I went in on Thursday afternoon to get some shrink tubing, wandered up and down every single aisle and although I found some, it was not the correct size. Went up to the counter where two workers were standing, I asked if they had any other shrink tube and they pointed down the aisle where I had just been. Neither willing to come out to help me. Just poor customer service in general. I know it was just a small purchase, but since I do a lot of my own car repairs, I spend a fair amount of money at AutoZone. Didnt know one of the criteria to work at this location is to belittle customers for asking for tools or help. The store manager refused to return certain items (like chains), claiming it was against 'company policy,' even though there is no such exclusion listed on their website. Came here to get my battery checked. The person at the counter did a quick check and showed me that my battery wasn't holding a charge. He proceeded back to the counter and helped find the right one. My car unfortunately isn't very clear on battery sizing so he recommended buying a smaller battery size. Unfortunately though he refused to install it, so I took it home to install it myself. After opening up my battery compartment in the car it turned it that the battery was the wrong size. I headed back to the store and was welcomed by another autozone clerk who was even more helpful than the last. He came in and took a look at my actual car battery and took measurements and helped me exchange it for the right size. He also helped me replace the battery and provided some great tips on how to do it myself if I ever wanted too. For folks who are complaining about battery exchanges or replacements, here's some info: - Autozone will not honor an exchange or refund if you install the battery in your car and then decide to bring it back. This is typical of all stores, if you're not sure the battery is a fit or the right type then don't plug it in. Once the terminals are scratched they can tell you attempted and install and it's not something they can restock and resell. - Battery warranty is digital, they take your phone number and name and save it in the system, make sure you double check your info. - Duralast is an autozone brand and it's much better than a lot OEM batteries, I tested the charge, discharge and wattage on these and they're more consistent then what my Mercedes OEM battery does. On top of that they have 3 year warranty on Duralast Platinum Yes the store has a lot of young employees but they were very helpful, it's unfair to expect them to have mechanic grade knowledge of every single car. read more

This rating almost wasn't going to be five stars. I went in with a battery that was still under warranty. The only problem is that I didn't have the phone number of the guy that sold me the truck that it came with, so the first customer service guy told me there was nothing they could do. He then asked me if I wanted to charge my dead battery that he just finished telling me had no warranty, and was a bad battery. I figured what the hell, I might as well have them do something. I come back a week later because that was the only free time I had to pick up the battery, and they tell me that it was recycled... long story short, Armando, the manager on duty found my battery, and honored the warranty, and got me a brand new battery. Manager at the store on 4/23 at 5:35 p.m. told me "this isn't a motorcycle store don't come here for that stuff" as I'm holding motorcycle oil, engine cleaner and other items... I put them back because even buying oil from him was a hassle. At the end of it all, a "thank you "from me and a .......... ignorance at its finest here these people are trying but the manager knows everything in the word so that wasn't a fun time . He doesn't deserve to be a cashier let alone a manager the way he talked it was disgusting. Please only go here if your excited to be berated. On a busy day, it takes a while to get assistance. It's obvious they need more people and the COVID barrier they have setup is confusing. However, I needed a car battery and made a visit to the store the day before Thanksgiving. It wasn't normal busy so my experience that day with their staff was great. Have come to this location a few times because it's convenient. It's beyond worth it to go somewhere farther away. The lines are always long, the staff is never helpful, and a number of really poor policies make it so you'd have to be crazy to buy things from them (examples: if I open the package for an antenna I might want then I can't return it (Amazon will let me buy as many antennas to try as I want and return the ones I don't want to keep for free); wait in line to get my battery checked (so that I can presumably buy a battery from them but they just say to wait outside until they get through the line of customers in the store...meanwhile more and more customers are coming in--I'm a customer too...I also waited in line...). Will never go here again. O'reilly's and Napa are just a couple minutes farther away. Hope this place closes down and turns into something better for 13th Street. read more

This store is the worst customer service from employees all the way to manager! Went in to get battery replaced as should be under the 5 year prorated and 3 year free warranty. Went one month after the 3 year warranty to get replaced. Was not expecting free battery but prorated version. Was told only manager can work it and would be back in 5 mins. Almost 20 mins later finally comes up. And rather then listening to situation cut me off and identified that system doesn't allow him to do anything and would not help. I went into Autozone to get products for my car battery. I was able to find what I needed. Though they didn't have a smaller can of anticorrosion (for the battery) which was disappointing since now I have a large can that I'll probably never use again, oh well. What I like about AutoZone is there free battery check and rent-a-tool program. Both cool benefits which they offer (which O'Reilys doesn't). I go in to change my fuse on my brothers car. It was not the correct fuse so we decided to return it 5 mins later. A heavy set gentlemen with a beard proceeded to tell us we switched it and are trying to return a different fuse. He became argumentative and proceeded to tell us we were trying to fanagle them. Based on past reviews of AutoZone at this particular location, it seems like experiences can be hits and misses. My experience of one visit was definitely positive, a reminder of the values of brick and mortar stores. I was shopping for wiper blades and drove out of my way to this location to snatch the last ones that would fit my vehicle. After checkout I was asked if I needed assistance to install them. I hesitated for a second -- figuring I could do it myself since I've done it before -- before accepting the offer. Boy was I glad I did. It turns out, first, one of two blades I selected after much research online did not fit (wrong adapter type). Fortunately there was one that fits on the shelf (also last one in stock) and the manager let me exchange it with the (wrong) one that was already opened. Then, it turns out, the default adapter on the blade did not fit my vehicle, and needed to be swapped out with the one attached in the package (which required use of a plier and some brute force). Shout out to Robert G and his manager for providing such superb customer service. read more

I don't recommend this place aside from convenience if you live nearby. Went in to get a replacement battery. I had just bought a new battery in the past 2 years, but it didn't come up in the system and the battery in the car was labeled 2011. So perhaps someone switched out my battery. Big deal, I'll get a new one. My fault. This guy wasn't in a red AutoZone shirt, not sure if this means he is a manager, but he was pretty bad at all things that should be done when involving customer service. He had a black windbreaker jacket on. 1 star for bare minimum in letting me swipe my card, pay for a battery, and loaning me a ratchet to swap it out! I asked "are all these batteries pretty good or what do you recommend," he responded "yea." Okay cool, "young" guy, I get it. Told him which one, cool. He then asked me if I wanted him to change the battery for me. I said "Ya, can you?" He then sighed and asked me if I knew how and he can give me the tools. Yea I know how, but do you Mr. AutoZone Professional?? Keep in mind, my last battery replacement at a different autozone, an employee didn't even ask and did it for me.
