We had a very enjoyable experience at Azteca the other night. It was a busy Friday but we were seated immediately and drinks, chips, salsa and beans were out almost before we sat it seems. The beans and salsa were very good and the chips just normal, first basket had many small and broken pieces. My wife had the steak fajitas. They were sizzling hot and the meat was tender and plentiful. I would have liked more onions and peppers if it were me but she was fine. Flour tortillas were good although we were told they make their own corn tortillas which for those who like them were probably good. I had the single combo (chicken enchilada) with rice and beans on side. We chose refried beans but other options were available. The enchilad was tasty, had good amount of filling and cheese. Sour cream and guacamole were extra and portion size a bit small but I know costs are up. We would definitely go back in the future. read more

I was surprised to see so many positive reviews for Azteca in Silverdale on local dining pages because it's an older chain. Well, this location is great. It has a family-run vibe. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is the kind of Mexican-American food I grew up with. It's clean, the food is tasty, and the prices are great. They have Mexican Coke in bottles and a wide variety of drinks. Give it a try. My suggestion: The fajitas or one of the taco selections. But it's all good. read more

Excellent service very welcoming and friendly- we ended up later than expected and they were so welcoming even though they were 1.5hr from closing. Ordered Steak fajita- smelled so good two tables next to us changed orders- perfectly prepared got every adjustment correct a classic done excellently Carne asada burrito- my partner dug in before I could get a pic- who am I kidding so did I! Delicious!! The sauce was full of flavor and the burrito was stuffed to the gills! Mexican corn appetizer! - almost didn't get a picture at all it was delicious! And the Tahin on that was wonderful!!! And despite having multiple tables and the bar- the waitress was on point!!!!! Attentive friendly seriously elevated the experience!!!! This is the best Azteca I think I've ever been to. They gave me three refills on my refried beans and salsa and chips. The bartender was very energetic always had my drinks and my wife's drinks on time always asking if we needed anything. By the way the best drinks in town. I will come back here every time I need Mexican food. not to mention the food tasted fantastic and the portions were top-notch compared to any other Mexican place We've been to around here. Called in an order for pick up. It was ready in less than 20 minutes. We got home and it was still warm. We ordered two cheese enchiladas with beans and rice and two chicken enchiladas with beans and rice. It came with chips to warm up and salsa. They have a military discount so with that the price was $35 out the door with tip! It's hard to find that anywhere these days. Staff was really friendly and checkout process was really quick. They also have a reward system that gives you a 20% discount after 10 or 12 visits, I don't remember exactly. There's a little kiosk at the counter that you can check in at whenever you go whether you're taking out or dining in. It was recently remodeled inside and looks great. read more

I've been here many times before, but I guess this is the first time I've reviewed it. I got the tacos al carbon, filled with carne asada, with white rice and rancho beans. I asked if I could have 2 tacos instead of 3. Apparently they couldn't do that. It's just a lot of food. I'm trying to eat less than I used to. There was no guacamole on the menu for it, yet they put a scoop of it behind the beans. (A little bit got close to the tacos.) I hate it. The waitress knew I wouldn't like it when she saw my face. Why was it there if it wasn't on the menu? The rest of it was pretty good. The tacos were barely room temperature, though. I don't know how that happens on such a hot plate. I usually have a hard time, because the food is usually too hot to eat for a while. So, this was odd to me. I like that our waitress got sweetener for my iced tea without even asking me. That was nice. She seemed a little too friendly at first, and at times hard to hear what she said. I don't like that the booths have a step to get into it. I can see that people can easily fall. The decor is nice. It was interesting and fun to go on Halloween and see people in costumes. read more

Service was great, friendly, attentive staff. They get the 2 stars. Food, not great! The chips they bring with salsa, unfortunately chips were stale and had a weird cleaner taste. Like others have said in reviews food does lack flavor. They are right! I had their carnitas tacos, bland carnitas which were huge chunks of pork instead of shredded. Flour tortillas were half crunchy or stale, just not good, didn't complain because I didn't want to ruin our family dinner, but I had an upset stomach with diarrhea over night and into the next morning. Other family members are fine. They had different dishes, so it had to of been my dinner choice. Husband said his taco salad was just okay, lacked flavor when I asked him what he thought of dinner. If they had food with flavor and not stale tasting this place could be great, but it's not on top of our list for Mexican. I doubt we will ever be returning. read more

