It was a wonderful change of pace from many of the auto parts stores that I have been to in the past. The guys working there called me over and asked what I needed and then helped me find it in about 3 seconds. I had needed a replacement bulb for the cyclops brake light on my SUV. Its a quick fix, but without it, well the cops don't want you driving around so much. So yeah it easy efficient and a pleasure to come here. =) I don't often feel like a wanted customer, but I did here. Told me my alternator was bad after they did a test sold me a rebuilt one which I installed after which my car wouldn't start so I had to tow it to my mechanic which told me it was defective and would hold a charge and that it was actually my battery that was bad also that my original alternator was good. What do you do when you need a new battery and have enough charge to get to an auto supply company? GO TO THE PEP BOYS ACROSS THE STREET! Alas, Pep Boys was closed and it was this AutoZone or .... call AAA for another battery jump. The guys behind the counter had no idea what would fit my car and we ended up purchasing and returning two batteries before the third fit and worked. The worst part? It was dark outside and they didn't offer to give us a flash light or even help us install. Rude customer service and unhelpful. read more

I had an appointment to add freon to my Jeep at Pep Boys for 11 a.m. I waited and waited... finally huffed and puffed until someone asked if I had been helped, it was 11:35 a.m. The repair guy finally said, "Someone will be with you in a minute." I said, "That's what you said 20 minutes ago." "We're really busy," he replied. "We only have two guys working today." "Then you must be too busy to keep your appointments?" I retorted. After another 10 minutes, a cashier clerk noted I had not yet been helped and eagerly sought a manager but by this time I decided if they couldn't get it together enough to keep their appointment time with me, Pep Boys should not work on my car. Frustrated that I had wasted my time. I got into my Jeep and headed to AutoZone to see what they said about adding freon to my car. Jesus Alverez dropped what he was doing to help assist me. He looked up my make, model, what the system was like and how much freon I would need. Still I was nervous about adding it alone. Jesus showed me exactly what to do and helped me with the whole process all in less time than what was wasted at Pep Boys and I saved $150 plus an entire day waiting on my car in a room that smells like tires. And my A/C blows cooler air again. Thank you Jesus, you made my day. I hope AutoZone realizes how lucky they are to have an amazing employee who offers stellar customer service and car knowledge. Jose did such a great job educating me about my dead battery because I needed to drive to Brea to pick up the batteries that I needed. I thought I had a dead battery but apparently I had a bad battery that could hold a charge and my car system wasn't able to read a battery. Jose taught me that I needed to put it in 1500 RPM in order to for the car to read. read more

I needed a new battery so i stopped in at auto zone today..i spoke to manger Jesse, asking if they could also put the battery in for me...not only did Jesse put the battery i purchased in for me, but my cable running from fuse box to battery was was very frayed and I feared it wouldn't last the day, he also clipped fray and fixed while installing the battery :) I got a 2 year battery and a good price and Jesse (the mgr) went above the norm to make sure battery and cable running from fuse box was installed correctly..and no charge for installation on battery or cable running from fuse box :) Thanks auto zone and Jesse :) read more

I went into this particular AutoZone on Father's day evening. I needed several light bulbs changed for my Mercedes Sprinter van. Jessie went outside and looked at all the bulbs and he actually took time to help me change all the bulbs that were currently not working. I went into Auto Zone for a little help, I couldn't figure out how to change my windshield wipers. The manager helped me find the right ones, he gave me the option to purchase ones from the lowest price ones to the highest one and every thing in between. He then installed them for me. I tried to give him a few dollars to buy a soda for installing them for me. He refused to take a cent. I have been there a few more time since then. I took my daughter's starter in for testing. They told me I needed a new starter. I've worked on cars since 1972 and know what should happen when testing. Everything looked fine to me. Another store tested it 5 times and said "You're starter is fine." I guess this store just wanted to make a few bucks instead of solving the problem, which was a dead battery. read more

I've been to this autozone about eighty times and everytime they disappoint me. This specific time I was told even though I finally have a reward that because I didn't have my rewards card I wouldn't be able to use it. That's bullshit, you guys should be able to have a system that shows when your loyal customers have rewards! Other times I've gone in the employees have been not educated what so ever on any products and my phone usually outsmarts them. As much as I could have really used all the stuff I was ready to buy today I'm not going to continue to let this autozone treat me like shit and have complete blatant disregard for my business. I don't really care if any of my complaint is apart of your stores policies; learn what customer service is or don't bother to run a business at all.
