On Thursday, around noon, there were only 2 cars ahead of me when I pulled in. From that point, it's about an hour wait. So after I got checked in with my newer vehicle (if you haven't brought your vehicle here before, it takes just a little bit longer to check-in). While my car got waited to get the oil change, I went inside to do my clients shopping. As I shopped, I received text message updates that my car had gotten started. After I finished shopping, I headed to the back of Walmart where the auto care center is. It looks like 5 minutes prior, I had received the text message that my car was finished! I paid for a synthetic oil chain change and an oil filter, and was on my way! Thanks for the fast and kind service from everyone in the Walmart Auto Care Center!! I had a very disappointing experience at the Walmart Auto Care Center on Pleasant Grove. I was told it was "company policy" that they could not replace a TPMS (tire pressure) sensor unless I purchased a new tire. To verify, I contacted another Walmart Auto Care Center, and they told me they could perform the service without requiring a new tire. It's frustrating to receive completely different answers from two Walmart locations about what is supposedly the same company policy. Either the staff at this location are not properly trained, or they are making up policies instead of providing accurate information to customers. I wasted my time driving there only to be turned away based on a made up policy. Consistency and honesty matter, and unfortunately this location fell short on both. I won't be returning to this Auto Care Center and would recommend calling another Walmart location before wasting your time here. read more

Used to be our go-to spot for oil changes on the older vehicles. Until after the last visit, when I noticed my car had clearly been backed into something while in their care. I contacted corporate, who told me to reach out to the store. I did and no response. I followed up with corporate again, they said a manager would contact me. That never happened either. I wasn't rude, aggressive, or looking for a fight, I simply wanted them to review their cameras. That's basic accountability. I got nothing. That's it. No accountability, no follow-through, nothing. Unfortunately, this is exactly the level of service I've come to expect from Walmart, so while disappointing, it's not surprising. Leave your car here if you're comfortable with zero accountability and no follow-up when something goes wrong. read more

I've been coming here for years but now, I am no longer coming to this location anymore after my last service a few months ago. I have no problem with service advisor and technicians. They were great. Just have issues with the comment they left on the paperwork about not serving any newer models of Nissan Rogue stating it is in their store's policy. It's unheard of and disturbing. They said they will cancel and/or refuse if I bring my current vehicle in. I am having my car serviced to another location from now on. read more

Recently came here for a high mileage oil change, which currently costs about $45. As far as I can tell, they did a pretty good job on the service. They didn't reset my "check engine" light, but that's not a big deal, since my brother-in-law was able to explain that one to me over the phone. When I showed up, at about 12:40p.m., there were already several other people waiting in their cars for service. The woman who was taking everyone's orders on an ipad seemed confused, but not like she was in a hurry at all. She was taking over five minutes per car. After I'd been waiting for about twenty minutes, a man who had just pulled in started yelling at her, "Hey, can I get some service?" She told him that the rest of us had been waiting before he got there, but then went ahead and helped him first, anyway. What the heck? Finally, the person who she'd been covering for got there, or got back from lunch, or whatever. He quickly started catching up, and was taking my order a few minutes later. I walked around Wal-Mart, and then around Sam's Club. When I walked by at 1:45, my car had not moved. It was parked in the exact same place in line where I had left it. So, I walked around some more, and went across the street, to Chando's Tacos. At 3:04, I received a text message saying that service had been started on my car. At this point, I was actually watching from the waiting lounge. Around 3:35, I was paying. Altogether, it took three hours to get an oil change. I've been going here for few years and I recently had a oil change last Sunday. Something felt wrong with my car so I took it to my friend shop who is mechanic and he checked it for me. Walmart missed 2 quarts of oil from filling the engine, as well as not replacing the old oil filter, if we didn't notice this then it could have messed up my engine in the long run. Who knows how long they have been doing this, I feel betrayed. Don't ever go here and find a trusted reliable mechanic. read more

I needed to get my oil changed and went to several places that couldn't get me in. My neighbor told me he goes to Walmart and recommended them. I went first thing in the morning and they got me in. My car was ready within two hours, perfect! The cost was very reasonable. My Jeep is running great! read more

Their closing time says 7, but when I got there at 6:30 they told me it was too late because they were cleaning already. I think the hours should be changed to reflect that so someone doesn't waste their time rushing to get there. read more

