2 ladies working a few nights ago were very rude when I came in about a new battery very rude and dismissive. No customer service at all

Isaac was so helpful! he immediately asked us if we needed help as soon as we walked in, found the right replacement battery for us, and installed it and had us back on our way, all within 10-15 minutes! he even gave me a lesson so i could try to do it myself next time. Gosh, it is TOUGH out there these days to get good service - or even just find people who care. And I am pretty confident that we have all had some awful experiences when it comes to the automotive industry, am I right?! As a former Corporate Manager myself running various types of stores, it hurts to me to go to a business or a store and find employees (and especially managers) who just do not care at all. This is why I am so happy and writing a 5-star review today for this Auto Zone location, but particularly - this review is 100% owned by the Manager here - Carlos Sanchez - because this guy KNOWS what he is doing and cares that he does it well - you can just tell. He is right there alongside anyone in the store doing the work, and frankly running circles around everyone else (at least, from what I have seen - that is meant as a compliment lol). He helped us personally about a month ago to get our battery tested and changed, and then again today (I got lucky he was there again) with our second car. Friendly & expedited quality service is what we all hope for, right? And this is a BUSY spot, as we have a LOT of independent dealerships right up the street along Broadway with mechanics and the like coming here. And being in South Phoenix, I hate to say it, but sometimes our Corporate chains here are really lacking and poorly managed. Thank you again Carlos, you're terrific and I appreciate you! read more

5 stars. This location gets some of the most traffic in terms of customers just because of the location the store is at. Among other things I'm sure. Has a lot of bad reviews from numb nuts who go in ask for a wrong part or aren't familiar with their vehicles enough to know what part they actually need and then go ahead and blame the store for their own lack of knowledge. This place is a gem and I'm grateful we as citizens can go to a store to be able to order parts so we can do it on our own instead of worrying about the crazy bill you'd get at a shop. read more

I just went in to buy something for my car and the old bald guy with glasses and patching beard had a terrible attitude and really needs to work on his custome service. He behaved like someone pissed in his cereal. He kept hacking up phlegm which was disgusting and not something I want to expierience as a paying customer. Will only return to this location to come and give more bad reviews about his mediocre work. read more

The worst experience ever!!! I literally went and purchased oil to change my oil to find out that the oil I got was so black and it was actually an old oil. A customer did a return and returned an oil that he basically pulled from his turn and the Autozone associates didn't even open or look inside the container to see if anyone is scamming them. What a joke AutoZone!!! You guys should check because those are peoples cars your messing with. Anyone who purchase oil please make sure to look inside the container!!!! read more

I came to this location two days in a row since it is the closest to me, the second day Daniel was over the top with his customer service and helped me change out my car battery. It was greatly appreciated and I know he didn't have to. Auto Zone should be lucky and happy that they have an employee like him! read more

Incompetent, Dismissive and Rude service. Ignore the long wait and the typical frustrations with this store. All new low. Bought a 5yr High Performance battery 5months ago. Dead today. Took it to get charged. Staff said "come back in an hour". 2 Trip and 4 1/2 hours later it is still not charged. And they can't tell me how long it will take and won;'t honor the warranty! Beware of the bait and switch...borders on thievery or at least dishonest commerce. read more

After the worst customer service experience of my life (at a company we'll call "Schlep Boys" at 48th/Warner), I went to AutoZone in a completely sour mood needing a new battery. Jenessis both was my cashier and installed my battery, and she was exceptionally kind and competent at both roles. She had my battery installed very quickly and double-checked that my car started. Super efficient, excellent service. Refused a small tip. She earned AutoZone a customer for life. read more

I was forced to go here due to it being close and me not knowing when my car would stop on me. Turns out I need a new battery but as I am paying for it the manager of the shift is check in other customers as well. I am ok with that until I who was 1st was forced to wait for her to finish everyone paying before she installs my battery. We get out to the car she takes the battery out . She then does not have everything she needs to do her job. I am forced to wait for to long as she figures out what she needs. I would not ever go back to this location in life. SERIOUSLY read more

Omg!!!! DAVID!!! Best worker at Autozone! I came in with my fiancé and he was helpful and informative. Very professional service and absolutely funny and nice. We came in because suspected a dead battery, but wasn't sure if it was the alternator. David kindly ran a diagnostic test FREE and helped us select a battery and they even installed as well. We tried to tip him for his great customer service and he politely declined. I am so pleasantly surprised and thankful for the easy, fast, and professional service he provided. I went in because my battery was dead and I needed a replacement. There was some confusion with the warranty expiration date and I thought I was going to have to end up buying a new one. However, they resolved the mistake quickly and replaced my battery. They made a stressful day a whole lot better! We took our Battery in today to be tested, the guy told us it was at 17% and he would charge it for 1.5 hours then we can pick it up. I called and was told the battery was good and we could pick it up. My Husband went to pick up the battery and was told the battery was bad and leaking. My Husband said that it was not leaking when we brought it in. The Manager came out and was no help at all. They have the worst customer service ever. Will never go to the Auto Zone again. Now we have to go somewhere else to buy a new battery because they over charged ours and ruined it. read more

