The employee's attitude was disgusting. I came in to buy oil because my dad is out of town and told me to show a picture of the oil and ask for help pouring it in. I wasn't asking for a free oil change I was buying the product from your store and simply needed a minute of help because I know nothing about cars. This was the second location I had attempted to find an engine coil for my 2008 Sienna late last Sunday night. I called first before driving out of my way. Alyssa was helpful by looking up the part # I provided her, then physically checking the shelf. Once I arrived, I provided the part # I had to Shane who compared it to his system and found I had the incorrect part # for my vehicle. He produced the correct part and offered me a couple of options. Needless to say, I was relieved to avert the disaster of returning home to my waiting brother and presenting him the wrong part! Your store redeemed its self!! 2 years ago I bought a battery... it failed within 5 months. Store gave me a new battery free, but workers at that time would not change it for me, as he, "did not feel comfortable". I had a neighbor install at my residence. Today, Zoe, renewed my opinion of this Auto Zone. My battery went dead again, it was still under warrantee, and Zoe, delightfully and pleasantly exchanged the old battery for a new one. I was on this side of town a while ago and needed to buy some filters. Another auto zone was out of stock on the ones I needed and sent me to this location but I guess they didn't have it either but Deric the manager I think helped me out and found a place a lot closer to where I live that had the item so I didn't need to continue driving further He was very kind and had a great attitude about the whole thing, even helping me figure out some other problems I had with my car at the time, and seemed genuinely happy to help customers. read more

Stopped in tonight to grab what we needed to change the oil and air filters in 2 of our vehicles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We couldn't located an item they said should be in stock so 3 of the employees ended up helping us and it was found. They checked all over even in the back. During checkout the clerk explained their rewards program to us (which was the first time we were told about it - have shopped at different stores for years), we obviously signed up and are looking forward to the perks since we do a lot of our own car maintenance work. I walked in yesterday 02/22/2025 to buy a new exhaust for my truck. While doing so I recognized a couple employees there, Derrek and David, that I've seen in the past so I started conversation with them. While telling the two men a story I was rudely interrupted by a female manager named Kyra. She began saying things like "you don't know s***", "you're not hard", and having an overall threatening tone with me. While continued calling me names like B**ch and the n-word I just laughed it off, paid for my exhaust, and left. So long as I know Kyra's in store I do not feel comfortable shopping at this location. read more

My husband's car wouldn't start so we got it jumped and took it to AutoZone in Surprise, AZ. They were open until 9pm on a Sunday and had his exact type of battery in stock. The guy on the phone was super nice and compassionate. He made sure to check first to make sure they had it before we drove there. They saw us right away and changed the battery in 10 min. Now the car works perfectly. And they were the cheapest out of everyone. I will always go to this AutoZone from now on for everything for my car! read more

I've been having issues with my car battery and decided to walk into AutoZone to see if they could help. My battery is under warranty, but the battery wasn't the issue... it just wasn't tight enough I guess. Easy fix! The gentleman fixed it within 5 minutes I was in and out of there! My check engine light came on in my car & after having a small panic attack I called my dad. He told me that the light could mean a wide variety of things & that if I took it to AutoZone they would use a scan tool for free that will give me the specifics of what is wrong. I did as my dad suggested. The AutoZone employee used the scan tool & then gave me a print out with the specifics. I can't even begin to tell you how helpful this was! I would have given 5 stars, but the customer service was a bit lacking. When I arrived I was the ONLY customer. There was an employee about 3 feet away from me stocking shelves. He didn't even acknowledge my presence. 2 people came into the store shortly after & then the 'stocking' guy yelled to someone in the back, who begrudgingly started walking towards us. At that moment the phone rang & the guy walking towards us said in a very loud sarcastic voice "I GUESS I'LL ANSWER THE PHONE!" & so there I stood, still waiting. A bit later another employee came out from the back. He was actually very friendly, cordial & professional. I wish I remembered his name! Will never go here again. I went into the store after Doing research and felt comfortable enough in knowing what I was asking for. The first person I encountered copped a total attitude saying "I have no idea what you're talking about. I can't help you." Um hey how about you turn your arse around and type it into the damn computer?! I'm telling you the name of the part! Then another person came along to help which after feeling as though I've now been ganged up on, being treated like a total dumb ass, he finally looked up the part on the computer. Oh look at that its listed THE SAME AS I WAS CALLING IT BY. -____- I gave two stars simply because we did find the part and how much it will run me and he did go check the part out in my car to be sure I would order the correct part. I too would give them a zero. I showed up several minutes before closing, yet when they saw me pull up and get out of my car and walk toward the door, it was then they hustled to lock the door. I called at 8:58 and asked if they normally close before their posted closing time. The guy said, Yeah we are counting the safe." So I asked again for clarity that they do indeed close before it states they actually close. He repeated his, "Uh yeah we are counting the safe." I have never had a problem with this Autozone until tonight. All I needed was two minutes to buy a new light bulb and I would have been out before closing. Pathetic service on 2-9-19. I would give zero stars but it doesn't let me. This AutoZone not only doesn't answer the phone and when they do they hang up on you they aren't very helpful. We came in because we bought a battery from Autozone a year ago and when we had it tested at the dealership multiple times it failed. We came in to make them honor the warranty and get the battery replaced and the lady - Samantha - who tested the battery said it was the alternator and that the car could break down at anytime. Instead of offering to assist or solutions that's what we got. It would be good if AutoZone treated its customers with respect and honored their obligations and warranties. read more

So Wednesday night my car wouldn't start. I was praying it was just the battery and wasn't too worried as I had purchased it from AutoZone and it was still under warranty so took it in to be charged and tested. They said they needed an hour so returned and was told it was charged and tested good. Great so probably the alternator or something draining the battery and my 2002 high mileage vehicle doesn't justify costly repairs so I guess I have to buy and different car and quickly. The next am of course the battery is drained so get it back over to AutoZone again to get it charged while I go car shopping and hope I can drive the vehicle to dealership for trade in. The same people where there both days and when we returned, AFTER I JUST BOUGHT A CAR, the battery had not been tested so they tested it and guess what???? IT WAS BAD! Guess I didn't need to buy a car after all but God works how He works so I am trying not to be too annoyed. Moral of this story: Have them test your battery right in front of you!!! PS AutoZone in Surprise. Did you know you offer free diagnostics on things like alternators? You really should offer your customers your services if you wish to keep customers because I will not be purchasing anything from you again. read more
