Pretty good for a diner, 24-hour B-Line is located inside the massive complex of the Hyatt Regency Orlando resort. Service was friendly but you couldn't forget it was a diner as servers were hustling and pacing up and down the aisles. We were sat right away, I ordered our and food, I ordered the Tomato bisque soup bowl along with the grilled cheese and jam sandwich served with french fries. The soup was tasty and way too creamy for me, like heavy cream, and the bowl was huge, the grilled cheese and jam sandwich was very tasty and well prepared. All of our dishes were huge. My friend ordered a salad and towards the end of his salad bowl he found a huge plastic thing inside! We couldn't make out what it was, we informed our served who graciously offered to replace his meal, a bit later the chef came out to apologize and inform us that the foreign plastic yellow object in my friend's salad did not come from their kitchen and that it must have come from the food vendor, regardless he was very apologetic and offered to comp our 3 meals, they also offered us anything else we wanted and offered us drinks to go which was very classy. Ambiance and service were good but the food, overall, is not. I had the displeasure of eating the driest pastrami sandwich I have ever eaten that I thought I might choke on it. The coffee was weak and watered down and had grounds floating in it, and had the faint taste of leftover coffee that's been microwaved. My dining companion commented that the grilled cheese she ordered wasn't great either. I assume this place stays in business not because of the food but because it is in the hotel with so few options to eat around it that people go there for the convenience. Had two business lunches at this restaurant in the Hyatt while attending conference at the OC convention center. Maybe it's because I had low expectations but the food was excellent. First day, I had the blue plate special which was blackened salmon with vegetables. Second day, I had the mahi mahi with cilantro rice and vegetables. I must say that the B line diner is an extraordinary diner. I recently attended a convention at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. I've visited this restaurant three times during my stay at this hotel. Every single time the food came out quickly, nice and warm, and very good service. This diners staff definitely has their act together. I had their blackened fish sandwich, which was perfectly cooked. They make their own pickles, which was very good also. On another visit I had their Ruben sandwich. Which is probably the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had. On one visit my wife had some lettuce shrimp tacos, she commented that they were delicious. I never heard a bad word from any of my fellow convention goers. My group will be going to this location for the next five years, the B Line Diner will be a destination restaurant on this property. Not exactly your standard NJ diner. But a decent replica. The menu is more limited, but the choices which are available are delicious, portions decent. And pricey. This is, after all, a restaurant in a hotel. The line for breakfast is long when there's a conference in town, as it was on this morning. It moves relatively quickly. There is counter service as well, but you need to wait in the line to be seated at the counter. The breakfast standards are all on the menu. I opted for 2 eggs over easy, corned beef hash. The meal comes with toast (which I didn't get), instead substituted a fruit cup for an upcharge. I was dining alone so sat at the counter. It's cool to watch the line do their thing. The restaurant was full and these guys were moving fast. \I was able to watch my order move up in the sequence and get cooked. 2 eggs deftly prepared (simultaneously with 5 other pans), the corned beef hash on the griddle, and the fruit slung from the refrigerator table. Definitely a finely tuned crew. The hash isn't homemade nor is the fruit freshly cut. But it's delicious, and reasonably quickly served. As long as you're not on a budget, this is good choice for quick, casual food. read more

