He also voluntarily thought to check my battery power and made some educated guesses as to what my problem could be while also printing out the report for my vehicle that the Fix Finder was able to retrieve. Very terrible customer service. Had a young man who looked like he got finished doing a photo shoot for a low budget rap album cover make up a store policy to not do the work when I tried to get my car battery exchanged and changed at the store location. I explained I had a warranty and that did nothing. Instead of going back and forth I simply said thanks and I'll go elsewhere. Arguing with a fool would make me a fool too. I would've felt better if he was honest & just said he didn't want to do it lol! Even entering the place, the employees looked like they could care less about the customers and job itself. Definitely don't recommend this location for service. Given the quality of the employees, it seems as if they want to chase the profits away instead of getting it via good customer service. When I come to this store: I go to the counter and tell the person what I need, they find the part, come back, I pay them and off I go. After an oil change, the people noticed my brake lights were out and sent me here. Samuel changed my brake lights, changed my windshield wipers and showed me how to do it and explained how he could tell the bulbs were out. We come in with the exact model numbers of brake parts. The employee insists on getting the make and model of our car and doesn't look at our part numbers. It turns out he rang the correct part but physically gave us the wrong one. We go back to exchange it. He denies giving us the wrong part and asserts we told him the wrong part number. We say you wouldn't even let us tell you what it was. He says it is our fault our part is not what was on the receipt!? He also won't process the return and says it HAS to be done at a store that has the correct part. After a trip to an actual helpful AutoZone, it turns out he was lying about the return too. Avoid this place. Employees will not admit simple mistakes and will accuse you of lying. read more

It was almost 8pm... Car battery died... I purchased one here almost 3 years ago, called to check and there was warranty on the battery for 3 years... Perfect... Got there... Couldn't take the battery out myself.... Delmus was helping me out and he offer to check it out... He was able to take the battery out, do the warranty exchange and put the new battery in altogether in less than 15 minutes.... There was corrosions on the battery and the connector... I came into the new store that recently opened to utilize their free battery testing and charging service. I brought in my Optima battery, which are pricey batteries, priced around the $200 range. Although most batteries are ready within the hour, I was told to leave my battery overnight due to its deep-cycle. I came back the next day and the battery wasn't doing too good. However, Michael (Store Manager) was kind enough to inform me that sometimes Optima's need a few days to come back to life. I went here yesterday although it was Memorial Day the store was open with regular hours. My car suddenly had a very rough time starting and I suspected it was the battery. I went over to Autozone and Andrew was very helpful. He came outside to test my battery, cleaned the connecting cables and battery as they had a lot of corrosion, and then took my battery off and re-charged it all free of charge. Note: Saturday morning is not the best time to come here as they are extremely busy! read more

Came in at 10:30 today. The employees including the manager answered multiple calls just making the customers wait in line. I waited 10 minutes while they talked and just left to orielly not even 1 minute away. On top of that they have another employee cleaning the floor while we waited. Patrons Beware PSA: attempted to purchase a 2 pack of headlamp bulbs which I had to bring to the counter to purchase, I was then told that this item was out of stock but I could purchase 2 individual bulbs, mind you that would cost me $5-$6 more. I asked to speak to the manager. Was introduced to Alex (the manager) and asked if I could purchase both bulbs at the price of the out of stock double package. Alex then told me that he would be unable to accommodate me. As a courtesy I brought up all the remaining double headlight bulb tickets which were on the shelf (as a courtesy to the store and other potential customers) but as I was leaving Alex decided that they'd be much better back where they were, and stated that the next time someone brought up the ticket they would be told they were out. I once again thanked him and wished him a good day. Am I wrong for asking for the individual bulbs at the double package price. I wasn't expecting bait and switch tactics but I believe that is what I was a potential victim of. This was also the second auto zone I had visited this day and the other store did not attempt to sell me 2 individual bulbs at regular price because they were out. Perhaps another compromise such as ordering said double bulb package could have been initiated buy the manager in this situation. read more

Sylvia is very rude and uneducated about car parts. She is a sad excuse for a auto zone employee. She sold me the wrong head light 3 times but everytime claimed this was the one then proceeded to be rude to me after my third trip there because of her lack of professionalism and knowledge. Mixed review: Super friendly, helpful, good hours. Gave me the wrong battery, had to return it for the correct one. Told me to return the core, with or without receipt because it was already in the system. Took the core in, they didn't have any record of the new, correct battery purchase so couldn't return the core. Had to come back home, with core back in tow, to get the receipt. What should have been two trips there and back turned into four trips there and four trips back, each due to their errors. I am super busy. Our car had a bad battery. My girlfriend and I went to Richmond Auto zone to change the battery but they couldn't change it because the screws and nuts were corroded, the manager was very polite and recommend us to try another auto zone in San Pablo. So I went to this auto zone and a guy name Lupe took extra mile and changed the corroded screws and installed a new battery. He didn't charge us anything for his labor.