Service was pretty prompt. We started off with the chips and dips, and added queso, they were all a big hit. (The baby even really liked the beans.) the queso has a tiny 'kick' to it, but it was very mild. Main meal was great, we had the lamb shank which was full of flavor and fell off the bone. We got drinks then lots of chips and salsa. Then got our food ordered and brought out. Everything was great. We have been here a few times with our large group and always have had great service. BEWARE!!! UNACCOUNTABLE FOOD POISONING ESTABLISHMENT!!! My roommate ordered ceviche and lamb. Roommate got food poisoning from the lamb, which was uncooked. She ate the whole lamb and within a couple of days she had a fever, vomiting and diarrhea. This lasted for 3 weeks! It was a severe food poisoning episode that left my roommate hunched over, bed-ridden and unable to hold anything down except suckin on ice cubes. This caused her to lose 13 pounds. Before the food poisoning she weighed at 123 and after 3 weeks, she weighed at 110 poinds. The owner Christopher De Luna, contacted us, we talked and he told is to save receipts from medical appts so they can pay for it. I told him my roommate was afraid to go to the hsopital due to high COVID cases there so she just had a phone consultation with a doctor who ordered an IV nutritional treatment due to the massive loss of weight/ nutrients, parasite infection and dehydration. The restaurant's insurance company called my roommate, investigated and within 2 days said it can't go anywhere because food poisoning "is hard to prove". Essentially, my roommate suffered for 3 weeks with an infection that now requires renourishment of her depleted body due to Azteca's hazardous, unsafe and unclean food preparation. Now she has to continue heaing while paying for her own treatments. Oh! Forgot to mention, the Macho burrito ... they didnt follow the request to leave out cheese and sour cream so I had to scrape as much as possible. I can't eat dairy. Not only did they poison but they can't even follow simple instructions. They charge $.41 per small salsa which was not spicy to us. I don't plan on returning. read more

We went to Azteca in Silverdale tonight. The service was great! They were all so sweet and attentive. We have a 2 year old and ordered her a kids meal. I did not realize how big the portions were! We came home with basically her and my whole meal . the salsa was bland but the guacamole was on point! I haven't been to a Mexican restaurant that brings out refried beans with the chips which was a nice change. Also, we moved here in January so we are still looking for a Mexican restaurant. I am use to white cheese. so that was different for me. But we love cheese so it was still good. My daughter had chicken nachos with rice and beans, I had a chimichanga with a taco rice and beans and my husband had burritos dos amigos. We all had water and the bill came to $52 before tip. Been sitting here waiting for server for almost 15 minutes so I could get a box to go and pay for my mediocre lunch. Happy hour deals are fantastic on the bar side. It makes it affordable and worthwhile. The queso dip is still the best I've ever had. Carnitas tacos were not what I was expecting - cubed pork rather than shredded - still good but I'd stick to the chicken taco next time as the flavor profile was more to my liking. Stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday, came in got very friendly welcoming in. That was a plus. Me and my friend we sat at the bar area to watch some games. The bar wasn't full which was great for me because I can eat in peace haha. I always liked Mexican Restaurant because there portion are usually huge and also the unlimited chip and salsa. Its funny how every time before my entree comes out I will be pretty full already with the chip and salsa. I just can't stop eating them. I don't know why, I ordered a burger in a Mexican restaurant but I didn't regret it. It is probably one of the best burger out there too. I got there special Mexican style burger, forgot the name. I like the fries that comes with it too, I'm a fries eater. The fries were perfectly fried, crispy and flavorful even if it comes from a premade frozen package. It was fried perfectly. Came here for lunch. They do have lunch specials until 3 pm. We ordered two specials, the arroz con pollo and pollo a la crema. They were both good the difference between the two besides the sauce is that the arroz con pollo doesn't come with beans. The service was good and they have outdoor seating. We have been here before but it was a long time between visits. The two lunch specials and two ice teas came to $30. I would probably go back for lunch again. read more