As everyone who has attended a trade show at the Orlando Convention Center can attest, the food court options are equivalent to what they dump in the pig troughs on a farm. Yes, I said it, the food sucks there! Smart show attendees know better than to settle for eating sub par fast food options, so they head over to the B-Line Diner across the street at the Peabody hotel. I hit it up for lunch today and was so happy that I did. Instead of waiting on line to grab a booth I took a quick seat at the counter which also offers a cool view of the line chefs working the open kitchen. Had the grilled tilapia sandwich. Served on multi grain kaiser bun, cole slaw on top, onion, pickle and broccolini as vegetable choice. Delish! Lots of options on the menu for salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. Very nice diner, big food portion. Good service. Convenient location if you are staying at the hotel. FOOD: - Yogurt Parfait; at the diner the portion was huge, fresh fruits. At room service it was a disaster the fruits tasted bad and old. - Toasts; make sure you tell them butter on the side or they'll put so much butter that I'll be hard to eat it. DRINKS: - We had a regular coffee. Pros: good price, convenient location, clean place, fast service if you eat at the diner. Cons: I highly recommend against room service from them, it took more than 50 minutes to get a toast and a parfait (the toast was cold). Food: I had The Portabella quesadilla and Keylime pie. My food was great there was a seasoned sour cream that came with it. AMAZING! The Keylime pie filling was very very tasty, it wasn't quite a slice of pie in which I thought from what I saw on the dessert case. The crust kind of hard for me (it was a bit hard in a way that could be their signature style) I sat at the bar which was open seating in front of the kitchen staff. I enjoy watching the food being prepped. Really nice how their kitchen staff work so well together! Everything they prepped looked amazing. When my food came up I was just coming back from washing my hands (but because I was a guest and not a worker assuming i spotted my food ready in the window and it was but I let the staff do their job) Unfortunately it was a little disturbing the manager looked right at me, finally picked up my meal but walked right past me and towards the back end of the restaurant, backtracked and then gave me my meal I thought that was kind of awkward because no one else was at the bar on the side I was sitting on. She seemed like something was wrong running my meal then eventually became a little friendlier. The restaurant was pretty busy there were several conferences going on. So my server wasn't as attentive and seemed bothered-ly concerned when someone attend it to me. Kitchen staff most definitely checked in on me as well as my server when he was available to do so. So what I did not care for, is I'm thinking is, there's an automatic 20% gratuity although I was dining alone! I did not keep my receipt, I just assumed the pie was expensive and they charged me for the guacamole I requested in order for my bill to come up to $31 and some change. The next day I noticed on my account there was my food bill, the $6 tip (because tips are put in at the end of the night for most servers, and a $6.33 separate charge which I'm believing was the suggested tip which was apart of the suggested amounts at the bottom of the receipt. There was 3 tip suggestions. By the time I returned home from the trip there was "another" pending $6 on my account. From the time I noticed everything I had went back to the restaurant. They were extremely busy and no one was up front, so I left assuming that everything will calm down by Monday and I'll call when I return home. I called the restaurant several times no answer I reached out to the front desk a young lady took my concern and all of my information it's going on in 48 hours and I haven't heard back from management In the photo, this was the second screenshot when the new $6 amount being pending and the my $6 tip plus the $31 merged after settled bill. First off, they get slammed all the time during conferences unless you go there while everyone is in their meetings. Wanted to come here a few times while staying at the hotel, managed to come once and ended up missing a ton of our meeting cause we ended up staying way over. They felt so bad they gave us free coffee and dessert. Came with a group of six and we all ordered something different it seemed. My food was good but some had issues. But they we slammed like crazy. If you want a sit down breakfast come here. If you're looking for something else, it's a hit or miss when super busy. I'd come again if I were to stay at this hotel. read more

If you're staying in the Peabody hotel, it's a great option because they're open 24/7 - unfortunately my review is only for breakfast (and a few desserts!). I got: - Oscar benedict. Two thin asparagus pieces with juicy lump pieces of crab. The muffins were thick, so I ate half. - Egg white scramble. It's exactly what it is.. egg white scramble with spinach and tomatoes. Comes with veggie patties, fresh fruit, and toast. - Chocolate mouse cake (with big oreo cookie pieces inside).. it's the best mouse cake I've had - but then again i was having an emotional day (and am an emotional eater so anything with chocolate would've been good!). Good for sharing but I had it alllllll to myself :) - Tiramisu cake. It's cute and yummy too! A small portion perfect for 1. - German chocolate cake. Meh, it was OK. Way too sweet, and the slice is good for sharing! They have take out too! Conveniently located in the Hyatt hotel, B Line diner was the only option for a quick bite but I am glad to report they've pretty healthy options although some of the dishes can be hit or miss. I went twice and both occasions I ordered the Tuscan Kale Salad Organic Apples, Shaved Fennel, Dried Cranberries and Toasted Almonds with a White Balsamic and Sesame Vinaigrette One time I had the salad as-is, another time I added salmon as the protein. The waitress claimed the salmon was wild caught. The salmon didn't look or taste wild caught but I have to admit the salad as-is is pretty good if you like light and simple which I do sometimes. On one of the visits I also ordered the 6oz Hyatt Grass-Fed Beef Burger Choice of Cheese, Crisp Lettuce & Tomato on a Toasted Brioche Roll with a Pickle and French Fries. I skipped the cheese and substituted the brioche with a Toasted Wheat Kaiser Roll and the fries with a fruit bowl. The brioche is generally too dry for my taste and sadly the wheat was too dry for me too so I had the burger without the roll and it was really juicy, hearty and good!!!! The fruit bowl was nicely filled with melons and berries and grapes which were refreshing. Finished the meal with a chunky monkey cheesecake which was average to good. I liked the flavors (chocolate, peanut butter, banana) and glad I ate it because I wanted to indulge. It was a layered cake and appropriately dense and moist and creamy. If they're going to offer grass fed beef and wild caught salmon, I wish they would bring back sweet potato fries instead of regular white potato fries... Good vegetarian options as well, such as the stuffed avocado with quinoa which has so much flavor and richness from the avocado that you won't miss the meat! They have some really nice touches, like the creamy sauce for the portabella quesadilla or the toppings on the fish taco. Unfortunately service left some to be desired. Our first night, our server seemed a bit scattered. He didn't remember which beers were no longer available and handed our meals to the wrong people in our party. Minor things. The second night, I requested a beer list and the server and I went back and forth about the available beers before he finally responded to my initial request for a beer list...by handing me a beer list. So many good things to say about this Diner!... The best part is that they serve you extra milkshake in the metal container just like the diner in the town I grew up in. Friendly service 24/7, this is the perfect spot to hang with friends/co-workers/conference attendees and grab a bite. didnt want to leave the hotel for lunch so i stopped in at this place. The cool thing is they have a take out window so you dont have to wait too long to get a sandwich. I ordered the turkey reuben with fries. It was better than i thought since i like the classic reuben better than a turkey one. They had just the right mix of sauce/meat/bread ratio. The chicken tenders werent very good so i would stay away from them. Weird breading and not much flavor. It is a little overpriced but that is what you expect at a hotel. 3-3.5 stars is a fair review. read more

