I took my Infiniti to AutoNation Infiniti in Tustin because they were advertising a special on oil changes. Prior to this visit, my vehicle was running well and was simply due for routine maintenance. Shortly after the oil change, I began hearing a very faint knocking sound that had never been there before. I parked the vehicle at a friend's house, and the next day, when I started it to drive home, the knocking had become more noticeable. I even texted my friend about it and recorded the sound because it concerned me. Since I only lived about five miles away, I drove it home and parked it, hoping it was nothing serious. Two days later, when I went to move the vehicle again, the knocking had become significantly louder, and the engine made a startling screeching noise. I immediately called the dealership. While speaking with them, I reviewed my invoice and noticed it listed 0W-5 oil, even though my Infiniti requires a different oil viscosity. My vehicle is sensitive to the correct oil specification, so this immediately raised concerns. The dealership later told me the invoice was incorrect and that they had actually used the proper oil. Because the knocking began immediately after the oil change, I asked that a master technician inspect the vehicle. Before the oil change, the car was not making any unusual noises and had just passed the dealership's inspection. The only issues they identified at that time were relatively minor maintenance items, such as an axle boot. The dealership kept my vehicle for nearly a month before finally telling me the problem was carbon buildup in one of the cylinders. Their recommendation was that the repair would be very expensive and that I should simply drive the car until it failed. What concerns me most is what happened after I got the vehicle back. Before bringing it in, I had no check engine light and no diagnostic trouble codes. After the dealership returned my vehicle, multiple engine codes appeared, including misfire codes involving different cylinders than the one they had identified. My car went from having no engine codes during its inspection to having multiple codes after it left their shop. As a result, my vehicle can no longer pass a smog inspection. Because it cannot pass smog, I have been unable to renew the registration, and it has been sitting unused in my parking space ever since. I cannot say with certainty what caused the engine problem. However, I can say that my vehicle was running normally before the oil change, the knocking noise began immediately afterward, and I was left with a vehicle that is now undrivable for registration purposes and far worse off than when I brought it in. The lack of clear answers after nearly a month, combined with the conflicting information I received, left me with very little confidence in the diagnosis or the service I received. I do not recommend this dealership for service and if you still choose to use them, I encourage anyone to carefully document their vehicle's condition before service and ask detailed questions if anything changes afterward. read more

I originally left a 5-star review because the sales staff asked me to write it while I was still sitting in the salesperson's office before I even drove the car home. Unfortunately, my experience after the sale has been completely different, so I'm updating my review. We were told the vehicle had an open recall, but it was presented as a preventative issue. As soon as we drove the car home, we discovered there was a steering problem that was directly related to that recall. On the very first day of ownership, I had to take the vehicle to another dealership for the recall repair, leaving us without the car for an entire day. After that, we discovered the vehicle had been sold to us with an unrepaired rock chip in the windshield. It quickly spread into large cracks across both sides of the windshield. We immediately contacted the dealership and were assured they would take care of it. Since then, we have gone to the dealership multiple times, spoken with two different managers, and each time have been told they would handle the situation and call us back. They never do. Every time we return, it feels like we're starting over because no one seems to know anything about the previous conversations. Instead, we're told to file a claim through our own windshield coverage, even though the damaged windshield existed when the vehicle was sold to us. Problems can happen with used cars, and I understand that. What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of follow-through after the sale. We've spent countless hours making phone calls and driving back to the dealership, only to receive promises that are never kept. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. I wish the level of customer service after the sale had matched the enthusiasm they showed when asking me to leave a positive review before I even left the lot. read more

The waiting time is not as bad and they have coffee and snacks but the service, location and people are just so awesome . They don't rush you on making purchases if you cannot but they suggests preventions and for how long if any replacements needed... Thank Joel keep up the great work you do! They have a comfortable waiting area with plenty of space to work, complimentary drinks, and a few snacks, which made the wait really pleasant. What I appreciated most was how honest and low-pressure the service department was. They took care of what my car actually needed without trying to upsell me on unnecessary services, which is becoming harder to find these days. Extremely frustrating. Last month for 2 days I talked with their service departments several times trying to get an estimate for insurance purpose to then proceed for repair. They were claiming that they have sent me email and called me twice. They are lying through their teeth. They didn't care at all. I switched to another dealership and they took care of everything in 60 minutes sending me a quote for insurance and afterward their service for repair was exceptional and extraordinary good. They are HORRIBLE!!!! Don't waste your money, they overcharge for terrible service. Paid 4,500 to put in a new gas gage and it never worked! They said it has one year warranty and I took it in, they said it's fine, even thou it never worked. Always looked full. I have been stuck with a broken gas gage and now I failed my smog test because of it. All the mom and pop places that are helping me said "infinity ripped you off" how can they charge that much to not get the job done? I've called the office and emailed to speak to a manager and no one responds! Poor job and they will soon close down as no one will go to them! read more
