After way too many searches and review rabbit holes, we finally picked up the phone and called Gary for help ASAP. He came out the very next day (during the New Year break, no less), which already put him in "appliance hero" territory. Gary took one quick look and immediately found the culprit: a sneaky sock that somehow bypassed the lint filter, slipped between the drum, and slowly started jamming the whole mechanism like it owned the place. He even mentioned we got lucky: our unit is a more complex top-down dual-dryer setup that's not exactly fun to disassemble. Fortunately, it turned out to be a simple fix. He dislodged the sock, everything went back to normal, and just like that... peace was restored to our laundry kingdom. Yes, I paid for his travel and service (as you should when someone saves your household from Mount Laundry), but I genuinely appreciated Gary's honesty, quick diagnosis, and straightforward solution. No upsell, no scare tactics, just "here's the problem, here's the fix." He showed us how to disassemble and reassemble the microwave panel, in case we wanted to replace the part ourselves and only pay for the troubleshooting - but we decided to have him do the replacement after the part arrived. We requested a new gasket as part of the washer service, and Ratmir ordered the part. Before a week had gone by all of the parts had arrived and Ratmir scheduled the service time with us. He explained what he found during the washer and dryer servicing, identified an issue that needed fixing with the dryer - and noted though some parts were worn, they could go another year or so before needing replacement. We highly recommend Ratmir. He is knowledgeable, friendly, a good communicator - and he is fair and honest. He offers options that save money and does not recommend unnecessary service.

I called Mario this afternoon and he fixed it TODAY (warning - don't expect that - the fact that he came out at all puts him head and shoulders above the other folks that I had called). He arrived with meters and gauges in hand. He had not seen one of these units before (I believe), but examined it and took a first principles approach to it - identifying every element, not jumping to conclusions. After he was able to add some Freon (first addition in 14 years) in the exact correct amount, the unit jumped to life, remaining stable and being ready for service. Mario was engaging, but focused. While he was working, someone had called him for some advice - something for which it seemed that he likely was not going to get paid - but he unselfishly offered insight while he completed my work. Mario listens - he doesn't go out of his way to tell you how smart he is - he just gets it done and moves on.

I felt taken advantage of due to my lack of technical knowledge about appliance repairs. Because of this, I would not use his service again and recommend others ask for a detailed quote and parts breakdown beforehand, better yet, find someone more reasonable.

DBA Same day HVAC services, paid one visit to my home to fix my furnace, which he described as plugging in the unit and turning on the gas, which was confirmed by the tech I haired that no one opened the unit to trouble shoot anything. On multiple occasions the technician called me stating "you just want a new furnace right"? I told him well yes if my current furnace could not be fixed. He then asked my wife the same thing before ever even looking at the furnace. Once he looked at the furnace he said he would fix it temporarily but get me the quote for the new unit. I was originally told $5246 then when I called the company the owner/GM told me oh you wanted us to run it through your insurance? Well I'll let them know we went out twice so they understand it needs replacement. I was confused at first so I was finally able to get a hold of a friend to come look at it that does HVAC and he said this unit is very clean internally and it's a capacitor and a small clog in the vacuum pump. It ended up being a $250 fix and told me I shouldn't have an issue with it for 5-7 yrs. I then receive an amended quote letting me know the replacement would be $3700. I have of course canceled them and requested a refund. If you are in the market stay clear of this company and their sub contractor. MS Services INC. DBA Same day air conditioning.

It is a bummer when your 20 year old HVAC goes out in the middle of winter, but having someone come out and take care of you during a time like that is such a relief. Our Carbon Monoxide detectors starting going off, which really indicated a serious problem. Ed came out and explained the issues with our furnace in detail and gave us options of repair vs replacement and the various replacement options. We elected to go with a hybrid Gas/Electric/Heat Pump system. The quote was fair, I mean this stuff is expensive, but we knew the ball park costs going in and the quote was reasonable. Ed helped us figure out how to make sure we had the right hook-ups, venting location and place in the house for a new air intake port that could work in our 80 year-old house with the least intrusive modifications. Luis and Devon came out to do the work. It was a 2 day process and they were friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. If someone is going to be in your house for 2 days it is always great to have them be nice people, which they were. Cody, the owner, came by each day to check in and answer our questions and make sure we understood how the system worked. When the work was finished, everything was cleaned up and tidy. We could not have had a better experience and been more well taken care of in our time of crisis. We are very satisfied and the work was done 100% to our hopes and expectations

They truly helped guide us through the process so we didn't have any surprises and helped us navigate any hiccups that came up. Normally, construction companies get a bad rap of being dishonest and trying to add in hidden fees and such, but Construction & More is a truly forthcoming and hardworking group of contractors who have your best interest at heart when it comes to your project no matter how big or small. For the process itself, we began with a consultation at our home to walk through the work we wanted the Construction & More team to do. For us, it was a full renovation which included removing a kitchen wall to create an open concept kitchen & living room, adding a mud room, expanding the master bedroom, moving the front and garage doors, as well as moving the ceilings to create a more open space. After the consultation was completed, we met with Avi & Joseph at their office to discuss an estimate and timeline for the work we needed done about (6-months time, pending no delays). Avi & Joseph respected our budget and were upfront and honest of how to stay within the budget and what were non-negotiables that we needed to get done. They really helped us understand what work was critical and what were nice to have to make our living space better. Once we agreed on the work, they promptly sent over a contract for signature, created a whatsapp group for real time communication, and next steps. Overall this initial process took about a week after negotiations and contract reviews. Once construction began, the team coordinated all the work. They made sure that all moving parts were well executed while setting a realistic timeline for the work to be done. All the subcontractors and tradesmen were effectively scheduled, where there wasn't a single day where there was no work being done. I felt that the team ensured that the construction was moving swiftly and the crew was respectful of our space. The crew made sure that our home was properly locked up and cleaned up after each day's work. Additionally, all the detailed finishing work was measured and completed with precision, where all the tiles placed were measured with a laser. As a bonus, the crew was also super respectful to our neighbors which is an extra plus! If you're considering a renovation of any size, but especially a full home renovation, I could not rave more about Construction & More.
