Bought a kitchen aid dishwasher, it stopped wrk soon after i purchased it ,when thru kitchen aid warranty, they have been out here 6 times ,u have to be home from 8 to 12 time iis valuable to me ,and today Saturday i mist my granddaughters first softball game to be here ,all day job .also it broke 2 days before Christmas and the got here 1-23-26 lots of hand dishes. I bought an oven from Lowe's, mildly expensive Forno one. Well, it showed up, in a nice, heavy duty crate, woohoo! Party time! Open the crate a week or so after it had been dropped off, due to kitchen renovation and whatnot. Open it, and the oven is wrecked. Multiple panels with 8"-12" dents, scratches on the glass, and half of the knobs had fallen off. My only guess is that this thing was dropped, and hard. Harder than when DJT fell on his head as a baby, and/or last week. We called, explained the situation, and they wanted to deny a return because it was outside the window. I assured them that they could see the damage to it, was not at all caused by us. Eventually they agreed to pick it up, but at a cost. Absolutely not. The next soonest they could send us a replacement "AT AN ADDITIONAL COST" was two weeks. So. Anyway. Let's talk about Aztec. After this debacle I needed a new oven. I called, spoke with Curtis and explained what I was looking for. He tossed out a few suggestions but as it turns out he had the slightly upgraded model and it was $400 LESS than Lowes. Oh yeah, so the delivery was $100, but the dudes dropped it off inside and that was that. I had the worst experience I never write reviews I do not want anyone to go through what I went through what a horrible experience I purchased a $10,000 plus appliance during their installation issues came up that prevented my appliance from being installed. Aztec's Customer service was horrible not returning calls not following up with the installation. I was left with hundreds of dollars extra to pay their installers due to their negligence. I have been a property manager for over 14 years. My rating for Aztec is basically for Sergio Gomez, delivery person, and then for fridges. Sergio Gomez is a disrespectful, unprofessional "asshole". He is belligerent, , talks over you And gives you an attitude (like a kindergartener). He left "occupied units" unlocked and wide open, even when occupants were not home. He was told "on writing" that the hinges for a fridge were on one side and he left it on the other, even when physically it would not make sense for the hinges to be were he left them. I specifically told Aztec I do not want Sergio on my property and they continue sending him. As for the fridges, I have got a few fridges that start failing within a year and when I call Aztec on it, they refer me to the manufacturer.... even when I dealt with Aztec...! We are remodeling our kitchen and initially went to Best Buy to buy a new refrigerator, cook top, and oven. Nothing was available for months. We come to Aztec Appliance on a whim and give this place a shot. We come in and are greeted by Marvin within one minute of walking though the door. We told Marvin what appliances we were in the market for and he directed us to the mid tier and high tier stuff since we mentioned a high tier brand for a refrigerator, and Marvin is the man. Our washing machine of 7 years broke and was not repairable. After reading Consumer Reports, we chose an LG top loader without an agitator. Then we searched for a locally owned store with good reviews and found Aztec Appliances. They were very helpful by phone and agreed to have it delivered the next day for an extra (reasonable) fee. The big box stores all said 2-3 weeks before delivery and added higher charges for "haul away" and "hook up". Our new washer arrived right on time (less than 24 hours after purchase) and 2 nice brothers removed the old one and hooked up the new one. It works great and we couldn't be happier. Quiet, large capacity and gets things clean. The whole process was seamless and when we need more appliances, we will shop at Aztec. read more

Ask for Kent! Kent helped me order my new wolf downdraft to replace my Thermador downdraft and he referred me to EC Installs and had the owner of EC Installs- Alan, personally come to my home to do the estimate and install. Kent has many different contacts in the industry and is very well connected and professional and patient on the phone. I enjoyed his expertise and advice. I also had a problem with a Thermador microwave, oven, warming tray combo unit from 2001. The microwave started to fail and he came up with replacement options and explained how I might have to do cabinetry changes. He said if we had to go that route he would put me in contact with the owner/ceo of a cabinetry company. I was impressed by that as that's beyond what he needed to do! Luckily, I was able to get the extremely hard to find discontinued parts and for now I don't need replacement appliances. But when I do, I will go to Kent again at Aztec to order. read more

Honestly, one of the worst shopping experiences we've had. We needed appliances for the whole house, instead of going to with a big box retailer I wanted to support local business, we picked Aztec because they had a good selection and they said they would have everything delivered and installed within 2 weeks. It's been over 10 weeks, we are still waiting on the rest of the appliances. Communication is painful with the staff, I can't get simple answers like ETAs or just for someone to call me back. They missed 3 deliveries, one without a notice, I had to call and they said they didn't come because the order was incomplete. The other 2 were cancelled a day or 2 before the delivery date. During the delivery they showed up but the dryer was damaged so they took it back and that was over a month ago, still no dryer and no sign when it will be delivered. I would not recommend them to anyone, especially not for a big order that would require delivery and installation. read more

