I've always had a great experience here. The guys at the front are so kind and helpful. I know nothing about cars. They walk me over to find what I need. Once they didn't have it in stock and got it delivered to their store the next day. Yesterday I went in to use their scanner machine to see why my check engine light was on. 3/10/2024- Stopped in to have the Lexus battery checked.. It's the original battery from Japan, and 6 years old!! Staff came out and was super helpful and checking the battery.. Registered as dead! I already made an appt. At the dealership for tomorrow to get a new OEM battery.. So glad they do free battery checks! read more

I was here with my daughter in search of a lock for the spare tire of her car. I have previously been here and the employees have always been extremely helpful, so that is what I was expecting. Well, that is not the service we got initially. We made it clear we needed help and we were at a loss as to what we needed, but basically were left to figure it out ourselves. O'Reilly has been a good place to get things to do your own simple repairs as long as they've been O'Reilly. I really appreciate the Damonte location because they are always friendly and I've had good luck with them having what I need in stock. I'm writing this review because here it is Sunday night at 7:30 and they are open. I was able to use their OMDB 2 reader for no cost. They are kind enough to loan equipment for free even though they may not get business from it. The employee was nice enoug to search the error code to give me more information, even though this wasn't going to be something I could fix myself. Definitely a place we should give business to! I usually go to Summit Racing in Sparks when several auto parts are needed or a big project is brewing with the vehicles but when the project is small and simple; this is usually my go to auto parts store. Unlike Summit, Oreilly's is a little more down to earth and willing to speak car with you. They are very knowledgeable and for the most part pretty helpful. If they are busy, it can be challenging at times to get someone to help you but eventually; one of them will be all yours. Early mornings or evenings tend to be the best timeframes as it isn't too busy during these times. A large variety of everything automotive is usually in stock and if it isn't; they will order it and in most cases have it their store the same day or the next. This happened the other day when they only had a particular Mechanix gloves in Large only that I wanted. I needed extra large and was going to venture out to other local auto stores; when the employee said "I can order it for you and have here in about an hour..." Of course, I said "great I'll take it!" Why only four stars you ask... Not that big of a deal but while waiting in line, the employee was on a call and come to find out; he was on hold for a pretty long time. While on hold, he could have been checking the next customer out while waiting on hold instead of letting the line back up... Great clean local store with knowledgeable staff that is always helpful. read more

Service was fine. I didn't appreciate the music being played as it had curse words. I asked Gavin what they were playing. He replied "whatever is on the radio." They don't allow the F word on the radio so it was obviously streaming (Pandora, Spotify etc.) I told him they should play something that doesn't have curse words as there could be children in the store. He didn't reply, even though he heard me. I then said' " Right Gavin?" and he woke up. Customer service reps at a public customer service based business shouldn't have to be told it's not okay to play music with curse words at the store. Smh read more

Brought the car here because the search engine light lit up. Juan came out with the equipment that finds out what the light was about and in a matter of a couple of minutes, he figured it out. He reset the light, and advised us to keep an eye on it if it comes back up. So far it hasn't so I think we're good. Juan was very professional and pleasant, despite the fact that we dragged him in the cold for a service that's free of charge. I like that. If I do have car trouble, I may just have to bring it here. Hubby thinks I will be in good hands, and that's reassuring, knowing I'd rather wait for him to be home than take the car anywhere myself. Just wanted to say thanks to Manager Pablo and Alex. We came up from So Ca, braving the 395 during a major storm. We bought some chains the day before for the drive. They worked as promised for most the trip. The cross cable on one of the chains broke, so we immediately stopped and Macgyver'd the loose cable from destroying my fender, and went another 15 miles. When we went to see if they would defect this one and exchange us for a new set they let us know the warranty ; as is. They didn't have to do anything, according to the policy, however, George and Eric at the So. Virginia rd branch said that they would help out. Right on!! They didnt have it in stock but store #3581 did. George called Pablo and set us up for the transaction. I bought these down at our La Crescenta store and they still went above and beyond. I was in this store this afternoon and was at the counter paying. A gentleman walks in and the staff greeted him by first name. I turned and was walking out and this man didn't have a face covering on. Staff new this man and didn't say a thing to him about it. The store does have a sign on the front door stating face coverings required. Now I understand a lot of us are vaccinated. I am, but I still follow local and state mandates. Eli the store manager is always very cheerful and helpful, John is the guru and can help figure out most any issue, Phil is gets the job done as well, all of the others that work there are just as helpful. This isn't the type of store where the attitude is whatever, I think they really enjoy helping the customer! I just started my latest project dropping in a engine from a auto to manual transmission which means needing a part called a pilot bushing or clutch pilot bearing. Well since this store was the most convenient as far as location to me I figure give it a try. As I approach the counter all seems well till I asked for the part that I need to continue the project the counter person just didn't have a clue I mean he looked it up in the computer to tell me no we don't show or carry such a part. As a person needing a part that all automotive parts store should have I just think this was rediculous especially to know that the counter parts person can't seem to have and idea of what the part is. A suggestion for the future ask for HELP! that just left a bad experience and from now on I think a 5 minute drive further north to the other auto parts store seem like a good idea. read more