Hesitated to go this location based on the negative reviews. However, my experience could not have been better. Had a two year old battery die with a 5 year warranty. Brought the original paperwork, got a new battery no hassle and it was installed immediately. Thank you to Gen for the superior service. Made my day! read more

Auto Zone #2752 I needed to purchase a battery for my Cadillac SRX. After the staff of 5 behind the counter completed waiting on other customers the totally ignored my brother and I. After waiting for 35 minutes for service at the counter and one would acknowledge me, until I said something to everyone in the store very loudly. Why, is it that I cant get any service, is it because i'm, not Hispanic? I was not aware that you need to be of a certain ethic group, hispanic to shop in this store. The store manager on duty was in the store and approves of this behavior. Please post a sign at the front door that says no blacks will be served at this store, I'm pretty sure i'm not the first to be treated as such. Looking at other posts on Yelp, its a practice. read more

The least helpful Autozone with the most uninvolved employees ever. Thank goodness Robert, one of the managers, was here to offer little help (he is the reason this place got any stars at all). Asked one employee (red shirt) for a screw for a bumper. He walked is to the screws and left. Asked another employee (red shirt) if he could help and instead of "give me a moment, I'll be right with you" we got "I'm busy. If you get in line someone will help you". Very poor service. Eventually Robert went out of his way to help us...what I'm used to at Autozone! I wouldn't recommend this store and advise Robert to request a transfer before it's too late. read more

If I Could Give Anything Lower Than 1 Star I Would. Went In For Jumper Cables That Were $30. Went To Use Them Mind You My Car Power Came On Enough To Power My Radio And Inside Lights. As Soon As They Were Hooked Up To My Car They Immediately Sparked And Started Smoking. So I Hurried And Removed Them. As I Was Going To Take Them Back I Noticed My Battery Was Completely Dead Now And I Couldn't Lock My Car Door. When I Arrived I Told Them I Had Bought The Cables Less Than 30 Minutes Ago And They Did Not Work. I Was Told By Many Workers And Store Manager JEN That I Cannot Return Them Because Of The Barley Visible Marks On Them. I Explained How They Were Defected And Was Told By Jen That I Needed To Read My Receipt Cause It States No Returns (Which It Does Not) She Then Goes As Far As Calling Me A Liar In So Many Words And Said She'll Have Her Worker Follow Me To Where My Dead Car Was To See If They Really Worked. At First I Agreed Then Told Her That Was Not Safe For Neither One Of Us. The Worker And Jen Made A Smart Remark As It Was Them Going Above And Beyond For The Customer. Mind You Jen Was Yelling In Front Of The Customers So I Asked Her To Step To The Side And Talk To Me And She Barely Walked Up To The Counter. I Asked For The Corporate Number And It Took Her A While To Get It. I Asked One Of The Workers Where She Had Went And He Rudely Said "I Do Not Know I'm With With A Customer Right Now Even Though She Walked Away I'm Still Helping Her." I Have Never Had A Good Experience In This Location And I Have Gone Cause It's Right By My House. I Told Myself After Yesterday To Not Go Back In There And I'm Not. I've been here twice and have gotten terrible service both times. I don't understand how some of the employees even have jobs, let alone at an auto store. They know nothing about automobiles. I will walk around the store, no one there to help. I wait at the front for help and get ignored for a while. About a week or 2 ago, I went in to buy transmission fluid. I asked where I could find it. They just pointed. I actually had to ask them to show me instead of just pointing. Come on now, what kind of customer service is that? Pointing doesn't tell me anything. Today I went in to buy a few things. I found the other items I was looking for, but I mostly was there to buy a box of multiple fuses. I wanted the employee to look up what box of multiple fuses I should buy for my vehicle. She looked in the computer and asked what I needed them for. I told her multiple things, so I need multiple fuses. She told me to hold on so she could ask someone else. Really? You have a computer giving you this info right in front of you. Some other lady comes to help me. She wants to go out and look at my fuses. Yeah, ok, I guess that works. So, we go out. She tells me I have no cover for my fuse box, so I will need a book. Yeah, thanks, I have one. She tells me I am missing TONS of fuses. We go back in, she hands me a box of fuses, plus tells me I will need to buy a separate set of fuses that aren't included in this multipack set. Awesome, thanks for your help. I get home, change clothes, get down there and start looking at my fuses. First: there is no cover for where my fuses are. There isn't supposed to be. 2nd: I don't need the book, the fuses are listed right there. 3rd: I'm missing 2 fuses. Not a bunch like she claimed. 4th: The 2nd thing of fuses she said I needed, are not needed and don't go anywhere. WTF? Also, she saw that I had no stereo. She laughed at me thinking I was installing one myself. Um, RUDE. Just because she thinks she knows so much about vehicles, which she clearly DOES NOT, doesn't mean I don't know about electronics and car stereos. Which, I don't, but she doesn't know this. My friend was installing it for me. But to laugh at me and question me. Really? The people who work here know nothing about vehicles. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them to sell me the right things needed for a vehicle or to ever diagnose any kind of issues with a vehicle. They are rude, not very helpful, and have no knowledge of their jobs. Sad. read more
