Went in to purchase a used car on a Thursday and asked if it had been inspected and the guy helping me said yes and you could take it home today... and he forgot to mention the car wasn't even at the location I was at like it was advertised... and after that they low balled me for my trade in... then after that he went and ran so numbers and wasted an hour of my time cause it was all incorrect and I guess he just mis understood me... after that I leave walk to my car then I hear someone yelling "hey, hey" just as I'm about to get in to my car a manage started haggling me and I told him everything that happened... next day me and a buddy go to the same location and they told me they'd have the car delivered for me to look at and test drive around noon... 5pm roles around and I call the guy and ask what's the word and he said he can't get the car and someone else is test driving it at the other location and he offered to take us to where it was at and we sat there for hours waiting to see if this other guy was gonna buy it and I was told I could test drive it if he didn't buy it... 8pm now me and my buddy couldn't even test drive it cause it hadn't even been inspected yet... they me it'll be ready for a test drive on Monday.... Dude picks up the car after he said it had gotten all the work done from inspection at the other location and on his way back he said the gas gauge was broken and that the location he picked it up from didn't do any of the work... he says he'll give me a call when it's all ready... Friday the next week I was able to go in and drive it and the detailers dumped a bucket of armor all over the engine bay causing really bad belt squealing...this next thing is the part that cause me to make this whole review... I just found out that if the finance guy ties product to interest (ex: he offered lower interest and payment if I bought the add on packages like maintenance for a year and stuff like that) which he did do and it's illegal I didn't know about it till now but I'd avoid this place like the plague.... I'll preface this by saying the metal key separated from the fob shortly before my appointment. I brought my car in for an oil change on 1/30/22. After taking about 3 hours to change the oil, I got my key fob and went to start my car only to find the metal part was missing. I went back to the service department and told Mr Roberts that my key did not appear to be in my car. He goes out to my car and tries to tell me that it's stuck in the ignition and I said I don't think so but okay. He then proceeds to jam a knife and a screwdriver and God knows what else into my ignition to retrieve this part of a key that doesn't even go in far enough to get stuck, before finding out the part of my key needed to start the car was actually dropped inside the service bays by a technician. Now my ignition sensor is damaged and thinks there is a key in the ignition at all times.This has also rendered my key fobs useless. Their service manager damaged my ignition, which also devalues my vehicle. The dealership needs to take responsibility for their service manager damaging my vehicle and make this right. Purchase two pre owned cars from Johnny the beginning of a July at this location. I got a decent deal and the sales process went well. It was when we worked with the Finance Manager Chase that the horrible service began. After signing we were told that paperwork would be emailed. Nothing showed up. It took two calls and finally another finance person assisted up. After our first registration expired without getting our plates we were given a 30 day temp registration. At the 20 day / Mid Sept mark I checked the vehicle via the DMV website and it had not even been registered under my name yet. I sent two emails and made two phone calls and Chance did not have the decency of a reply. I finally was able to get a hold of Chance through Johnny and and the car registration was just processed in October. When asked why he didn't notify me, he mentioned that he forgot to hit send on the email. Don't believe them when they say they are the best because they have the power of Autonation behind them. This review is really just mine and my husband's way of bragging about our wonderful salesman, Thomas Gifford. I had contacted the dealership about an online listing for a Durango that we were interested in yesterday morning. While that car wasn't available anymore, Thomas was dedicated in finding me a great fit for my needs. Within minutes of talking to him, I was being emailed multiple listings of vehicles that were not only what I needed size wise, but price wise as well. Thomas had the SUV we agreed on brought to this location, and set up a time that worked with my hectic schedule to take a look at it - all on the same day! He even gave us the option to do our credit check online before going in to save us time. The dealership closes at 9pm and we showed up around 7pm and Thomas was there waiting for us with my car-to-be pulled up front. We took it for our test drive and he was very polite and talked with us the entire time and unlike our other test drives, this one wasn't an awkward silence the entire time. When we were done he had all of our paperwork ready to go and the price we were looking for. He stayed with us until everything was said and done - which was around 11:15pm, and explained every detail of my new car to me. Thomas is an incredible salesman and put every one of my needs first and found me an incredible car that will suit my family's needs for years to come. The sales and finance folks are fine, but the service department is, in a word - atrocious. Bought a used vehicle - the sales part was fine. However, the vehicle I bought had a few issues that needed to be resolved. Enter Roberto Dionisi - the absolute *worst* service