Ran over a wooden plank on the fwy yesterday and my cars oil cover fell off. Called to ask if they could lift it up so they could put it back in there. Said he was going to charge me $20. Didn't mind it. I went and the mechanic who helped me put my car up on their lift was very nice and told me there would be no charge. I think had I gone somewhere else they would've charged me. My 82 year old mom had problems with them prior to me going, but thought maybe the had changed. WRONG! First let me explain problem my mom had. She took her 2002 Ford Taurus to them last year for noise when turning. The guy there told her needed a power steering unit replaced. He did ( we thought). Few days later and she was still having the same problem. Took it back and he said she needed something else, ( don't remember what it was, been awhile). I knew what he had suggested had nothing to do with steering. She ended up taking it to Ford of Upland. They said it needed a power steering unit. My mom said she already replaced that. They told her that was the original part on there. The guy at B&H never replaced just charged her. I confronted him and he said he was sorry and gave a full refund and blamed his mechanic. Move ahead to two years later and I thought I would give him one more try. I took my 1995 Chevy G20 Van Conversion to him after it kept stuttering on acceleration. A day later he calls and says it needs a new fuel pump. $300.00. I pick up van after repair and he says he would recommend rear brakes and front brakes piston sticks. Due to lack of money I said I would wait for two weeks when I get paid. Hop in car and it still is stuttering. He said its fine just drive it for a bit. Next morning I call him and say it's still stuttering. He say's " Oh yeah your cam sensor doesn't work that's whats wrong and it will cost 275.00. There was never any mention about cam sensor the previous day, he said he didn't say anything cause he wanted to save me money. I decided after talking to a guy at the Bureau of Automotive Repair to have someone else look at it. I took it to another shop on Monterey Ave, and White Ave. He had it for two days and checked everything. He found fuel pressure was low. It could be only two things fuel pump, or throttle body injection. I had him rebuild throttle body injection and still had low fuel pressure. Took back to B&H and showed them PSI results of fuel pump and he began to say the other guy didn't know what he was doing, and asking me how he checked it. I told him I wasn't there so I don't know how he checked it. So he says I show you. He puts van up on rack, turns a few bolts, puts on a gauge. Has a guy walk up a ladder to turn car on. The best part is when the pressure on gauge was actually lower than what other shop reported. Then they start revving engine up, no change to pressure. Dumb ass then turns to me with gauge and says see its ok. I showed him recipt from other shop that shows where it's suppose to be. He tells one of his guys go check computer. Before guy gets back, he tells me ok I replace fuel pump. Later that day I pick up and it runs fine. Too make things worse, he didn't reset gauges, so they stayed up when you turned off car. He told me I need to have that checked, it would cost 95.00 to check. I looked on-line...after installing a new fuel pump you need to disconnect battery ground, put back on and pump gas this resets gauges. He didn't do it trying to get more money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!! Try Auto Tune Center 255 N. White Avenue Pomona He was honest, checked everything, and helped. read more

Honest technicians and fair prices found at this shop tucked away in a quiet area of Pomona. I stumbled upon this shop accidentally while getting my motorcycle fixed at Brown's BMW across the street. After dropping off my bike that wouldn't start... I got into my truck to go home, and lo and behold... the truck wouldn't start. B&H was just across the street so I thought I'd give them a try. So glad I did. They replaced my starter for a fraction of the price my regular L.A. technicians charge. They also showed me, with the truck lifted, what was going on, how a previous technician had stripped some bolts, and that a heat shield was missing from the starter... I really appreciated their keeping me informed throughout the process. read more

Very honest and a great value for your money! I will visit them for all of my automotive service needs. They seem to follow the "bring your own" parts format, which is a great deal if you're able to purchase the parts on-line or at the junk jard. Even if you don't bring anything, they will still assist you, but you'll have to pay for parts, fluids, etc. at the regular price. They get busy from time to time so be willing to wait or have a ride bring you back. read more

They said the left bearing had to be changed immediately and they would only charge $369.00 plus the front brakes for $299.00.
