Brought my car battery here to get recharged as I bought it here. The battery was still good because it has been less than 2 years since I bought it. Only thing was it went low due to lights being left on. They gave me the excuse of the battery being no good and tried to convince me into buying a new one from them. I declined and took it to another place where they told me the battery was fine, they charged it and it worked perfectly fine. Poor customer service. Please check your merchandise before purchasing, as they sold me a used wiper blade. Upon discovering this, I called to see if it was possible to exchange without a receipt, as I was coming straight from work, and was told they would. Upon arriving, someone above the position of the person I spoke to on the phone insisted on a receipt, because "they don't know if it was used", which I'm not sure how a receipt would prove that, only that I purchased it there. Most horrific experience! On a road trip, our check engine light turns on. No problem, right? The first thing that pops into mind are the endless advertisements for check engine light diagnosis from auto zone. Good advertising is about the only thing these people do right. In a panic, we go in and ask for assistance. The two women behind the counter were busy in conversation and ignoring the fact that THREE people were in line. When she finally decides to help, she hands me a device tells me to plug it under my steering wheel and wait until it says done. Ummmmm ok? I've never done this before, can you walk away from your employee chit chat to come and help? When I finally got the information she plugs it into the computer and shows me the error code. Again, ummmmm ok? What does that MEAN?! So she calls a guy over to help explain, but in the midst of this he ignored us to have a conversation with another employee. THERES NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE. And he makes us wait because of his private conversation? He tells us it's a throttle issue and we should probably get it checked out when we get back home (6hour drive away). Reluctantly and feeling like we didn't get the correct information, we left feeling deflated and afraid to embark on our journey without a fix... Luckily, there's an O'Reilly next door and we decided to go get a second opinion. Needless to say, O'Reilly customer service blew them out of the water! They came to our car and plugged in the device for us, and showed us the correct part for purchase. PLEASE do yourself a favor and do NOT visit AutoZone. Thank you to Jose G. at this location! Right before I was supposed to make the 4 hour drive back home, one of my headlights went out. I didn't know if it was because of a loose wire I have or if it was because the bulb actually blew out.The first worker that came out to my car wasn't very helpful but then Jose came out, took out the bulb and said it had blown out, I purchased a new one and he helped me install it. Came into this location to buy some headlights for my car... I asked an employee to help me out to make sure I got the right ones to avoid coming back into the store ... the lights that he gave me were the wrong ones so I came back and Tried returning the lights, when I first bought the lights the employee did not give me my receipt .....an employee at another location was very nice and had told me that in order to get my refund I had to return to the location where I bought the lights and that they could get me my receipt... that it wasn't hard... so I return to the location I bought the lights from and I talked to Edgar M one of the employees there to give me a refund on the item that wasn't even opened yet and he refused to... so we asked to please get a receipt that they hadn't given us when we first bought the item....he said he couldn't do that and started getting mad...all he wanted to do was give me store credit and didn't want to do the process of getting the receipt... I mentioned to him what someone else had told me at a different location about getting my receipt and so he asked his coworker to find it cause he didn't want to do it... he then asked what date and time the purchase was made.. he then pretended to look but said "we can't find it.... we can't find it" I don't understand why he "couldn't find it" when I payed with my credit card, gave him the exact time and date when I made the purchase..... thankfully a different store was able to help me get my money back with no excuses.... I placed an order online and payed with PayPal. In the online directions it states that if I payed with PayPal to bring my ID and email confirmation only since I obviously don't have a card because it's paypal. I placed the order under my moms name online and payed with her PayPal since I currently don't own a debit card and I didn't want to drive to the bank to take out cash and go to the store and pick out the items, I proceeded with this method. My mom goes to the store with her ID and the email confirmation. They deny the items stating that they need to see a card. But we payed with PayPal Online!!! We don't own a card and we don't want a card!! Why do you think I payed with PayPal!? I called the store and Mark the manager which refused to provide his last name said "why what's up?" Really? Is that the store manager? I couldn't believe it. I requested the district managers phone number and he answered with hello. It made me feel skeptical this this was really the district manager. But I went on and told him what happened and he said that the employees were right that I need a card from PayPal. I don't know who is responsible for communicating policies and procedures to your team members, because I have the email which clearly states I do not need a card if I payed with PayPal. This really upset me because I clearly read the instructions before placing any orders since my plan was to make an efficient and prompt purchase. I cancelled my order and decided to take my business elsewhere. I called (800) 288-6966 and spoke to Marcos he politely looked up policies and procedures and reassured me that what they did at the store was incorrect. Terrible Customer Service, I went inside to purchase stuff for my oil change, when i was ready to pay for my product I pulled out my Auto Zone card to use my points and save me some money, for some reason it was not activated so I couldn't use my points on my new card and the original card that had the points had my wife's name on it she was the main person on the card (which she got the card for me) I couldn't use my points until I call my wife for authorization. I could believe it, it felt like I was a little boy getting permission for my mommy to use the card, so she had to call the main headquarters and when she called them to explain my situation they said for my wife that it's okay I can use my point and roll them over my new card so, my wife calls me back and said I can use the card now and my points to save me some money, so long story short it still didn't allow me to use my points, and the person working there was not very helpful, I bought $80 worth of product and having to call the headquarters again and explain my situation and frustrated I took my business next door to you competitors Reily's Auto Parts and opened a new account. read more

Where do I start ? I had a problem with my car's battery and needed to replace it , I went to this auto zone near my house for a new one yesterday . As I entered I was pretty much given the cold shoulder Im not sure if It was because Im a women ? So as I purchased my battery I was asked if I had my battery , I told the guy I needed assistant removing the battery , I had just had AAA charge my battery and my battery wouldn't turn on so how was I to take it out? Well this guy tells me that he couldn't because he was alone with another guy , OK that's where it all start . I told him my car wasn't going to start and I needed the battery ? He then went to the back with a bothered face as if he didn't want to be there and came back with some type of Kit and told me he would change the battery only if I purchase the Kit . Is this guy serious thinks I'm going to buy some kit ? I called my brother instead . Shows how much they care about customer its not like I was rude about it , I asked him with respect and was ignored. After I took the battery out I took it inside to give them the battery I decided to ask the other guy not sure what his name was it seem it said Bernardino not sure but he was nice and helped me get some other stuff .Point is Im outside ready to leave and I see them helping another man with his battery !!!! Im upset that I was looked down on , you don't make clients feel less .