adviser I've ever dealt with in all my years buying cars. First, getting Roberto on the phone is next to impossible. He gave me zero updates - I had to always call to find out what was going on (at one point, they had my vehicle for a full week with no status updates to me). I left messages multiple times only to never receive a call back. In some cases, I had to reach out to the sales guys to go physically track him down and have them ask him to call me back. Still didn't hear back from Roberto. Another dealer my wife and I deal with in the area gives proactive status updates to us, even keeping in contact frequently by text. I guess AutoNation Chevy Mesa is still using the 1997 customer service playbook. If I did happen to get Roberto on the phone, his comments back to me dripped with sarcasm and contempt. He made it very clear how annoyed he was that I was inquiring about my repairs - I mean, how dare a customer call and ask for a status update, right?! The impression I got was his attitude is "it'll be done when it's done and shut up until then," - definitely *not* the way a customer should be treated. And then when I asked about why the repairs were taking so long, he complained to me about how difficult it is to get parts, even for a brand new Chevy, and how the manufacturer was screwed up. Dude, that may be true, but why try to justify the delays of your service department by disparaging your own brand? All in all - Roberto has no business being in a customer-facing position, and based solely on my experiences with him, I can't at all recommend anyone do business with AutoNation Chevy Mesa. If you do decide to roll the dice and buy from them, I highly recommend you get your service work done elsewhere. Otherwise prepare for disappointment, or worse. read more

I purchased my new vehicle (over $75K) on 31 March 2023 from AutoNation Chevrolet Mesa which was a horrible experience in itself (wrote a separate review). Fast forward a week or so later, I started hearing a knocking sound from the rear suspension of my truck. The sound was loud and appeared while driving over uneven surfaces or at low speeds. I contacted AutoNation Chevrolet Mesa to express my concern and scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle checked. I was assigned Brooklyn as my service advisor and explained the issues to her on the day of the appointment. The vehicle wasn't able to be serviced same day so I left it with the dealership and was told I should hear something back within 48 hours. 48 hours came and went with no call. I contacted the service department and spoke with Brooklyn Dubuc and she informed me that she was "still waiting to hear back from GM with a solution". She again affirmed that she would contact me by the end of the day with a progress update. You guess it! That call never came. I eventually received communication from Brooklyn stating that there is a no fix order for my issue and I would have to continue driving my vehicle while it made the obnoxious knocking noise. I was agitated as I could not experience the joys of owning a brand new vehicle. Feeling option less, I continued driving the vehicle for 3 more months until I decided that this is unacceptable. I contacted another Chevrolet dealership and scheduled an appointment. I dropped my vehicle off and received a call within a day and a half explaining they identified the issue and the vehicle will be repaired under warranty. My truck was repaired and returned to me within 3 days and there's no more knocking noise. I can finally be a proud Chevrolet owner and then I realized how AutoNation Chevrolet Mesa LIED and forced me to drive my truck in its condition. I am absolutely displeased with Brooklyn Dubuc and the dealership she represents. I have had issues with this dealership from the start of our relationship until today. I don't understand the need to LIE to me and refusing to repair my vehicle. I can't understand how they're in business if this is how customers are treated, and if this is not their standard of treatment, why was I selected for disrespect and lies? Zero rating is more appropriate for this dealership!!! Taking advantage of a 92 years old !!! a 92 year old man went in to buy a car without me. I'm his POA. The reason I wasn't there because I was out of town. He went and traded in his 2021 Toyota only 15 thousand miles in perfect conditioned. They gave him 16 k for it. I haven't looked up on KBB.com but I'm sure it's worth way more than that. He drove home 2023 Chevrolet blazer bought at sticker price with all the protections added on came out to be 11k . Why would a 92 years old needed all that? He drove it for a week 6 days to be exact. He took it back traded in for another 2023 cost more than the first also sticker price with more upgrades . Now this is where it gets me!!!! Instead of just letting him pay the difference they sticked it to him again with all the protections he doesn't need . This time $7550.25 not $11,000. I went in 3 times 2 days with Ted finally the GM had time for us on the second day. Ted introduced me to the GM as his PlOA, guess what ?? he totally ignored me didn't even acknowledge me. Every time I tried to say something he brushed me off. He said he only speaking to Ted because he the one who signed the contract. All I'm asking him was to make it right for this 92 years old man, probably only have few years left of his life. Don't they make enough from others why do they need to do that to a helpless 92 years old man. That is why he has me as his POA to protect him in situation like this but the GM ignored me like I'm not even there. He was the rudest GM I have ever met in my whole entire 60 years. I was so distraught didn't even care to know his name but I will get it and post it on here. He didn't even