Then I was informed by Lynette my battery had died. They were very helpful and nice as they looked up the warranty information for me and got me a replacement. Bought a low-beam headlight from here and a week later it stops working. I take my car to the mechanic's because I thought it was a problem with the wiring, but turns out the bulb just went out. I returned to the shop and asked if I can get it replaced and they said that the bulb has no warranty and told me that I had to pay for a new one. Very annoying to have to pay for a product that was faulty from the start and then having them refuse to replace it. read more

Ok...so I called and spoke with Nick who said they had wiper blades for my car, but when I got there he had gone home and it turns out they didn't have them. He told me that he would put them aside for me but the peole there were unable to find said wiper blades. BUT in their defense the manager checked for me and they did have them at the store not too far away and proceeded to give me directions, I appreciated that but I'm GPS dependent. Rushed in needing a car battery after a long day at work, a flat tire, low pressure in the spare, and exhauated. You get the vibe I'm throwing off. Anywayyyyy... the manager and Victor were professional, patient, and saw that everything was taken care of. After receiving AWFUL customer service from the Wal-Mart Auto Center at the Long Beach Town Center this morning, it was refreshing to run into helpful associates at the Auto Zone. I needed a new battery for my car. While Wal-Mart was overly worried about liability issues (my hood is damaged but fastened with a rope), the associates at AutoZone were more than willing to help install the battery and secure my engine hood. Last time I came to AutoZone I received the same friendly service. If you have to wait for service (like getting your battery recharged), there's Coffee Bean around the corner while you wait. read more

They have many items, but are missing a lot. Most things I need from there have yo be ordered, payed for on advance, and they get the wrong parts too often. The knowledge just isn't there. Some employees are nothing more than cashiers. And the moral is lacking, as each store bad mouths the other. If it's anything technical go to Napa. I just left AutoZone to get a new headlight bulb. I've change one before myself for another car, figure I can do it again. The instructions were not in the glove department, but once again Bruce (manager?) came to my rescue! Just a couple days ago I went to buy a new windshield wiper and without even asking Bruce offered to change it for me! This time he seen me struggling to replace bulb and offered again. I just called to ask what types of glass repair kits they have in the store. The lady who answered the phone said that they had some and to come in to see. I replied that i wanted to know which brands they carried to research the reviews to find the best one to purchase. She then put me on hold for over 10 minutes and I finally gave up and hung up. Either she needs that long to simply find the answer or was busy. I dont understand why an employee simply can't just say "sorry we're very busy right now, can you call back in 10 minutes?" I have been looking for an air filter for my car and seems every place didn't carry my size or were out of stock. I stopped in and was excited to see they had one. I stood in line and when I was rang up it showed a price over three times what it should have been. The parts manager was my cashier and realized he never cleared the previous transaction. He started over and it rang up again $2 more than the shelf price. I questioned it and he typed in the computer and said no that was the correct price. Thinking I may have looked at the wrong shelf price I paid. But before I left I went and checked and I was correct . I then told him that if he was going to charge more he should change the price on the shelf. He then decided to look and agree he over charged me and refunded the difference. So check your prices and make sure they charge you correctly read more

The first set didn't work, so she found some that fit. I'm 8 months pregnant and it is 100 degrees outside; she had me wait in the air conditioning while she took care of everything. Worst customer service I've ever received. I went in because my check engine light was on. I asked if they had a code scanner. The guy handed it to me and I asked if someone could help as I've never done it before. He told me it was against the law for employees to hook it up. There were other employees who backed him up and just stared at me. I had a customer offer to help me, he even referred me to a great mechanic. Auto zone was my go to place for my car needs.. not anymore. This is the first time I've been denied this help at Auto Zone. The employees at this location are very unkind. Ed, the store associate, assisted me during my visit to the store. I went to AutoZone because my brake light wasn't working. He located the correct part and bulb grease and he even installed the bulb for me!!!! He went above and beyond to put the bulb in for me. I was very impressed with these guys. I pay particular attention to customer service and they knocked it out of the park at this place. I had to run in for something, they greeted me when I came in, came from behind the counter to find out if I needed help, showed me a few different varieties of what I needed and which one would be the best for me as well as the best price, and then asked me to pay for it inside as the gentleman walked outside and installed it on my truck. It seams like this store always has a lot of employees that don't mind asking another employee if they don't know the answer.
