A recent project I am involved with required some steel tubing. I went to Mission Valley Ford Truck because their truck body shop has that type of material and hoped they could supply what I needed. Mr Barbosa in the parts department was very helpful in special ordering the material and followed up when the material arrived. I purchased an 2006 E450 box truck in 2007. I had it serviced at Mission Valley Ford, with mixed results, leaking high-pressure oil system, faulty turbo several times. Finally, I had a crank-but no start situation. I called the towing company to take it to Mission Valley Ford. I called ahead, and they said "don't bring it to ue" they would no longer work on it. I bought it new from them. And now they will no longer service it? It had the 6L turbo diesel, which is an infamously bad engine. I was never told about the service record of that engine when I bought it. And now Mission Valley will not even service it? I will not ever return to Mission Valley, and will never buy another Ford! I took my 2017 Ford F150 in for an oil change. There were two issues. One, they changed my heavy duty license plate frames to cheap Mission Valley Ford license plate frames without telling me and without my permission. The screw holes in the frame were stripped which makes it hard to remove license plates to add tags. I was also told that my rear brakes were very low and I needed new pads and rotors in the rear. I later took my truck to AAA auto repair in San Jose. They measured my brake pads and told me that the pads were good and did not need to be replaced anytime soon. I was very disappointed in MSF and will NOT be taking my vehicle there again. read more

Mission Valley Ford is the absolute worst! I try to avoid them at all costs, but sometimes I can't. Today was one of those awful days where I was forced to deal with them. First I tried to speak with someone in their parts department to check stock and price on some parts, but I was greeted with "mission valley ford parts, please hold", then sat on hold for 20 minutes. I figured I had been forgotten about, so I hung up and called back, trying to tell them I had been holding for 20 minutes, but was again instantly put on hold where a sat for another 10 minutes. I finally gave up and sent an employee to just go pick up the parts. To my surprise, they tried charging me 10% more than the price listed on fordparts.com. We pointed that out and they basically said too bad, the price is the price. So I went ahead and bought the parts on fordparts.com with a pickup at mission valley ford. I opened an account with Ford(not the dealership) and placed a reservation for an F150 Lightning on 05/21/201. I selected Mission Valley Ford Truck as the dealership to take my delivery. On Sep 2, 2022( almost a year and half later), Ford send me an email asking if I still want to keep my reservation - I replied promptly on the same day that - I do. On Sep 21 2022, "Mission Valley Ford Truck". went ahead and cancelled my reservation without even asking me or notifying me. Received an email from Ford stating the reservation is cancelled. And the best part - they put the reason as "customer requested cancellation". Remember - this is a reservation I directly placed with Ford, not through the dealership. I dropped off my company vehicle because it was a 2020 Ford Transit, and was under the 36,000 mile warranty. It took them 7 days to replace a battery, not fix the issue with on flat right side tire, AND they told me I had to pay for an unauthorized Oil Change which ended up costing me $116 (out of my own pocket - since they held the key hostage) I highly do NOT recommend this place to anyone, never had a worst customer experience. First I'd like to say that the service manager Alfredo is very nice and has great customer service skills, however Mission Valley Ford's owners ruined my experience when they decided they won't work in trucks that have authorized tunes. My F250 SD 7.3 has been getting service done at MVF for years, but they refuse to work on any trucks with a Banks Tuner. So despite the fact that they have worked on my truck for years they will no longer do it. What was upsetting to me is that I brought my truck in for a diagnostic and they agreed to do the diagnostic and then stop halfway through because they noticed the modification. There is no reason MVF should not consider looking at trucks with mods but apparently the owner got upset with someone that had made an issue for them and so they choose to discriminate on what trucks they service. Worst service I've experienced. My 2014 F150 FX4 started making a rumbling noise in the front end. I made an appointment for, I believe 10/10/23. I show up for the appointment and leave the truck and key. I was told they will evaluate the truck with in two days. Two days go by and I call. I was told they are really busy and it won't be looked at until that Friday. Ok I can understand that. The next Monday they sent me a proposal. Bad, leaking water pump and worn serpentine belt and seals. $4100. I gave the approval to make the repairs. A week later I'm told repairs are complete, good to go. I go to pick up the vehicle, pay the bill and I'm just out the lot and the same noise is still there. I turn around and bring the truck back. I tell them the noise is still there. I ask did you test drive after the repairs? Yes was the answer. Ok. They take the truck back in. A week later they claim the noise is coming from the front differential. Next proposal $4200 to rebuild the differential. So I asked the service advisor about the water pump. Told her I never saw any water under the truck. How was it bad. Her response, well sometimes the water never makes it to the ground. Ok. I asked for the service manager's phone number. She tells me he doesn't have one, but he will call me. Never happened. I did get a call two days later the the service manager would like to met me. I go to see him and she tells me it's not the front differential. He personally inspected it. He takes me to the truck to show me the problem. They have both front axles removed. He shows me, and I don't remember the part name but it's what engages the front differential when you switch to 4 wheel drive. It was definitely damaged. I told him to replace them, plus one of the spark plugs was arcing. Ok replace them. They revised the differential quote to this repair. About the same. A week later the repairs are done, however they are having difficulties doing the front end alignment. This Wen on for another week. Keep in mind I'm renting cars, taking Uber and not once did they offer to help. Finally the truck is ready. So, $8500, plus $1400 in rental fees I drive my truck home. That same weekend I take the truck to trade it in. I don't trust it anymore. Well guess what? On the way to the dealership it starts making the same noise. Not as bad, but still there. They charged twice as much for oil change and gave me a repair estimate three times more for the break service. First of all I think that one star is to high of a rating, brought my van in for service due to a warranty issue. The staff seemed friendly, however there was no follow up after that. I was promised a phone call the next morning it never came. They promised that my vehicle would be ready the following day. After 3 days I called they said that "the part came in wrong" another day went by and still nothing. Unfortunately I am extremely disappointed that this dealership lets this happen. It is obviously a huge complaint from researching past reviews. Maybe the owners will finally look at all the negative feedback and do something about it. 5 days later I finally get my work vehicle back a whole lost week of income. This service center is among the worst. I tried scheduling an appointment and was told they run on a "first come first serve" basis, even though they have an appointment page on their website. When I dropped off the vehicle I was not given an estimate for the time or cost of a simple OIL CHANGE. After 5 hours of not hearing from them, I called and was told the service manager had been trying to reach me despite my phone not having any trace of a phone call from them. I showed up after being told the vehicle was ready only to be told the oil change wasn't covered by warranty and that the total for the service and TPS light was $300. A joke. We had reservations for a pick-up truck. We needed it to pull a trailer for an event on Saturday. As they are not open on weekends, Friday pickup is needed. Showed up, girl behind desk tells me that they don't have a truck for me. She confirms that they have my reservation, but no trucks. No solution or other options are offered. As a result, our organization had to scramble to find another vehicle (over 250 people relying on this rental). It's now a story to tell everyone involved. Why does a business take reservations and not honor them or offer any solutions? I don't know, but I do not recommend using them. I will not. Do your research, there are other truck rental companies in the area. There is too much competition to subject yourself to poor business practices that Mission Valley Ford embraces. read more

