Having just moved to Sonoma County from LA, I was sure that we'd said goodbye to our days of delicious street tacos and burritos. Happily, I am so wrong and so thankful to have found Aztec Grill! They pride themselves on the fact that they're overcoming the stigma of being in a gas station, and it's easy to see why. The whole place is sparkling clean and the eating area is well-stocked with napkins. Your drinks selection is normal gas station bottles and cans. The menu is simple and easy to understand. You can do kind of a Chipotle-style pick your meat and rice and beans or you can choose from burrito combinations that they suggest. I had 2 carne asada and 2 al pastor street tacos. My husband had the roasted chile breakfast burrito. It was huge and full of flavor. My tacos were so delicious! The meat was well-seasoned and well prepared. The corn tortillas were perfectly toasted and they were topped with just the right amount of cilantro and onion. The tomatillo salsa was tangy and perfect. Plus they served them food truck style with slices of fresh lime on the side. There's no question that we will be back for the quality and value that Aztec Grill offers. read more

After seeing an ad on craigslist for a Manager for the 11 Aztec Grills here in Northern CA, I got curious... and quickly discovered that there truly are 11 of these hidden little jewels dotted along the Hwy 101 corridor inside of Redwood gas station markets. So I proceeded to the closest one to me, and found such a great bargain for my taqueria cravings that I now feel like I have a special secret that no one else knows about! Can't judge a book by it's cover! This restaurant , yes in a gas station is really good. I have the Chile Rellanos. They have a choice in whole or re-fried beans (I like to mix the two) Everything is homemade and really yummy. It's convenient to stop and get a great take out meal on a week night on the way home. Some of the best Mexican food in Santa Rosa (which says a lot) tucked away in a small kitchen in the middle of gas station market. The asada and carnitas are seasoned and cooked perfectly. I couldn't get their bacon and egg breakfast burrito with hot salsa out of head for weeks, seriously that good! You won't find a better value in the gateway to wine country. read more

Just passing through town and found this place on Yelp. Awesome $1.50 street tacos! I had the carnitas, beef and chicken. All of them were very good but the carnitas were my favorite. GF had a burrito bowl with carnitas and black beans, very tasty too. Don't be fooled by its location inside a gas station, this place is legit. read more

Do not be put off that it's inside a gas station, I used to live very close to Sebastopol rd, so I had all sorts of taco places to choose from, now living over here I was having a hard time finding good tacos.... I used to love this place, until the kitchen shut down and things seemed to change. Now, when I order the carnitas on a taco or burrito the last couple of times, the meat tastes like it's treated with a chemical of some sort. Either that, or it has spoiled. read more

This place is awesome! You can get a classic Mexican street taco for like $1.70. Everything is made fresh and to order. I go here all the time for a quick lunch at work, and sometimes on my days off too. It's conveniently located in a gas station which is perfect for me as well. Don't let that discourage you though, the people there are the friendliest, the cashiers infectious smile will brighten your day, and the food is delicious. It is a must try! read more

The $1 tacos are good, the burritos at $6.95 are a deal and they don't skimp on the meat. The quality of the meat is good too. They're not serving you cheap quality at a cheap price. Love the breakfast bowls plus during the week they are open at 5am, good breakfast burritos too, and the tacos dont disappoint, plus great prices. Like to stop here when im doing early hikes and get breakfast to go. read more

It's been a while since I first learned of the Aztec Grill at Rincon Valley Chevron from my boss. So, last week he brought in several Border Burritos to share for lunch. I had a small bite but for the next 4 days, I couldn't stop thinking about those burritos whenever lunch time rolled around. Fast forward to Friday the end of yet another busy week at Sign-A-Rama. I drove over to the Rincon Valley Chevron and was greeted by one exceptionally welcoming and friendly cashier, Roger (btw boss, give him a raise). His genuine good nature will keep customers coming back. Roger recommended the Border Burritos BBQ Steak. He said, "one bite and you won't stop!" he was right, I ate the entire burrito in one sitting. I highly recommend this place for an awesome burrito that won't break the bank. read more
