During hot days, this WAS our go-to place for a PRICEY yet satisfying refreshing frozen yogurt. I see some of the comments here about it having friendly staff. That wasn't our experience. The two girls were "huddled" together in conversation as we walked in. The day was really hot so I had gotten the biggest size cup for myself. Well, something was wrong with chocolate flavor machine as it came out extremely soft like water. My wife showed me hers and her flavor was coming out watery too. I nicely went over to the two huddled girls and said "I'm going to leave this with you, the chocolate machine is not working. It's coming out like water". Instead of saying, oh sorry about that, go ahead and pick another machine, she tells me "you still have to pay for it, the machine is doing that because of how hot is outside"! WTF?! What does the weather outside have to do with functioning machines inside. We wanted "frozen yogurt" not a drink! I said, oh HELL NO I'm not going to pay for watery yogurt!" and told my wife let's go, we're leaving. . Terrible service, and should be reported to the owner of this establishment. Sauce toppings included the basic chocolate and caramel, but have marshmallow and even peanut butter. When tasting, the handle didn't go all the way back up and yogurt continued to dispense for 3 seconds. The manager then comes over and barks that I had to pay for the yogurt that spilled out and even had the nerve to tell me we could eat it. I told her that was outrageous considering my hands were mite than full and the fault was on her shady machine. Went into Avalanche Yogurt on Oliver in Fairfield, the person I went with had a service animal. As soon as we walked in an employee ran and stopped us, we explained it was a service animal. He unfortunately kicked us out anyways. We did ask for a managers number, after showing him the laws. He gave us the number and totally dismissed us. We called the manager Sandy. When she called back she was rude and told us that she agreed with the worker there, and we asked her to look into the law which she refused to do. She mocked us and told us to have the ada call her. She explained that they only allow seeing eye dogs, and dogs for the deaf. They had no issue discriminating against a disabled person. And humiliating the person in the process of it. Sandy said for us to go ahead and share because she didn't care; so hoping to shed some light on the treatment we experienced. Also if anyone knows how to reach an owner so we can let them know what is happening in their establishment, that would be great. Have recordings, if owners want. My daughter loves it here! It's our go to for froyo. They have a good selection of flavors. My favorites have been the Original Tart and Raspberry Pomegranate Sorbet. My daughter likes the chocolate-vanilla swirl and all the toppings! They do have a great assortment of toppings. We especially love the pop-able boba. Lately they've had lychee, mango and strawberry flavored boba. Due to the pandemic, they do require that we wear gloves (which they provide) to serve ourselves. They also can serve us if you don't feel like wearing gloves. They also have a hand sanitizer dispenser near the gloves. I love that they require this; definitely a great way to curb the spread of germs whilst still enjoying the froyo experience. Each time we've visited, all of the employees have been very friendly. Not to mention, their prices seem super fair. Just today, we got a kid size and a regular size froyo. With a generous amount of yogurt and toppings in both for less than $11. I was SHOCKED to say the least. I was honestly expecting it to be like $20... HAHA! Love this place and we will continue visiting this location. Thanks for the great service! I've been meaning on coming to avalanche yogurt for some time now, it was about time, I pass by everyday! Parking was easy and the place didn't seem to busy. I was helped by an older lady that was super friendly. They had many flavors, reading some of these reviews, I was only expecting around 4 but there was at least 10. I ended up getting the original tart, strawberry tart, pecan praline, and vanilla. All were awesome flavored and toppings were fantastic. Both dry and wet toppings! I think it's something like $0.55 cents an oz. Kind of cool but they subtract the weight of the cup. I'll come back soon, but I hope they're able to rotate flavors! read more

Showed up right at opening so the frozen yogurt wasn't quite ready yet? Idk. But it was very runny. One of the machines was not on, which limited the flavors even more. Love the toppings, it's the only plus to this place. It was pretty dirty and the machines smelled of being wiped down with a stinky rag (we all know that smell, right?). The employee sat in the back the whole time, except once we needed to pay. We went to have yogurt with my family. My 6 yr old had 1 of the small tasting cups. He reached over and tried another flavor with the same cup. It never touched the dispenser, just filled his tasting cup. The manager/owner ran over and scolded my son, saying that he was infecting the dispenser by doing that. My son just froze.... Never again!! Why, because the last time, same older lady, gave me 2 tasting cups, that I gave to one of my kids. I then came back for my 2 and she said only 2 tasting cups per customer, so I asked for my son's "2 tasting cups". She rolled her eyes and handed me the 2. So, if you want to sample some frozen yogurt, make sure you choose wisely! You can only sample 2 and can't not try a diff flavor withthe same cup, or you'll get scolded by the manager/owner! read more

Walked in with two elderly ladies, and we saw the girl in the back on her phone. We were not greeted. We helped ourselves to yogurt and proceeded to pay. One of the elderly lady's walker became stuck with gummy worms that were all over the floor. The other elderly lady was picking up gummy worms with napkins off the floor as the employee just stared at her. It was extremely awkward, and the place overall was kinda dirty. The inside is very spacious and there is a variety of well stocked toppings (including fresh fruits and more decadent cheesecake bites). Both of my visits I've gotten the nonfat Country Vanilla flavor and enjoy it. I will agree with other reviewers who say that the fro-yo melts pretty fast. Perhaps a slight drop in temperature is in order? I got strawberry, mango, kiwi and a few chocolate covered pretzels for my fro-yo. Fresh and refreshing, nice. The guy behind the counter was the same both times and greeted us upon our entering. The place is kept very clean as other reviews also stated. I have been going to this place off and on for awhile. Although the yogurt is good, and they offer a variety of flavors, the reason that I give them 1 star is because of the lack of knowledge that the employees have regarding what they serve. The last time I was here I asked what ingredient was used for their no sugar added yogurt. The lady said that she did not know, but assured me that they use "all natural" ingredients. Today I posed they same question to another worker, and was told that she did not know what was used. She texted the question to the owner and he never responded back. I asked if they had a binder of ingredients anywhere in the store for customers and the answer was no. This just does not cut it for me. Consumers should know exactly what we are eating. It is my hope that the owner reads this and one not only educate his staff on the yogurt, but also make that ingredient information available to customers. read more
