Wife and I walked here from Mallory Square - it's a jaunt, worked up an appetite. This is a nicer/ fancier place than most in Key West. I had the Israeli Couscous and was not expecting a soup. Taste was good, just not thrilled to have soup as main course at such a fancy place. Wife had the yellowtail over quinoa special. She said it was prepared well, just a little boring on the palate. Fine dining and great service are the things that come to mind eating here. Peaceful music as well as the beautiful interior design gives the best atmosphere for a lovely night out. The food is excellent and the menu keeps a wide variety of items. The specials are well thought out and sound devine. The seats are comfortable no matter where you chose to dine. This a gem and worth taking a little walk for. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all great. The menu is unusual and varied--very different from most Key West restaurants. Service is friendly and very professional. Great to eat inside or outside, especially by the fountain. We eat as many meals as possible at Azure when visiting Key West. The restaurant had just reopened after 5 weeks closed so not everything was actually available but we really enjoyed the beef and pine nut varieties of gnocchi. The humus and pita was tasty but only one pita was served, quartered and there was not nearly enough for the spread, and more was not provided voluntarily. Two pitas, quartered, would have done the job. One issue is that tiki torches would be useful in the evening as my legs got eaten alive by the biting insects. Use bug spray if you want to sit outdoors in the evening. Still the food and service were very good. Easy on the gnocchi as there will not be room for the enticing dessert offerings! read more

Ka-POW Was recommended by a local to have breakfast here. Very good. Not your run of the mill breakfast. However, well worth the extra 5 bucks! Lips had the Country Breakfast. Scrambled Eggs, excellent link of sausage, Potatoes and a side of Hollandais Sauce. I really think, the sauce was home made! Very good. Coffee is strong and probably freshly ground. I had the eggs with Brie. wow what a great combination. Tasty. With the breakfast comes a freshly baked Slice of buttered bread. Add a roasted tomato! Super good! 30 including tip. Very good dinner here. Restaurant is in a lovely old house. There's a charming garden room with windows all around and lush vegetation. The menu was interesting, but this is one of those places where the service is a bit fussy and it's hard to picture what you are going to be eating based on the menu's descriptions, which seemed overly complicated. I enjoyed this restaurant immensely. We sat indoors at a quaint table for two. Beautiful artwork displayed throughout the dining room and the vib was welcoming and sophisticated. We enjoyed 4 courses beginning with the octopus, followed by pork ribs, mushroom gnocci and finally the swordfish. We were pleasantly surprised by each. I highly recommend this restaurant. Wow! Service was phenomenal, Rob made us feel like we had known him for years. It's a smaller restaurant which allows for an intimate feel and server dedication. Staff aside, the food was so good I would've served it myself if I had to. We shared everything which I recommend, the portions are perfect for two. The clams were great, nothing revolutionary, but just what the doctor ordered. The gnocchi on the other hand, we had the seared gnocchi with pine nuts, was orgasmic. We also ordered a special, black grouper with ratatouille, and it was even better than the gnocchi. Off the beaten path aside this place will blow away anything away on Duval. read more

This place is FANTASTIC. I had the grouper special, it was a great sized portion, and perfectly cooked. It was over a bed of calamari and celery - the calamari was cooked perfectly as well. My boyfriend had the steak, and he was in heaven. The small plates were fantastic, the atmosphere is great - not too crowded. Service was wonderful. I was so happy, I told the waiter I could kiss the chef. Well, shortly thereafter the chef/owner came out and I made good on my promise. The waiter said I made his night, and he thanked us with 2 free glasses of some really good port. If I'm back in Key West anytime soon, I know where I will be eating. A fabulous dining experience. Service: Excellent. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We had a chance to eat outside, so we took it. It did start to rain, but the waiter had already made accommodations for everyone to move to a covered area. Food: Believe everything you have heard about the gnocchi. It's amazing. My wife had the shrimp appetizer, which was also excellent. Main course of mixed seafood risotto was great, and the grouper special was the best. Excellent dinner. The mussels and the tuna carpaccio appetizers were great - full, well balanced flavors and exciting. The lamb shank was delicious and the seafood risotto was wonderful: fresh, diverse ingredients, and a creamy sumptuous texture of the rice was a great contrast in both texture and flavor. To round it out, the apricot and almond crepe - a delicate flavor combination - plus a nice port. Great meal, good service, pleasant atmosphere. I also liked that the portions were not huge. Great food. Loved everything we ate. The only thing that needs to change is the way the wine is served. Both red wines we ordered (Malbec & Cab) came out chilled. Yuk. We sent them both back and decided to try a chardonnay. It was ice cold. We stayed with it, warming it up with both hands and in 15 minutes it was a great tasting wine. Outdoor ambiance is nice & quiet, location is away from insanity of the bar scene. Service was prompt & professional. Food is good and menu offers a nice variety but don't ask to make any changes or substitutions because it's not happening. This may not be the best choice for anyone with food allergies. read more

