I believe in good customer service. We received the worst service that I could remember in a very long time anywhere. Our server not only got our orders incorrectly, she only checked on our table three times, the first to take our order, the second time when we called her back to correct our order, the last time to drop off the bill. She stopped at 4 tables around us at least 5 times! Extremely poor service, the food was good but did that can not take away from the substandard service. Very disappointing. read more

I've lived in Castle Rock for 19 years and have eaten at B&B many times. I guess I never left a review because in the past, the food was blah. Today was different. Our breakfast was delicious, service was exceptional. Such a pleasant early morning experience. Hubby had classics Benedict. Eggs were perfectly cooked over a thick slice of ham. I had cheese and sausage omelet. Fluffy with big chunks of sausage. Still not a fan of the potatoes. Too greasy for me. All in all great experience. read more

So good! The only diner worth coming to over and over again. There's ALWAYS a wait but if you go on the website, you can join the wait list before you head over. Mimosas are large and strong, pancakes are delicious, and the Benedict's are to die for. Beautiful corner cafe for brunch. I you like bananas, then Mr. Bauer's breakfast is for you. Not too sweet, not too dense, and is big enough for 2-3 people. The quiche is ok. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish today. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat on our way to Colorado Springs for the day. Nothing fancy, but the servers were friendly and efficient and the food was good. I was really excited to try the banana bread french toast, but alas, they were out of banana bread. Kinda odd since we were there so early, but plenty of other options to choose. I opted for the First Fruit, full of lots of fresh fruit, vanilla yogurt, and yummy granola. No bananas - maybe that's why they had no banana bread? - but otherwise it hit the spot. read more

This was our second try at this cafe- with the same results. Extended wait time, exceeded initial time by +25 minutes. We ordered my husband got the southerner and I ordered hash browns with green chili all sounded really good. When the food arrived everything lacked flavor, the potatoes (they were not hash browns) tasted like they were steamed except for the green chili which had little flavor but was HOT. On our way home from Denver, we decided to stop for brunch and wanted to venture somewhere new. We decided to head into Castle Rock and check out B&B Cafe and I'm so glad we did! He space itself is super cute and quaint and reminds me of a small town diner with a facelift. Upon ordering they had plenty of choices for everyone. Ultimately I was torn between three options and I asked for suggestions from our waitress. She was beyond helpful and was an expert on the menu including giving us tips on getting her potatoes cooked a little longer for extra crispiness. I went with the full plate and after her suggestions went with the cinnamon roll dipped in cinnamon vanilla egg batter. OMG. heavenly. The potatoes also were some of the best I've heard as they were cut like French fries as opposed to normal cubes. The others in my party went with the salmon Benedict which she enjoyed although she mentioned it wasn't the best salmon she's ever had. The other went with the California Benedict which she was also impressed with. I can absolutely see this place becoming a part of my regular brunch rotation despite being a half hour away. read more

Food is great and the experience is usually great, but the hostess (a tall woman) on Fathers Day is completely incompetent. Very rude and not aware. Our party was called up and I went to get seated and she said we were "on deck" even though the virtual waitlist said our table was ready. We waited another 20 minutes, I went up and said we waited 20 minutes and she wouldn't even look at me or say anything to me. She just asked someone to seat us and looked away. Been coming here for years. Prior to moving South we used to go to Great Beginnings, their sister restaurant. Everything is made fresh to order. The potatoes do have some skin. I noticed someone complaining about that. It's not the frozen bag potatoes some of the franchise places serve. This joint is a cut above the Egg and similar places. We took my mother-in-law for a birthday breakfast yesterday. The wait was very long, but we could tell the staff was doing their best. Our server was Alec. It was obviously overwhelming for all of the staff because of the amount of full tables. Alec did a great job! He made sure to clarify our orders and anything we were missing. We were looking for a not too busy breakfast spot on our way south from Denver this weekend. At a Starbucks near Cabelas I asked the barista if she had a good restaurant suggestion. She said she was from Castle Rock and B&B was the place to go. We were a little worried when we saw the crowd and wait time but some seats at the bar opened up pretty quickly so we sat there. The server was very friendly and unpretentious. The food was massive in proportions and very very tasty. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. My partner had eggs and sausage and cinnamon roll French toast. All was cooked perfectly and came out fast. I particularly like the home fries. I'm from NM and needed a little spice so I ordered a side of green chile. It wasn't bad but definitely doesn't compare to NM chile. Not their fault, just wasn't my fave. I had an awesome experience here! The website gives you the ability to add your name to the waitlist so you can plan ahead and ensure your table is ready as you arrive. The staff were all very welcoming and kind. The menu is extensive with many breakfast and lunch menu items. I ordered a mimosa to start which came in a mason jar and was nice and strong (like I prefer them). We tried the full plate (with bacon, and banana bread French toast which was amazing!), the Denver omelette and the Turkey club sandwich. All of the food was delicious and a steal for the price. Stopped by here during the lunch hour one weekend with my mother in law while at our friends bookstore grand opening. We were immediately greeted and sat down. The place at first looks small, until you go to the other side of the restaurant. Someone mentioned small tables, but I'm not sure if they saw the portion of the restaurant we were in because our table was humongous. Plenty of seating (indoors and out). The staff were all friendly and The food was just fine. I had a chicken salad sandwich and fries. Both were good. Maybe we'll be back during breakfast if ever in the area at that time! read more

Great food, fast service. Everything was great until my friend and I paid the check. The server came over and asked if we needed anything else or perhaps a coffee to go. We replied "no." I give it two stars because the service was great but the meal was sub par. I had the Cambridge breakfast with coffee, I asked for the potato's to be crispy. The coffee tasted like Folgers/Maxwell House or something along those lines for the bargain price of 3.50(ouch) and Cambridge.... well it filled a hole I guess, the french fry style potato's were greasy and pretty limp and the hollandaise sauce was to tangy tangy for me and the poached eggs were a little harder than what I ordered. read more

Came here for the first time today and all I can say is MY LORD is it good. I got there at noon and I was afraid they weren't serving breakfast still. Luckily, they serve it until 2. I ordered the full plate. Over easy eggs, 2 of the best and fluffiest pancakes I've ever had, thick and absolutely delicious sausage, and the best part... the potatoes. I SWEAR by these potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavor was so packed that I couldn't get enough. The service was just as superb as the meal, if not better. The biscuits and gravy are amazing. Everything was so good, took off one star for the mango tea. Please stock regular tea or at least make it known that it is flavored. Yes it says on the menu, on the last page, but most people don't look at the drinks unless they are looking for something special. We will be back, I just will not order the tea. read more
