximately $2,700.00 for repairs and left believing the issues had been properly addressed. Unfortunately, within a relatively short period of time, I began noticing similar steering problems again. Because I was not driving long distances regularly, I did not immediately realize how serious the issue was, but over the last few months the steering problem became impossible to ignore. I recently had the vehicle inspected by another mechanic whose work I trust, and what I learned was extremely disturbing. According to this mechanic, material appearing to be pieces of an old automotive belt had been placed where proper bushings should have been installed, apparently as a substitute instead of replacing the worn bushings correctly. In addition to that, I also learned that the driver-side CV boot, which I understood was supposed to have been repaired as part of the work I paid for, had apparently never been repaired at all. So to summarize: I paid nearly $2,700.00 for repairs. The original steering issue returned. A second mechanic found what appears to be an improper substitute used in place of legitimate suspension components. A repair I believed had been completed apparently was never completed. To support what I am stating here, I have attached photos showing the condition of the work that was discovered during the follow-up inspection. What makes this even more frustrating is that I had previously brought the vehicle back because the steering issue had not been fully resolved, yet none of this was disclosed to me. When customers bring their vehicle in for service, they are placing trust in that business not only with their money, but with their safety. Based on what I have now learned, I am left seriously questioning both the quality of the repairs performed and the integrity of the work done on my vehicle. I strongly encourage anyone considering this business to request documentation for every repair performed and seek a second opinion if something does not feel right. After this experience, I would never return.......ever!