We dined here on March 2, 2011. The décor is very attractive and comfortable. The outside dining was all occupied, but the dining room was lovely, and we were just inside the patio doors, so there was a little outdoor feel. It works as a romantic place, or a handsome contemporary place. The menu is quite varied, inventive, and there are a number of smaller dishes, which I really liked. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. Good portion size (I hate it when it is too big), not pretentious. My only comment is that the service was forgetful. Our server would walk by after a request (it happened a couple of times), look at us and say "Oh, yeah," and remember our request. I want my service to be attentive, and fairly invisible, that is, requests attended to, but not someone hanging over me. That would be appropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. The location is great, on a quiet side street about a 10-minute walk from the madness of Duval. It happened to be right around the corner from our hotel, but I would definitely recommend the walk from almost anywhere in the old town area. read more

We had breakfast at Azur this morning and it was wonderful! It was quiet at 9:15 on a Monday. We sat outside. There is a bit of street noise but the fountain helps to mask it. The service was wonderful. There was one server covering the four tables seated outside and he handled the flow very well. Drinks came out promptly and the food came out piping hot. We ordered a 3 egg Frittata (Proscuitto di Parma, Fontina cheese, and caramelized onions $9.75) and the Carbonara Breakfast (deconstructed Pasta tossed with crispy pancetta, onions, mushrooms, cream and Parmesan-Reggiano cheese topped with two poached eggs $13.95). Both portions were worth the price. The cream sauce on the Carbonara was absolutely delicious. We observed the two "Sweet Breakfast" items being served at the table next to us; both looked delicious and were large portions. We can't wait to try Azur for dinner! read more

First...the most friendly and courteous waiter. After a long hot day of shopping and walking, we were greeted with a smile, given a wonderful table and instant cold water! I have to admit that our favorite part of the meal had to be the salads. I had the frizee salad with pear, endive, dates and a vinaigrette dressing, while my husband had an arugula, with goat cheese, walnuts, shallots and rosemary honey dressing. So So Good! The hot bread we had while they were making the salad was also superb. I believe we were so full by the time we started our entrees that we could not fully appreciate them. I had never tried gnocchi and must admit that I found I am not a fan, but the braized beef, mushroom and vegetables that completed the dish were wonderful. When I were in Key West,I went this restaurant three times,the foods were delicious,especially the local fish.

We came across Azur circuitously - we couldn't seem to get reservations at our first or second choice. What luck! This place is the real deal - a passionately run restaurant in a tourist town. We were warmly greeted, and seated quickly, with water and menus. There were four of us, and we were not overly hungry, so we began with just two appetizers: the confit of octopus and the beef carpaccio with arugula, Parmesan cheese and truffle oil. Both were excellent. There was enough to share, and even the non-octopus eater declared it delicious. Two of our party went on to have Osso Bucco, one had the chicken with spinach, and I had a local swordfish special that was grilled and included broccolini, gigante beans, small shrimp and a delicious light lemon sauce. Everything was very fresh and intensely flavorful. I am always looking for that sweet spot between health and pleasure, and this restaurant really hit the mark. Very delicious and creative! And the waiter was especially nice, with a deft touch in pouring wine. We're thinking about going back tomorrow night. So fabulous! read more

Food was pretty good but services and behaviour of waiter was terrible I mean I would never bring my kids here. I was on a table with my husband and there was a group of 7 people on other table and 1 kid was just playing and shouting n his parents were taking his care suddenly waiter comes and says that "take your child out others are getting disturbed" but frankly speaking all kids are same and if kids won't make noise then who would. read more

We absolutely loved everything we ate at this restaurant. The staff did a great job recommended a great wine based on hearing on of my current favorites. The grilled octopus appetizer was amazing as was my snapper in the lemon caper sauce and my husband's grouper special.
