Just had our new microwave installed today, and we're so impressed with the whole process. Our over the range m/w was on it's last legs so I was doing some research on what to buy next and where to go. If you're thinking the big box stores have the best prices - think again. We were very happy to see that all the prices we looked at were better than big-box. Not so for other local places. There were plenty of models to look at and compare. We had to put ours on order, but the oven arrived sooner than quoted, and delivery was scheduled quickly. The delivery was great - arrived on time, super clean and covid safe, very personable guys worked well together even with some unexpected cabinet issues. They did a great job and cleaned up taking all the packaging, and the old oven. AND - when we ordered the oven in the store, they sent us home with a LOANER :-) :-) A leftover life saver for sure!! read more

Second time I needed help and they were there! Did a telephone diagnosis and they ordered the part for a really old Maytag, Showed up in 2 days and fixed it like a new machine! Very reasonable and fair pricing and excellent work. read more

If you have read some of my other reviews, you know that I try to shop at the local shops and restaurants as much as possible. (I wish everyone else did too.) I went there recently to get a belt for a Maytag gas dryer. Bob & Jim were very knowledgeable. They got me the correct part without a model number of the dryer. The belt solved part of my problem, but the burner wouldn't stay lit. So, I called and talked to Jim, and he suggested new coils. He also educated me as to where I could find the model number of the dryer. I went over there, bought the coils, then went home and installed them. As I fired it up, with the front of the dryer off, it still wouldn't stay lit. Okay, I give up. I called them for a service call. Bob showed up in what seemed like minutes. He tried it and it wouldn't stay lit for him either. He then further educated me that there is an air pattern that needs to be uninterrupted for the dryer to work correctly. Having the front of the dryer off, interrupted it. So, he put the front back on, and it worked fine. He said that I probably fixed it when I replaced the coils. All I had to do was put the front back on. Well, we learn something new every day. Thank you to Jim, Bob & Joanne. read more

I called Automatic Appliance to describe the problem I was having with my refrigerator. I was given some instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem myself and the advice I was given worked. My refrigerator now works fine. The repair person on the phone also said that he wouldn't advise putting money into an 11 yr. old refrigerator, per consumer reports. I so appreciate that he didn't automatically just set up a visit to come out and do the work themselves. I will definitely call Automatic Appliance in the future. read more

Wonderful family owned business. They came highly recommended by my church congregation and I wasn't disappointed. They coordinated purchase and installation of new double wall ovens in a cabinet which required rebuilding. They organized delivery of the appliances before the work on the cabinet was even started to take advantage of a time sensitive discount and rebate, saving me hundreds of dollars. Father and son-in-law arrived on time to install and worked together seamlessly to install perfectly. I could not be happier with the help provided choosing the right appliances and their consideration and assistance during delivery and installation. Would use them again without question! read more

It's been such a pleasure working with the good folks at Automatic Appliance! First of all, they look out for their customers, making sure you are spending only what you're comfortable with doing. They are a zero pressure store because they want to earn your trust. Jim was happy to troubleshoot with me over the phone before sending over a tech, saving at least $100. When we determined the best solution was to replace our decade old washing machine, the best shock came at that moment: not only was the cost of the appliance and installation was less than their competitors (including the big box stores), but they were able to install next business day, whereas the other guys requested we wait 5 days or more for delivery! They're the most trusted appliance service in Framingham for the last 30 years, for good reason. They deserve every distinction and accolade they receive, and I could not recommend them enough! read more

I am so impressed with Automatic Appliance, I want the world to know how good they are! I needed a new washer and dryer and had read Consumer Reports but was very confused by what I read. So I stopped by Automatic Appliance. I appreciate small family run businesses. I had been to Sears already and worked with a very nice sales person but came away more confused than ever. Joanne, the owner, spent quite a bit of time with me showing me a variety of models and washer types. She was professional, informative and patient. (And funny!) She had lots of information she could share with me. They only sell models and brands that they recommend and you can see them in the store. That inspired my confidence. We also looked at her IPad for detailed information as we perused different ideas, questions, and concerns. She gave me all of her time and I came away knowing very clearly how to make my decision. I was very pleased that they match prices with their competitors. In fact, I would understand if they didn't do that because they give you so much personal service. But they do! My washer and dryer were delivered by Jim, the owner and his assistant and I couldn't have been more pleased at the attention to detail they gave to the job. They were right on time. They taught us about safety and efficiency at the installation and I was grateful for that. They improved the position of the dryer vent from what it had been and explained why. I am extremely satisfied with every aspect of Automatic Appliance's customer service. And I did not have to sacrifice pricing to get that. Why wouldn't everyone go there? read more

