SCAM - another one... When I contacted William Villar, we agreed on $25 to do initial inspection of our broken washer. I was very clear on the cost. When he arrived, he took a look under the hood said the issue was with the water pressure sensor. I looked at the drain hose and turns out it was too low to the ground which was why it wasn't working. So turns out it wasn't broken in the first place. Whoops my mistake, nothing is wrong, he didn't have to do any work. I figured oh well I'll pay the $25... but to my surprise he said the charge was $40! Are you serious? We agreed and was clear on only an inspection and no repair was done/needed so it should have been only the $25. The reason I was so adamant asking about the price in the first place was to avoid this situation. The "oh I'll do the work and bill you whatever I feel like $$$ later". The point of doing the inspection first is to have the KNOWN fixed cost. Also, you do not start charging extra before getting the OK from the person paying, that's just common courtesy! I called my regular appliance guy, whom I have used for many years, and he misdiagnosed both machines AND flooded the space with the washer. Great experience with this company. Our useless expensive to repair stove (BlueStar) knob for stove, igniter and fan were broken. We literally called every repair person on BlueStars website who were authorized or something technicians on their website. All of them were rated so bad 2 stars or so. Some had closed down, some never returned my call and another came and diagnosed without asking us what happened or even touching the stove. The reviews were so bad and multiple complaints about these other places. We found them on the Nextdoor app. Messaged and able to set up a time for them to come diagnose the next day. William and his partner came over and took the whole thing apart and explained to us what happened, what was wrong and what needed to be done. He came back the next day and found the igniter was bad (forgot that was the reason someone took their frustration out on knob - it wasn't lighting up) they spent so much time here making sure everything was done right. Can't appreciate it enough! Everything is working great and I found the price was great and way less than the two star technicians wanted to charge us by hundreds. Next they fixed our dishwasher which was leaking. They were able fix the seal that had broken and we are so happy having it back on again. Price again was very affordable. This is my first time writing review on yelp as i want to let people know my bad experience with William. When i called him to come and check my washer he said he will charge ONLY $20 to check and if i want him to fix the issue then he will add that $20 to the total bill. when he came to check, he knew right away that there was only a belt replacement needed but he pretended that its a very big issue which will cost me over $200+ and he saved me that $200+ by telling me the truth. He barely worked only 15 mins on my washer and rest of the time he was on the phone attending calls. He put on the same belt and told me that washer is fixed now. After he was done he said he saved me over $200 for not charging extra so i had to pay $75 to him for his labor. I wanted him to check on a problem to validate what was already diagnosed as a circuit board problem. He came out and checked the problem and acknowledged it was a circuit board. I told him I wanted to find out if the refrig was under warranty but if he could also check into the ordering of the circuit board. I found out that the refrig was no longer under warranty for the part and tried for three days to get back in touch with William, multiple text messages and a phone call.
