Y'all cut the avocado and see its nasty and still serve it?

Yall charge 12$ for a bagel with spoiled avocado? Y'all see this and decide it's okay to give to a customer? Nasty, shame on the cooks for serving this trash. when you cut the avocado you can see it was spoiled and yet served it, strange behavior

Their bagels are huge!!! They were amazing, I didn't even get a chance to take pictures of the other bagels because they were eaten so quickly. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice which is amazing. There's ton of seating and their service is pretty quick.

I guess there's new owners? The staff seemed a bit disoriented so be patient with them. Service was not great, had to repeat my order multiple times and they still messed it up. Pretty bummed but took the food anyways because didnt want it to go to waste. Their prices are a little high too but I'll just chalk it up to inflation. Food was solid and their bagels and croissants were delicious. We ordered: - Sausage and Avacado Breakfast Sandwich - Main Street Breakfast Sandwich (my fav!) - Popeye Omlette (pretty standard, comes with any bagel choice) - Carrot, Orange, Beet juice

My Nova Lox $11.50 was perfect! I chose the plain bagel with no regrets. Their bagel was SOFT, firm, and just overall one of the best bagels I've ever had. I regretted not taking a bunch of bagels home! The wild salmon and accompanying ingredients tasted very fresh. It was a great pick me up in the morning. Took a while to make the sandwich as I'm sure they get quite a few orders, but it was worth the wait. Looking forward to have some more bagels from them! They keep their shop clean. Can't comment on their drinks or other baked goods.

Our coffee was great here. I didn't try anything else, but the Vietnamese coffee was solid. Prices are fair and our drinks were made to order quickly. Nice option for the area.

Was shocked by how much I enjoyed my hybrid croissant bagel. Number 12. Ham, bacon, egg, cheese. Each bite was good, especially that bagel croissant with their melty cheesy sauce, something along that line. What I would have liked was if the egg was prepared better. Even though its alright, cooking it from a microwave will have it tasting not the best. But regardless was pretty nice meal.

First of all the line is out the door and it takes about 30 minutes to order your coffee. There aren't any menus throughout along the way and it's really hard to determine what is actually on their menu until you get inside of the coffee shop because most of their drinks on Yelp and Instagram are seasonal. When I was finally able to order, I ordered two different coffees because I wasn't sure what I was going to like given the coffee shop states all of their syrups are made in house. I think that's why the coffee didn't have any flavor and I didn't like it. The staff was nice enough to remake my drink, but even the second drink tasted like it didn't have any syrup in it and tasted like a regular latte. There is very limited seating inside of the coffee shop, merch is $30+ and you should be prepared for long waits.

Stopped by here exploring San Juan Capistrano area en route to SD for Memorial day wknd. Just walked around the alley and saw a strip of cool old craftsman style homes converted to restaurants. It's on me that I didn't realize it was pre-fixe at $48/person on the weekends. So our party of 5 was outrageously expensive considering the fact that we ended up with way too much food and most of it was meh. For course 1, we got the beet and burrata salad, hush puppies, "salmon lox," beignets, and coffee cake. We could have been done after and would have had 1/2 the food leftover. The salmon lox was mild in taste, but nice. The beet salad was delicious, but would have been better with goat cheese. Hush puppies were good, but SO HEAVY. My kids had the beignets and coffee cake, which were served with a lot of syrup/sauce. Neither dish was finished and they were also SO HEAVY. For 2nd plates, we had the beef stew, flannel hash, crab hash, and 2 orders of the mac and cheese with duck confit and truffles. The flannel hash was outstanding. Everything else was meh. The beef stew was good, but the potatoes were unnecessary and there were bites of blue cheese that were disproportionately strong. The crab hash was not good even after adding salt and pepper. The egg portion of the dish was bad. The sweet potato crispies were overwhelming and ridiculous. And the large crab cakes were just totally lacking in flavor. The mac and cheese was also meh although it did reheat better the next day. But the portion of duck confit was light and I ended up with a large bone in my mouth when I had it as leftovers. I do not believe there were any truffles or even truffle oil in this dish, just mushrooms. In short, I would never go again on the weekend and would not even seek this place out on the weekdays. I wonder if the chef changed because the food was just so mediocre compared to before. The portions are very large so if that is of interest, they have that in spades. And the flannel hash was outstanding. So if you find yourself here, definitely order that. I hope a revamp is done on the food. If so, I would come again as the patio is absolutely lovely.

That's because my daughter was treating me for my birthday and had thoroughly researched the loveliest tea house she could find in the area. And it was, except for the bees. Beware being sent to the back patio area, instead of the enclosed patio area, if you have a phobia or allergy to bees. There was a singular citronella candle right by us, so we only had to shoo them away 5 or 6 times. A waiter had also suggested we avoid ordering honey, as it attract bees. Maybe that's why we saw other diners being relentlessly attacked, muffling shrieks, trying to maintain a calm conversation while several bees crawled over their jam and china. I heard a man beside me say that he was afraid of knocking over his tea pot with all the swatting he was doing. That was the opposite of what you come to a tea house for and the owner or owners really need to address it. Other than all that ... the actual afternoon tea we were served was great. We ordered the Mission Tea: scone, soup or salad, finger sandwiches and dessert. We are tea aficionados, so we have high expectations, and they know what they are doing. The teas themselves were smooth and flavorful. My daughter ordered a rose tea and I ordered a strawberry kiwi. We both felt they were giving candle - but in a smooth, aromatic, non offensive way. My daughter likes her tiers and was a little sad and surprised that we weren't served our tea on one. Certainly would have made service faster, to not need our courses served one after another. It didn't help that we felt a bit forgotten at times. Despite there being open tables inside where there was screening, we had been sent to the very last table in the outdoors. Amongst several empty tables there was a large party already there. Two other women showed up who pointed at us to be served before them, but the waiter waved them off. But, we enjoyed our conversation so much, it was okay to wait until another waiter finally came to serve us. Eventually, as it got closer to closing, the patio filled up - with people, attracting more and more bees. Cute, cute place - even the bathroom was beautifully appointed and clean with pretty wallpaper and classy gold fixtures. Unfortunately, my daughter wasn't in there alone. To her chagrin, a buzzing little critter apparently had to go as well.
