The eggs were perfectly cooked and I loved the corn. The black garlic ramen ($19) had a strong garlic flavor without being overwhelming. The pork wasn't overly fatty. Both ramens came out lukewarm and took nearly 40min after ordering for them to be served (30 min after the calamari was served) which felt like a long time especially at 5pm on a Sunday with only a few tables seated. Would recommend the calamari, it tasted fresh, but was a very small serving for $8. The ambiance is cute, but very dark, so it was difficult to see what I was eating. We were sat by the window.

His was much sweeter and I was very happy with mine. They weren't served in traditional sake cups, just in regular wine glasses but this was good with me as they were a normal sized wine pour. They had a special for Bluefin Tuna. We shared the Nigiri trio by cutting each piece in half. My favorites were the two fattier cuts ( otoro, and chutoro ) I remember at this point we wished we had ordered another appetizer since the restaurant was busy and our main sushi rolls took a bit of time to arrive. We decided next time we would at least get the edamame in between plates. The rolls we ordered were the Ponzu Jello and Riverwest. The Riverwest description listed a smoky miso mayo which I did not notice a different from regular flavored mayo on a roll. The Ponzu Jello was unique and worth trying! The rolls were fat and very filling so we did not need to order more than two! I think we both agreed that the Riverwest roll was our favorite of the two. After that we noticed there was a special for some premium sake, so we ordered the G Joy. Very delicious, easy to drink and a perfect size to share. I will add this restaurant to my places to visit again!

We ordered bottles of mineral water. We don't really drink so this made the meal feel even more upscale and it went so well to cleanse the palate between courses. The food was phenomenal. I'm half Japanese. When I go to sushi places not near a coast, I usually don't get much raw aside from scallops and spicy tuna or salmon rolls. These hand rolls were absolutely fantastic. The seaweed wrappers had covers on them to slide off just before taking a bite so the wrappers stayed crispy. I would go back here just to order various hand rolls. The pad Thai was the best I've had. The noodles were perfectly cooked and smooth in my mouth with the light yet creamy sauce. When we arrived, Alex greeted us and opened the back for us to go through, so my mom didn't have to use the front steps. He also walked us to a table, made sure the table was stable, and held it for us as my mom sat down. He was very helpful, patient, and kind. He also walked us to the restroom and held the door. Our waitress, Becky, was also very nice and provided great service. We ordered the veggie gyoza appetizer, the veggie delight entree, Sumo pork buns, a Spider roll, and for dessert we shared the chocolate and green tea mochi. From the service to the food, everything was exceptional!