Recently bought a washing machine from this store. I live in an old 2 story house with narrow stairs. The delivery people were polite and professional and didn't complain about what I know is a difficult set up. Everything was set up to perfection. Saleswoman in the store (sorry I forgot your name) was professional and knowledgeable. First time I bought an appliance from a photo but I have to admit it's the best one I have owned. I would highly recommend this store to anyone needing to purchase an appliance. read more

Automatic Appliance Service has amazing customer service. I called with a question about my Insinkerator garbage disposer. Kyle helped me troubleshoot right over the phone. They could have easily sent out a technician and charged me a service fee to jiggle the one part of the unit that wasn't connected properly. Automatic Appliance was my fourth call in my attempt to fix my problem. The next time they will be my first call! read more

After reading all the outstanding reviews in yelp! I figured this is the kind of people I want to do businnes with. Called today to see if they had the parts I need available and after giving them the first part number they asked what brand refrigerator was the part for and then told me " we dont sell parts for that brand..." and that was the end of the conversation.Never mind that the same part is used by al least five differe nt manufacturers. Absolutely rude and unprofessional. Completely dissapointed. read more

Washing machine needed a new door switch. Called Jim and he said he would order the part. He called back and said the switch came with the wiring harness and woudl be around $250 to replace. The machine is over 11 yrs old so decided to replace. Quick check at Best Buy and then down to see Jim. He had the updated model of our old machine at a better price than BB, and he is a real nice guy to deal with. New machine is coming tomorrow, couldn't be happier with the service. About 2 months ago, we decided to get a larger refrigerator, so my wife started her research. A little background: my wife researches EVERYTHING for many hours over weeks and months --- paint colors, TVs, furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc --- to a point where she will know more than just about anyone about the product. It is just her nature. Always has been, always will be. So when she goes to a store, she already knows pretty much what she wants, and what price she wants it for. And what what often makes her decide what to buy are the features and very small details that most sales people would never possibly know. So just about the time she was ready to start going to stores with her printouts, photos, etc, a family member told us about Automatic Appliance in Framingham, and the wonderful experience she had with the wide selection, husband/wife owners, delivery, and set up. So my wife went and spoke with a sales person who, I never thought I would ever say this, blew my wife away with her knowledge and over the top helpfulness. My wife also met Joanne (owner wife) who was a joy to work with and also incredibly knowledgeable. So my wife ordered the refrigerator (the price was excellent, less than big box stores) and set up a delivery date and time. Jim (owner husband) and a helper were there 5 minutes earlier than planned (who does that anymore?), put down cardboard and pads to protect our floors, took out our old refrigerator, brought in the new one, unwrapped it, set it up. and cleaned up beautifully. Jim then clearly and expertly explained all the features (a lot has changed since we bought our last refrigerator 22 years ago!!). The entire delivery/takeout process took maybe 45 minutes. This spring, my wife and I will be redoing our kitchen and will be buying a dishwasher and over-the-stove microwave, and perhaps a stove as well. There is no question as to where we will purchase the appliances. Jim and Joanne are wonderful people who provide customer service that truly is unparalleled. We needed a new stove and range hood. Had done some research regarding brands and specific models before visiting local stores. So refreshing to find Automatic Appliance staff highly knowledgeable about comparison features. Every feature. Huge time saver for shopper with limited time. At time of delivery, Jim went above and beyond, since our stove placement meant one side exposed... and so a cosmetic sheet of metal. He could easily have said "good luck with that, folks." Come time for a new dishwasher, same excellent product/service experience. They really know their inventory. Which seems to be items already well regarded in consumer guides.
