Food is great, the food is fancy and was served fast, service, they were very kind. Ambiance was good.

This is a staple from my college days. Still tastes the same. Only change is prices have gone up. A lot. Explains the empty dining room. Will still get off 55 and grab some grilled cheese or ravioli anyway. Dining room service was fine. Place was clean. Gave my teenage son my CC to order some grilled cheese to go too. Maybe you did it on purpose, maybe he's just a hormonal teen, but I asked for 5 and he ordered 15 from the "2 baddies" working the carry out side. Smart play, Avanti's. Touché.

The Famous Gondola. All Bread no Fillings.
    Average Joe ..

The job I was working on brought the crew in some "Famous Gondola's" for lunch. Avanti's describes the Gondola as a sub sandwich made with fresh baked bread and delicious meats and cheese. I have no clue what all the hype is. If you read through the reviews you will see much of the praise goes to the bread. Well, if you like bread then the Gondola is for you. In fact, that is all that it is. Bread. The delicious meats and cheese taste exactly like what you can find labeled Oscar Mayer in any grocery store. You get one flat layer of Ham, one flat layer of Salami, one flat layer of American cheese, and some lettuce. Take away the lettuce and there are about 3/16" of fillings in this sandwich. Trust me, you will never complain about the amount of meat/veggies that Subway, Jimmy John's, or the Gas Station Sandwich you grab out of the case once you get a Gondola from Avanti's.

    "Pizza Burger"

This place is really bad. Ordered a pizza burger which is apparently just a meatball sub that has been submerged in quite possibly the worst red sauce known to man. Completely inedible; total waste of money. If I could give negative stars I would.

    Fried ravioli

Disappointed in the food quality. I remember the pepperoni pizza bread to be a gooey, cheesy, pepperoni filled goodness that warmed the soul. Tonight it was hardly any cheese, small pepperonis and on burnt/ tasteless bread. My boyfriend got the sausage/italian beef combo sandwich and the sandwich was dry, the sausage was pink, and he had to add pizza sauce and ranch because there was 0 flavor. Why no au jus? I also got the fried raviolis. They were way overcooked and hard around the edges! I had talked Avanti's up so it was disappointed that it wasn't up to par.

When I walked in, I was the only one in line so my order was placed right away. The service was good on this visit. Everyone was very friendly and they worked quickly to make my sandwich. I ordered the Grilled Chicken & Cheese. It was nothing fantastic, but it was good like I expected. I wouldn't consider these gourmet sandwiches, but I've always liked what I ordered and the pricing is pretty moderate at a little over $5 for a sandwich. This is a good option for a quick lunch.

What I had when I got home was a sandwich with cheddar cheese and three very tiny slices of mushrooms. I was shocked. I was in for the night and figured lesson learned.....I will never go to PotBelly again. The person who made the sandwich was nice but either was lazy or got off on incompetence. It's a sandwich, not the end of the world but I'll be darned if they will ever get another red hot cent of my money. Worst sandwich ever. Took a bite of it and straight in the garbage. Tough bread as well (which I never had before). This sandwich was my go to sandwich so I know they can and do make it. Never again. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I finally got to go check out Dave's Hot Chicken in Bloomington! This is some of the freshest hot…read morechicken I've ever had. First of all, their chicken strips are NOT small, so be prepared. When you order a slider, don't think you're getting some tiny sandwich--this thing is full-size and loaded. The kale slaw adds the perfect amount of flavor and crunch, especially when paired with Dave's sauce... such a good combo. The fries are also fantastic--almost perfect. I personally like mine just a little crispier, but the seasoning on them is so good it doesn't exactly matter lol And yes... we're talking about the pickles too. Perfect pickles. They add that extra bite and flavor that pushes the sandwich right over the edge to perfection. Oh and I almost forgot to mention my son wanted to try the macaroni and cheese so bad that he went up there and ordered a side of it, we all shared it. It was good, the noodles tasted just a little bit well done, and it smelled like velveeta. This place definitely gets crowded, but for good reason--it's a hot, popular spot and people know their chicken is fresh and amazing. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and I absolutely love the graffiti artwork on the walls. The bright, bold colors are so inviting, it almost makes you want to come inside before you even smell the food. If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and get over here and check it out. It's great!
