Went in first thing in the morning. The lady who greeted me redefined what amazing customer service is. As she was working on resupplying some shelves, she greeted me as I walked in. I already had in mind of what I was looking for, but totally forgot the part number for the oil filter. Not only did she give me the number, but she told me she would go get it as well! Andrew was amazing. Naturally when something is wrong with our cars it's a big stress. My car was starting but was hard to start. I wasn't sure what was going I thought it was the spark plus. Anyway I went into autozone and Andrew took care of me.. we took some little machine and tested my car turned out it was my alternator. I bought a new one and went to the shop to get it fixed. That way all I had to pay was the labor for at the shop. So anyway when I went back in to give them my old part, and came back out to my car to re-test everything. Went looking for a Truck Battery at 7:30pm both employees in the store were helpful and very informative. After locating the proper battery and taking it to the counter the gentleman states and the warranty information and also informs me that if I bring the other battery back they would take $18 off the total price of the purchase, I'm like great I'll be right back with it. Then I thought they never told me that at the Anaheim Street location when I purchased another battery about 10 months ago so, I brought that one back also and they took it and refunded me another $18. I had an issue with my battery the night before. Basically it wouldn't start. I spoke with Melissa and she was incredibly helpful. She tested my battery even though she knew it was the corrosion and battery acid leaking that was blocking my perfectly good battery from connecting. She gave me a 10$ kit that would fix my problem and help prevent anymore corrosion as well as clear instructions to take care of it. Such wonderful customer service! Irma, another employee, was helpful too, as I needed to flush with water but didn't have any and she got me some. Anyways, these two helped turn my stressful situation completely around. I'm disgusted by the attitudes of the employees working at this location. My Mom (who is disabled) needed her battery replaced, so she called PRIOR to going and asked if they were able to remove the battery for her and was told yes. Initially she was told they needed to charge the battery first to check it before a replacement could be given, she agreed. When she arrived the ever-so-rude manager Irma starts talking crazy telling her "they don't remove batteries and they don't have to replace anything if they don't want". I arrived about 10 minutes after my Mom, so I was confused as to why Autozone wouldn't replace a battery purchased from them, still under warranty and they had to charge twice. After Irma used some machine on the battery, she just walked off into the store WITHOUT saying what was going on. I went inside to ask what is happening and she shouts to me "go back outside, he's coming out (other rude rep) and I wasn't helping you anyway". There were several other customers who witnessed our exchange, and yes I told her she had no right to speak to me that way. I went back outside, then the other guy Ralph comes outside and instantly starts talking wild to me. He stated that "people who are asking for help should be nicer" and when I asked him what did that mean he replied with "the people who work at Target make more than me and he doesn't get paid enough to exchange the battery". At that point I asked him if he would like me to pay him or call my tow service to replace the battery? He replied and said "i don't need you to pay anything, I just need you to BE QUIET". I have NEVER had someone be so NASTY and RUDE when I did NOTHING to him. This was not meant to play victim, but to make sure the correct person read it. read more

These guys deserve 10 stars for their service. My car battery died about 5 blocks away so I walked there and the guy told me that we need to test the battery first because once it goes in, no refund. So he drives me to my car, tests the battery (it was dead), drives me back to AutoZone for the new battery, then drives me back a second time and installs the battery for me and my car was up and running again. I even bought a battery here once and they removed my old one and put the new one in for me right in the parking lot (and they've done that with windshield wipers too!). Definitely cool when you're stopping in to a store first thing on a Sunday morning. I needed throttlebody cleaner and they were out but they found another brand that could be used for throttlebody cleaner as well and it was listed on the can. Only thing I said was "I'm surprised that you don't do refunds and resell the product because I see taped up products for resale. So how come you won't do the same for me?" This place is a joke. I bought a motorcycle battery 5 months ago and it already failed, so I brought the battery in last night to have them charge the battery to confirm the battery failure. When I got there today the associate told me the battery was dead and the warranty was expired. AFTER 5 MONTHS. Then when I asked for a receipt so that I could have proof of purchase and talk directly with the battery manufacturer/corporate, the lazy manager just said "nope". No interest in resolving the issue, just a blank stare. Walmart - $60 with a 60 day buy back and 18 month warranty Batterysharks - $50 with a 6 month warranty Batteries direct - $70 with a 1 year warranty Autozone - $105 + $10 core and tax. Free with all purchases: No guarantee on their product, an almost useless warranty and terrible customer service. NO THANKS Just another reason why autozones are eventually going to go extinct and why I will continue to buy my parts online at half the price with a product guarantee. read more

I was impressed how quick and painless my trip was to Auto Zone. Knowing that my car needed a new battery when my car barely started tonight right after work, I headed straight over here as recommended by my friend. I was greeted right away by a friendly staff Victor and helped me with a selection of car batteries. For $149, the battery came with a 5 year warranty, installment and even adding a few pieces to help the connectors last. I was very lucky the place wasn't busy at that time and altogether was done in less than 15 minutes, from purchasing to reinstalling. I was very impressed! Unfortunately that day has come...I had a terrible experience with an employee named Nick. I purchased synthetic oil just last night and needed to return it because I had purchased the wrong one. He twisted the caps to check if they were open and practically twisted them all open and rejected 2 of them. Not only were "they"(STORE MANAGER CARLOS) not willing to help they told us that it would take too long to help, so we have to go to another location! Nick has been very friendly and helpful every time I have been to this location. I went in with a battery that wouldn't hold a charge. After testing it we thought it was salvageable but after he kept it on their charger for hours we figured out it was a dead dud. So he helped me pick out a new battery that would fit my budget and even helped me swap it out. When my windshield wipers went array Nick was helpful than too.
