We really like AYCE. It's the only Korean bbq we go to in the valley. All the meats are good and the sides too. No complaints.

My favorite server here is Bernal. He was very attentive and helpful with our small child. 10/10 highly recommend.

I gotta be thankful for this place in Van Nuys. It's nice to not have to drive to K-town for that Korean BBQ experience. AYCE offers the same fun experience that many of the K-town joints do including the cook your own meat at your table experience, as well as a lovey atmosphere that includes a whole room of pinball machines. A good Korean BBQ place offers the feeling of having a dinner party where you can spend a few hours just chilling out. The quality of meats and seafood I have had are pretty spot on as well. I went to AYCE yesterday with my boyfriend and cousins for lunch. There were six of us in total. Initially the service was good, but we began to notice that the service was getting slower and slower. We were well aware of the 2 hour limit and after eating the first hour we asked a server for another order. After a couple minutes we followed up with a different server and still nothing. Finally after waiting 30 minutes for 2 plates of meat we finished cooking and started to eat and the hostess had already brought our bill. The food was great don't get me wrong, but it was very annoying on our part that we had to flag down different people and placed our order multiple times. It felt like they didn't want to serve us at all towards the end when the restaurant wasn't busy. I don't think I'll be returning especially since we made an effort to visit this place since this location was near to our work. read more

I personally love Korean bbq, but there's just something about AYCE GOGI that just stands out. I love there food always taste fresh, and the waiters there are on point always, I have never complained on the food taking long. If I could give no stars I would, Ive come here several times and the service has never been this bad. Basically there for 2 hrs only get two orders of meats when we paid for all you can eat get one refill of a soda an hr later. Once we decided that we've had enough we go to the register let the waiter know how our experience is and let him know we want to pay and go. Instead of being apologetic he was extremely rude, got my boyfriends card swiped it and then threw the check and card and walked away. The food at AYCE, was pretty amazing. I specially loved their Kimchi fried rice. The service was on point and we didn't wait much to get our items. I would recommend coming in for an early dinner (before 7 pm), otherwise the place gets packed and you'll have to wait. The reason I'm not giving this place a 5 stars is pretty much because of their hostess on Friday night. When we first walked in (first time coming here) she was annoyed when we tried to give her the name /number of our party. She didn't talk to us and simply pointed to an Ipod so that we could put ourselves on the waitlist. Again, it was our first time here. I noticed she did the same to other customers. Came here on a Tuesday night and there was a reasonable 15 minute wait time. Overall a great AYCE KBBQ place with good variety of cuts of meats and entree options. My complaints and reasons for 3 stars are because of the inattentive servers: - My table was given dishes that we didn't order. This happened 3 times or more. - We had to wait 20 minutes for our order of meat, and it was obvious the server didn't input the order since he was so willing to "cancel" it when my table said we no longer want to wait - Loved the complementary small sample serving cup of yogurt, but they only brought enough for half my table. Americanized version of Korean bbq. Not only are the servers not Korean, it seems they only know 3 Korean words, banchan, kalbi and bulgogi. I had to keep reminding one of the Korean people I went with to speak English to them. They were very nice and helpful though. Sevral staff stopped by our table to see if we needed anything. It was hard to get their attention at the exact moment we needed them though. I wish they had the call button on the tables like other Korean places. The menu had no Hangul at all. The banchan was all on one plate instead of individual dishes like all the other Korean bbq places. However, I was very surprised at how good the meat was. It was soft and well seasoned. The other 2 people I went with who are both Korean agreed that the meat here was way better than the another more authentic Korean bbq place in the valley that we often go to. What this place lacks in regards to authenticity it makes up for with the taste of its meat. It's probably a good place for those that have never been to a Korean bbq place before. read more

This place is the closest Korean BBQ we have near our house and by default we frequent it often. Definitely not better than Ktown, but their all you can eat is a very good deal. Amazing ! My family and I went in January 2nd with a group of 14 people. Our server Sean went beyond serving us. The table was organized no ones order was mixed up and drinks were never empty. The food was amazing, place was clean and it had a welcoming environment. But their service was what won all of us over, when our meat was low he was come and check with us. Tried this place tonight for the first time because my wife and I were craving AYCE KBBQ but didn't feel like driving to K-town. This place is pretty good. Service was pretty good. Not all smokey like other KBBQ places we've been too. We had the brisket, spicy kalibi, spicy chicken, bulgogi and pork ribs. Everything was good except the brisket and pork ribs. Unfortunate because I love brisket. This is the first place I haven't liked it at. It's kind of dry and totally flavorless. The pork ribs take forever to cook and is just full of fat and bone, hardly any meat, pass on that. They give you a nice little cup of frozen yogurt at the end which is nice. Parking lot is huge so that's never an issue. Overall, not a bad place but not really worth the $22.95 they charge for dinner AYCE. Lunch AYCE is $17.95 if I remember the signage correctly. If you live in the area and don't feel like driving to K-town it's a close alternative. read more
