I called looking for an alternator plug for my 1990 Toyota GTS Sport. They didn't have one, but…read moretold me I could have his own test plug, or he could have a new one by 10:00 AM the next day. I went to pick it up and he was very knowledgeable and freely told me exactly what to look for and how to be sure all was correct.. I will go there when I need that service and will certainly recommend them to any of my friends.. They also sold me some miscellaneous parts at very reasonable prices.. 76 year old geezer

I hate to write this review especially the owner/tech was extremely nice and helpful. My outboard…read morehit bottom and just clicks but not start. An outboard repair shop diag the problem to my starter. I was a bit doubtful since the starter should not be effected. I drove 1+ hr from MD to the shop. He tested the starter, showed me some aftermarket options, charged me $10 and told me my starter is in good working condition. The outboard repair shop labor was $400 and told me they would not charge me if it's not the starter. It took me less than 1hr to remove the starter but I rather get stuck with a $400 labor than a $800 starter that I can't return online. The outboard repair shop replaced the starter and starts every time with no problem. Now I'm lost 3+ hrs of my life, $10 test fee and $400 labor that I could've done myself under 1hr. I really wished I could've gave a better rating for the good customer service.

I dropped my car off and was given a rental. They took care of all the negotiations with the insurance company and kept me informed the whole way. They only use OEM replacement parts and the results were fantastic! The detail job they did was also terrific. I always take my car here and recommend them to anyone that needs body work done!

I had a very disappointing and frankly frightening experience with Total Recon. My 2014 Tesla Model…read moreS was towed here on October 3, 2025, after an accident. They gave me a repair estimate of $17,335.18 on October 15, which seemed reasonable, and I assumed work was being done. For over two months, I waited with no updates. Suddenly, on December 5, they emailed demanding the loaner back immediately and threatened a police report for "failure to return a rental vehicle." I called their rep (Alfonso), who said he would extend the loaner--he never followed up. That evening, the loaner was remotely disabled (Valet Mode) while I was driving, stranding me overnight in 20°F snowy/rainy weather on a busy DC street. I had to pay for towing myself to avoid freezing. The next morning (December 6), they called police (Rockville and Prince George's County), claiming I failed to return the rental. They also told officers my Florida license was "fake" or fraudulent. Police cleared me immediately. I repeatedly explained my disabilities (immune-compromised, OCD, ADHD, anxiety) and asked for accommodations to get my medication and belongings from the loaner (less than ¼ mile away at a friend's house). They refused and left me stranded without transportation or meds ever since. Now they demand over $14,000 in storage/rental fees--almost as much as the repair estimate--yet no work was ever done on my car. I have video, emails, bills, and records. This was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Avoid if you value safety and clear communication.