This place is a piece of work. Brought in a new 2021 f550 dump truck we purchased last year for an issue covered under warranty. 10 days later and no follow up. Had to go down to the service center for the supervisor to tell us that they haven't even inspected it and had not ordered the parts. The bolt that holds the leaf spring pack together fell out. You'd think they would jump on it since it's under warranty and the part is a $10 part. It probably takes their mechanic no more than 30 minutes to install it. We would have fixed it ourselves but Ford will void your warranty if you do. read more

I spoke with a service adviser today (Lance) and he had a rude arrogant tone of voice throughout our discussion. Mind you, I called to ask if certain repairs could be performed by the shop. I went to Mission Valley Ford to buy a new service truck for my business. They don't seem to be interested in a single truck buyer. One large company purchases over 400 trucks a year, so Jim the salesman told me that I was not a priority. He said that he would do a search for the truck that I wanted, but I have never heard back from him. It is now over a month since he said that. Unfortunately I am between model years, and Jim said that it could take up to eight months to set up a truck with a service body. Guess what, I found a truck that works perfectly , two weeks later at the Ford dealership two miles from my house. The service body is going on soon! So much for everyone's search. They don't seem to care about the small buyer, unless they can sell a truck right off the lot. At least not mine. I have a 2015 Mini Winnebago on a Ford E350 chassis and is 24 ft long. I've been going to MVF since day one oil change as I am a firm believer in service being done by professionals at one shop preferably the shop who's brand they service l. Even an oil change. The OWNER of MVF supposedly has this policy of not servicing RVs now because a few bad eggs abandoned theirs on them. I'm not questioning if that's a thing I'm just annoyed that turning away customers is really a thing. I was expecting to drive my RV and even wait while the work was done. But don't worry MVF even if you changed your policy I will be taking my busine$$ else where. read more

I've been here twice now and have been very happy with the staff and service. Each time I walked into the Service Department, I was immediately greeted by a friendly person. While my two visits were prompted by a recall and a warranty issue, I decided to get my oil changed there as well. I was happy with the promptness of the service, both events only taking a day, and the issues were resolved efficiently both times. While there are lots of places I can go for future maintenance or repairs, I think I will continue using Mission Valley Ford because of their great service and their convenient proximity to the I880 highway. read more

Worst car buying experience I've had. I had countless issues while ordering my ford Bronco from beginning to end. First my initial reservation for my Bronco was not used and ended up getting canceled, second the sales person Wayne Lattin almost got away with over charging for my Bronco order and disregarded my price protection at time of sale until corrected by other sales people, and third they drilled holes into my brand new vehicle for a license plate holder after I had requested them not to since I was going to be buying a mount for a license plate to attach to my modular bumper that I paid extra for. After being denied a replacement part where holes where drilled by dealership mechanics after requesting them not to do so just shows the lack of communication and customer service. The manager for ford valley motors, what ever his name is instead of owning up to his employees mistake tries to justify the situation by playing license plate police and saying that by law there has to be plates in the front of the vehicle before leaving the dealership. I suggest avoid this place at all cost they don't care for their customers RAPPORT. If you have to visit this so called dealership ask for Charlie at least he can provide good customer service and actually seems to care for his customers. read more

I took my 15K GVWR E350 box van in on a Friday for an oil change and the service tech noticed that I was due for front brakes. I couldn't do it that day as certain brakes jobs require extended time, but I made an appointment for the following Monday and wow am I glad that I did it. Later that week after my brakes were done I had an "panic moment" on San Thomas Expressway that forced me to stand on the brakes. All I can say is that I'm thankful that they has just been serviced.