Two years ago or so, we went to Aztec Appliance to check out the Speed Queen front loader washer and dryer set. The visit was educational (didn't have the money to purchase at the time) and I wanted to get a feel of the machines, understand the control panels, how the colors look in person and generally, decide if these were the ones for me. Kent greeted us at the door and answered all our questions, no pressure, and we took his card. It wouldn't be until this past week that we visited again to instead, buy the Speed Queen top loader; will be taking delivery in about a week. A mistake was made on the shipping address which I didn't catch until I got home but their receptionist Allison (shout-out!) addressed it minutes, emailing an updated invoice. I've also had to reschedule delivery on account of me being sick with the flu; the process was easy. Overall, the experience was positive. When we have the money, we'll work with Kent to buy the matching dryer. Thank you! read more

My dishwasher died... Who ever owned this townhouse before me did a bunch of $%#t repairs...every time something breaks it's always an issue because there is normally an issue because of one of these bad repairs. Today's issue is caused by the previous owner gluing thick tiles on top of the existing floor. It doesn't create an issue for anything else except the dishwasher, which is locked in place due to the tiles. Came here. Got a dishwasher. Everything is good on that front, but they needed to schedule a 3rd party installer due to my issue. Once again they seemed to want to force my install to be later. I couldn't hear both sides of the conversation, but it seems like maybe an earlier install was an option - but the sales guy kept saying give me a day after some date he kept saying. I would have happily paid extra for an emergency night or weekend appointment (since it was the holidays and not having a dishwasher was extra annoying). So here we are again. 4 stars. Don't get me wrong...I will be back, but I'm sure I'll be annoyed by perceived install delays then too. read more

I recently bought a new condo. I shopped around for appliances and decided I wanted to support a local independent rather than throw my business to a big box store, even tough the prices where a little higher. I ordered a entire suite. Fridge, dishwasher, microwave hood, range top, wall oven. I put a deposit down and the gratefully held them until I could take delivery. On the day of delivery, the contracted company who did delivery and install showed up late, then when they took my old refrigerator out they took no precautions to protect only flooring and dumped filthy bilge water all over my carpet. When I called aztec their initial comment was, that it was the 3rd party installers problem. Wow! Not to me. They represent you Atec! Then the cook top and oven would not fit. The installer ask who did my dry fit measurements. Um... no one. Marvin at aztec never even suggested such a thing. So those had to go back. Aztec promised I would be refunded the second they came back. I have yet to see my credit over a week later. Never again. I have purchased appliances sever time with Home Depot and Lowes. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I have always been very pleased with their service and the appliances, until now. On October 4, 2021 we purchased three new Whirlpool appliances from Aztec which included a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a microwave. The refrigerator stopped working within two weeks of purchase. The freezer stopped freezing and the refrigerator section was warm. We tried all of the suggestions that were recommended to fix the problem, after all the appliance did work for almost two weeks. Unfortunately the things we tried were not successful, the new refrigerator we had purchased was a lemon! I contacted Aztec before the end of October to request a new one but they didn't have any replacements they could swap for the broken refrigerator. The only option was for me to contact Whirlpool, they explained that the appliance was still under warranty. Whirlpool should be able to resolve the problem and this sounded like a reasonable solution. After seven weeks of phone conversations with representatives from both Aztec Appliance customer service and Whirlpool customer service we still did not have a working refrigerator. We had had 12 scheduled repair appointments with Appliance Rescue, where half of those were missed for a variety of excuses. Then, finally on December 10, 2021 at 6:30 PM, after numerous attempts the issue was resolved. During the weeks, without a working refrigerator I had been told twice that it was fixed and purchased food to replace the food that had spoiled. After the second time I stopped buying more food each time they thought it was repaired. We missed having a refrigerator for Thanksgiving, we missed having a refrigerator when family visited from out of town in December, and we nearly missed Christmas. The reason for this negative post is that after so many attempts to find a resolution, I had a conversation with Brittney the customer service rep at Aztec and received some good news. She apologized for all the problems and explained that Whirlpool would provide a Food credit to cover some of the cost of food that had been wasted. She told me that she would send me a form to fill out and confirmed my correct email address. The form never arrived so when the refrigerator was finally fixed, I called to let her know and also ask about the food credit. I was excited to finally be able to purchase food again. She explained that she hadn't sent a form, and wasn't sure what happened but in an effort to get off the phone said the credit would probably be sent directly to me from Whirlpool. Of course, that was the last I ever heard from Aztec or Whirlpool. After enduring this fiasco, resolved to find faith in human nature, believing things were moving in the right direction I must share this truth. Customer service and follow through are things of the past. When there is a problem do not expect a timely resolution. Then, most importantly I've learned that establishing a history with a company means nothing and I would never again recommend Aztec Appliance to anyone I like or Whirlpool. If at all possible, avoid doing business with both! read more

I bought a high Frigidaire refrigerator 2 years ago. Two months after the warranty expired the freezer stopped. I have the 5 year extended warranty. The warranty service is awful. It has been over a month and it is still not working. They said I could get a loaner but they have no delivery. Neither do I. They say the warranty is from a third party (New Leaf). I paid Aztec for the warranty. They are no help. I will never get the extended warranty again. I call the factory non warranty. They say the can fix it in less than a week for about $600. read more