introduced himself that is why I didn't get his name. Just bought a car here today. It was a very straight forward process as I knew what I wanted, called and found they had what I wanted in stock, negotiated via email and phone, agreed to a deal, and made an appointment for the next morning with our sales guy to buy it. Minus two stars for their management as it was obvious they didn't allow for any pre-purchase preparation before we showed up. Even though we had an appointment to purchase the car, the process was no different than if we walked in off the street. I had completed an on line application for financing (we paid 50% and financed 50%) and the manager wanted me to fill out another application "in ink". I flat out refused. They had the info from my online application which was printed and I signed. He made some BS comment about some third party wanting it that way. In short, what I expected, based on the pre-appointment process, was to walk in, sign some documents, get handed the keys, and be on our way - 20 minutes top. It ended up being 1.75 hours of wandering the showroom aimlessly wondering why it was taking so long. I felt sorry for our sales guy as he was doing his best given the hoops his management was making him, and I, jump through. They keep sending offers wanting full MSRP for vehicles with over 100k miles on them. And quite a few that are way over the full price of brand new trucks. While other Chevy dealers are selling brand new trucks for 30k at 4.5% AutoNation wants more than that for trucks with 125k miles and more. It a big pass for me and it should be for you too. I highly do not recommend buying a car from them. I would not trust anybody at that company. They make promises and do not fulfill them. They add line items to your purchase agreement and do not fulfill them. And don't tell you about the addition. And honestly, they don't seem to care. They seem to think that not fulfilling the contract is OK. The sales manager, Judith, said " I don't think we did anything wrong." And then, when I asked to speak to my sales person, they're like oh, we can't find any record of the sales person's name on your paperwork, it is blank. Really? So I had to pull out the paperwork myself and got everyone's names. They charge me $599 for window tint that was never completed on my car nor offered to be done. And they admit to not doing it. And then they hold it over my head saying well you can have your window tint refund (which is a year later btw) or the oil change. Not giving me both as promised. They thought because the truck had privacy glass on it, I would not notice it was not window tinted. I had to take my car to a professional tint place where I found out there is no tint installed. I ended up paying $900 to have it done on top of the $599 I'm already out. I will be proceeding with further action against this company. This is fraud. It's a signed contract that was not upheld and because they are a big company, they think they can get away with it. I care more about being taken advantage of, and not having the promises fulfilled than I do about the money. I wonder how many other customers this has happened to. I can guarantee I am not the only one. I'll be filing a formal complaint. I would highly recommend anybody else that purchased vehicles from this company in the past to double check their paperwork. "Consumer fraud, as defined by Arizona law, is any deception, unfair act or practice, false statement, false pretense, false promise or misrepresentation made by a seller or advertiser of merchandise." I'd say it's pretty clear that they made false statements and promises. I'm glad I have proof of this negligence. Do not buy a car from them unless you want to be taken advantage of. Oh, and to top it off I just got a call from Juan their general manager calling me to say this comment is slander and now my money will take longer due to my comment even though I told him I was posting a review before hand, and he said go for it. Now he wants to hold my money. It was 1 to 2 weeks, now 3 to 4 weeks after posting. So nice of them! I gave him fair warning I was posting negative comments because nobody wanted to address how I felt or listen to me. Juan didn't want to take three minutes to listen to me. We found out almost 2 weeks after we took our Evian to be serviced when we called them they assured us that we could get an appointment and get him within a day. The car was not actually put in the shop till almost a week and a half later, oh we have gotten his excuse after excuse none of which is our concern. I brought truck in for a extended warranty repair. They did do that repair. A week later engine light comes on. I brought my truck back in to have service look at it again and it took them about week to tell me I had to replace my DPF. They wanted to charge me $3600 for a new one. I did not have them do the repair. I took my truck to a diesel shop and it cost me $120 to fix my exhaust issue. Service department is terrible at AutoNation. I would not trust them at all. Something that was so simple to fix is ridiculous how much they wanted to charge me. read more