What a total disaster this place is! I came in to replace my battery which was under warranty purchased there. They tested it and found that it was bad and then proceeded to install a new one. The battery had a five year warranty and I had purchased it 3 1/2 years ago. When it came time to check out The fellow working at the register was not at all savvy. He said he didn't know how to deal with this warranty issue and called his supervisor. He took at least 15 minutes to get to the register there was five people in line. The guys behind me had left their car for an oil change the day before and had never been contacted to pick it up! The supervisor tried to tell me that the battery company now had a three-year warranty and so the five year warranty battery that I purchased was not under warranty anymore. I told him that was unacceptable. He dinks around for a while, Then finally agrees to do the proration that is stated right on the side of the battery, Checking out took longer than waiting to get the battery replaced! I will never ever ever ever get auto parts or service at Walmart again. read more

i brought my car in for an oil change on Thursday, i was "quoted" an hour i then later notice they back my car up and bring 2 other cars in front of mine and immediately start working on those cars. i arrived at around noon and got into my car to leave at 2 after being told only about an hour. This particular walmart (900 pleasant grove blvd) is very unprofessional, there was a lot of curse words being said very loudly with multiple children in site. i didn't see any managers around the whole time and a lot of goofing around between the associates. read more

The greeter is a cool dude and always friendly, but I feel like the techs who do the oil changes need more pep in their step. I managed a lube chain store for several years and know first hand that it definitely doesnt take this long to do an oil and filter change. In 1 hour I only moved up one position. The worst experience I have ever had getting an oil change. I was first checked in by Jimmy, at 8:05am there was 2 cars in front of me. I had a small child with me so I wanted to confirm how long it would take so Jimmy said "it should be about an hour you just have this one car ahead of you". So then I confirmed and said okay so I'll come back around 9:05 right? and he said yes. Come 9:15 they just then start servicing my car! And instead of Jimmy saying hey sorry my time was wrong we're running behind he rudely comes in and says "I said an hour and forty five" and I let him know that he did not say that and that I even confirmed my come back time with him so he continues to argue with me and then walks off saying "well I know what I said". The cashier lady seemed to be understanding that he was being out of hand but when talking to the man giving me my keys about how unacceptable that behavior was he decided to turn away and not respond back to me. Will absolutely never be back again, they should learn how to be real men and own up to their mistakes and apologize. read more

Today has been an absolute nightmare. Pulled in and checked in at 3:40. Was told it take at most two hours so we waited. My four children and I went had a snack and got all our grocery shopping done. It's now 8 o'clock at night and my car just was brought in to get two tires replaced. We are in the middle of moving and I need to get busy at my house. It's been 4 hours approaching 5 and still no word they keep telling me I'm next... I'm next to go insane. read more

If you have 2-3 hours (vs half an hour promised) to waste away, then come here. I came back 50 min later for a simple tire balancing (20 min past due time) and Dwayne, a supposed Mgr, says they couldn't find the lug nut key! No one asked for it! - that's protocol I later find out. FAIL! And so I ask, why didn't you call me, and he says that they JUST got started on it. No sorry, nothing. So I spoke to another manager, Sam who tried to amend the situation by having come back and not charge me for lost time and terrible service. They WON'T call you nor answer their phone either. So I go back in a couple hours later and Dwayne has to help me. Sam was at lunch but told Dwayne to expedite my car for the mess up earlier and Dwayne promised he'd work on it himself and wear gloves (bc I had just professionally washed the car). I told him this time I'll wait (rather than shop) so that they had no excuses this time and he clenched his teeth and said in a mocking way, "we never make excuses" and says it won't be longer than 20 min. He takes a while to bring my car into the garage then I see him leave shortly after and my car isn't attended to for over 40 min, which is when Dwayen later reappears, and I ask him how much longer and he annoyingly says, I don't know, I'm at lunch! Wtf! Another guy had to attend to me. It took them over an hour! I KNEW that he let the other guys take care of another male before me AGAIN! Top it off, they come back and tell me my car is ready BUT one of the lug nuts was broken! Wtf! Now I'm suppose to go fix it and bring back a $150+ bill that I fear they won't reimburse if Sam isn't there. As if I have time to waste and my brother - who owns the car - isn't gonna flip out! I'm sure they broke it. Sam is the only saving grace at this place. But never returning unless maybe if Sam is attending. read more

I will never use a Walmart Auto Care Center again. When I dropped my car off to have 4 tires installed (which I ordered through walmart.com - never again), I was told it would take 1 hour and 45 minutes maximum. I came back 2.5 hours later just to leave some extra time and I was told it would take 45 minutes and my car was just brought into the garage. Great customer service! No apology or explanation from the Service Manager at all. read more