Poor customer service. We did a big kitchen reno. We spent over $10k on a stove and fridge here. Because of the pandemic, we did everything over the phone. This is not the problem. Our issues have to do with the stove. Wanted a GE Cafè Line, but due to chip shortages & logistics, they weren't even accepting orders for them. So we went with a top of the line Kitchen Aid ($5k). Ordered in January 2021. I checked in every couple of weeks, and they never had any info. By May the rest of the reno was done and I had to keep my old crappy stove in my beautiful new kitchen because no info on if or when the Kitchen Aid would arrive, and when I called Kitchen Aid myself, they wouldn't help me without this dealer's order number, which Aztec did not provide on my request. So cancelled the Kitchen Aid and asked Aztec for another recommendation. The only one that was close in terms of price and style was an Italian one (Fulgor Milano). I will not comment on the stove here, as that's not the dealer's fault, suffice to say it is the Fiat of Stoves. For this stove, you have to pay $900 extra if you want a door in a color instead of steel, on top of the $5k for the stove itself. So more expensive than the Kitchen Aid. Aztec said that there would be a $600 rebate on the stove because we weren't buying a range hood at the same time. We figured this is a good way to subsidize the door choice. AFTER the order was paid for they called to say no, rebate would only be $300. Also, we wanted black to match the rest of the kitchen, so we ordered the black door. When the stove was delivered and installed, there was broken tempered glass in the box for the door kit and the door had damage to the enamel interior. I IMMEDIATELY called Aztec. Since then they have done NOTHING. They told me that it was special order (I call bullshit - it was literally in a warehouse nearby), no refunds, but they'd arrange to get it exchanged or repaired. BTW we also bought the extended warranty. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED SINCE THEN. Despite repeated contacts they kept blowing me off. So now I am disputing the charge with the credit card and leaving this review to say - GO ELSEWHERE. They strung me along for months and now they got their money can't be bothered. read more

We needed a freezer to replace the one we had in the garage. I called Aztec after reviewing their website. I was lucky enough to get Jordan on the phone. She assisted me in letting me know what freezers they had in stock and sent me an email so that I could review them with my husband. We decided on one, called Jordan back, paid with a credit card and my husband is picking it up this evening!! What could be easier? This is our second purchase with Aztec and based on the reviews of the freezer we purchased we will again be very pleased. I already referred her! We bought a Whirlpool oven from Aztec Appliances and it's AWFUL. We've had nothing but runaround in trying to get it fixed with SIX SERVICE calls, none even touching the problem. We purchased extended warranty, but it's just an illusion. My parents are in their 80's and it has ruined attempts at making them treats to make their life better. If I had it to do over, I would never have purchased from this company or trusted them to stand by their useless warranty. Still looking for someone in management to take ownership. Every single interaction with this company was horrible. From beginning to finish. Showed up without notice. Had no PPE. Wore filthy shoes into my home. They took a shortcut on installation with the new washer and dryer which led to a leak, a spin cycle that sounds like a chinook taking off and a bad vent that meant the unit didn't fit properly and my door being left unattached in the hallway - all of which, you can guess, "wasn't their fault". Took me days to even get someone on the phone after numerous calls and voicemails went unanswered. When I finally got someone to come out, it apparently was a task for 3 of their men to turn the machine on for 2 minutes and tell me they wouldn't take care of anything. Washing dishes is probably the worst chore that I hate doing every week. The dish washer I currently had in my house I've never used since I moved in because the previous owner supposedly said that it leaked sometimes, no bueno. So I was finally fed up, decided it was time for a new one. I went online and did the extensive research on trying to find the best one and then it came down to pricing. Aztec appliance matched pretty much the pricing of every online major retailer. Plus if you ever have issues, it's always easier to deal with someone at a smaller company rather than some big box store corporation. Finally, Aztec Appliance is a local San Diego based company, places I like to support. Sent a message to Gene on Yelp, who explained install prices and warranty prices, which actually beat both Best Buy and Home Depot's prices. I was sold. I wandered into their store at Kearny Mesa and met with Karen. She was able to explain in easy terms the difference in models between Bosch dishwashers. I was set on buying a certain model but just had questions on the features. No upsell BS and no salesman haggle stuff, just straight up information is what she was able to do and I really appreciate that sales approach, let the customer decide. I walked out there with a new dishwasher on order in record speed. When it came time to delivery, they were able to accommodate my work schedule very easily. On delivery day, we had some mishaps but they were all on the part of my plumbing. Previous homeowner didn't pipe properly to my current dish washer. Liban the installer said no problem, call him back when it was ready and he hauled the old one away that day. Once my plumbing was fixed, got ahold of the installer again and scheduled another delivery very easily.  Liban was quick, took care in not damaging my nice wood floors and installed my dishwasher straight, level and correctly. Nothing but a perfect experience with Aztec. They matched everyone else's prices,no salesman bs, install was easy and they're a local vendor. Can't go wrong, I'll come back when I need a new fridge soon. read more