Run! Do not use Autonation Mesa! Wish there was a 0 stars! Our experience was so bad, and is still going on 5 months after our purchase. My wife went and test drove cars, came home and we went later on to purchase our vehicle of choice, to find out that it wasn't there...One of the salesmen had run to Glendale to pick up another. So, we waited for him to return. It took nearly 5 hours...5 to complete the transaction. We didn't even need to test drive and it still took that long! We had 2 salesmen battling out how their commission would be split and said that out loud to us. We since moved our financing to our bank because of the fiasco at the dealership...and we didn't trust them. We had purchased the extended warranty which were told would be reimbursed for from the dealership as the financing is not with them. Here we are 5 months later, still waiting for our reimbursement check for the extended warranty...which by the way is still 7 WEEKS out! When pressed, they said that those types of requests come from their headquarters and not their individual store....what, what? They are more than willing to take your money there, so why in the world can't they return money there is beyond me! Trying to get the anyone on the phone is nearly impossible...unless you want sales, then they are right on top of it! I sat on the phone last week for 2 hours trying to get someone to pick up the phone...it finally hung up on me. Traded in a vehicle on 4/16/22 - it STILL has not been paid off over 34 days later. Payment was sent to the wrong location initially and was supposedly reissued and overnighted to the correct institution but that was 5 days ago and I still have no confirmation. Cannot get anyone to call me back or provide a tracking number on the payment. Called finance - no response. Called sales - no response. Chatted online - was told they were closed for the day and no director could call me back. Field a BBB complaint as a last resort. 5 days later, finally got a call back from Jared in Internet Sales who said there is absolutely nothing he can do, no call he can make - it just has to wait oh and the payment STILL has not been sent even though Vince in Finance told us on Monday it was issued and overnighted. I saw a car advertised online. I wrote in using the online messaging system from the website I found them on. Omar answered within 24 hours. Then Shane (claims to be GM) also sent an email shortly after introducing himself. I asked Omar if the car I wanted was still available. He emailed back saying yes. I wasn't able to go that day, so I texted Omar asking if I could still go and see it. He texted back that he was off, so I needed to call in. I called in and spoke to Richard and he said to come on over to see it. I explained I would be making a long drive and rushing after work, so I needed to make sure I could still see it even if I barely made it before closing. After driving from Grand Ave & Northern Ave, I arrived only to be told that the keys nor the vehicle could not be found. I was not interested in any other vehicle, and I was super upset about the bait and switch. I emailed Shane the next day in detail about my experience and got a canned email response of "thank you for visiting Autonation, blah blah blah. We hope you come back and see us soon" type thing. Yeah, very attentive staff and great customer service, apparently. Thats sarcasm for those of you who cannot sense my tone through Yelp. So...umm... yeah...never again...never recommended. read more

I made a deal over the telephone for a new truck. I drove over 125 miles to pick the truck up, and when I got there they started adding charges that were not part of the deal that I negotiated over the telephone. Furthermore the salesman told me that the truck had a tow package, and it had a hitch but it did not have the trailer brakes that were supposed to come with the vehicle as part of the tow package. I had asked about that specifically. In summary, overall this was a terrible experience in a complete waste of my time, gas, and wear and tear on my trade-in. There is something wrong with a Chevrolet dealer who would have a customer drive 125 miles one way to pick up a car and then try and add cost to the deal that were not included in what was promised over the telephone. I am from out of town and was desperate to get my AC fixed. I had been told by another dealer locally that it would be 2-3 days before they could even look at it. I called AutoNation and once arrived, I had the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. Fernando welcomed me so kindly. Offered me water. Johnny was my service guy and more than I could have asked for. Got my car checked out within hours and had a diagnosis and fix for the car. While my vehicle isn't that old, it still wasn't under warranty. GMC couldn't help with any cost of the faulty part but Autonation as a company, did. I was blown away with that as I was not expecting it at all. This dealership went above and beyond and treated me fairly and respectfully. Johnny even called within the next few days to see how my car was doing after the fix. Definitely will be back and will be recommending to everyone! read more

These guys were great! We just bought a used car from there and and it was a fantastic experience. We spoke with Justin and made an appoint to test drive a used car we found through their website. I've never had a good experience with a car salesman. They generally fit the stereotype and are pushy and will tell you whatever it is they think you need to hear in order to purchase the car. This wasn't the case at this place. Working with Justin was a dream! He was kind, not pushy, very knowledgeable and helpful and ready to get us sent out in our car as quickly and smoothly as possible. I brought my vehicle in for a lifter issue that was covered under my warranty and they still tried to charge 3500$ extra and did the work without my approval so when I refused to pay that price and wanted to bring it somewhere else due to the lack of communication and poor customer service they lowered the price cause the work was already done. They had it for 3 weeks and I get it back the button on my dash is broken and my back windshield wiper is stuck to the other side. I scheduled to bring it back and I was first told it would be done that day I would also have a shuttle home I get there and was told it will be 4 days before it will be worked on and no shuttle home.