I have to say this is one of my favorite breakfast joints in the world and it also happens to be in one of my favorite hotels, the Hyatt Regency Orlando. Sure the service was slow when I last dined two months ago but the feeling of an old diner plus the hashbrowns on a nice cook top stove is bar none. I have watched the B line transition over the past 12 years. I used to love to come and eat their pot pie, their amazing tomato bisque soup, and many more items. Every few years they change the menu and unfortunately every transition seems to get worse and worse. I used to spend a lot more money within the hotel because of their great menus and now I'd rather leave the hotel and find an outside restaurant. This morning they charged me four dollars for a cup of coffee while I sat at the bar and not once did they offer to refill the coffee cup. Not cool! read more

They had an elaborate selection of cakes, pies, and other pastries although I did not partake in these. I got a burger to go, and it was pretty standard and came with the fixin's (lettuce, tomato, onions) and some tasty thin fries. My friend had a boozy milkshake and she said it was pretty tasty. The service was fast, and the people working were friendly. It has a really nice diner-feel. Convenient diner if you're staying at the Hyatt. We each had the BLT and while I wasn't totally blown away, it was a pretty decent BLT. I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I think the bacon jam/spread they use is just a little too much bacon. It's a pretty big sandwich and I only ate half. Despite management changes over the years, decades even, the B-Line diner never fails to deliver good food at a good price with exceptional service. And the best desserts in town hands down. Getting in the hotel is more difficult because of the traffic and having to park but if you are in the area and want a slice of Americana, it's the B-Line for me every time. read more

Both times I have eaten here I have found the food to be very good and the staff to be highly motivated and always on the move. They offer typical diner fare including all day breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, and of course the burgers! You can sit at the bar and eat as you watch them cook up all the meals or sit at a table in the diner. I have to agree with everyone here: I'm glad this diner was here, but after passing those delicious looking deserts in the case, I thought the food might be a bit better. First of all, and this is really random, if you are sat in the back, there is a dome thing that makes your voice echo...echo....echo.... and it's kinda trippy. I wanted to catch up with an old friend in a causal setting, and I couldn't get past hearing myself in this weird echo spot (like when you have a head cold and everything is so much louder) but this was a small thing, so I digress.... Ordered the mahi sandwich with fries. The fries were awesome, sandwich, not so much. A small piece of fish and some slaw, but the bun on the bottom got so soggy (I don't even know what from!) that when I cut it in half, it fell apart. No big deal if it tasted good I guess, but it wasn't great. My friend ordered a ham sandwich was brought turkey instead (she said it was no big deal as she was starving, but then brought just a plate of ham to make up for it, LOL.) Our server was awesome and besides the sandwich mishap was super friendly, but we peaced out of there pretty quick to hit up one of the other bars. 2nd star is because they do serve beer in here! Would I go back? If I had been traveling all day and didn't want to check out any of the other places in the hotel, or since it is 24/7 if everything else was closed. B-Line Diner is a solid 3 stars in my book. The food is just okay, but its positives are its prices and convenience. Truth be told, a little pricier than what you would expect from a typical diner, but in comparison to the other restaurants at the Hyatt, this place is cheaper by far. Not to mention, it's open 24 hours and just a minute's walk from the rooms. I suggest you grab food to-go here rather than order room service since they have overlapping menu items and room service tacks on an exorbitant fee. For people traveling for business, this place is really convenient. I went here after a long flight and ordered the grilled chimichurri hanger steak ($25) since I was starving. Came with fries and an arugula salad with tomatoes and avocado. In my opinion, this was disappointing. I ordered the steak medium rare and it turned out to be too rare. The steak also lacked flavor even with the chimichurri sauce. The salad was barely dressed and when they say avocado, they mean like 2 little cubes. I don't recommend this dish at all. Being busy most of the time there, I ended up eating at B-Line Diner a few times. The grilled chicken sandwich ($15) at lunch is pretty good and filling and their tuscan kale salad ($12), which is available both lunch and dinner, is refreshing and delicious. The vegetable papardelle ($16) is hearty with a decent tomato sauce, but unfortunately, the pasta was a bit undercooked. They didn't offer parmesan cheese either although I didn't ask. Overall, decent food and convenient. Definitely would go back if I'm staying at the Hyatt again. read more

Things were uh, a little hazy for me after the Huey Lewis concert at the Hyatt Orlando, what with endless bourbon flowing all night long. Somehow I had the wherewithal to stumble into the B-Line Diner before the long walk back to the Hilton Orlando where I was staying. Judging by the photo I took, it looks like I ordered a really good grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. And my friend, whom I was apparently talking to on the phone the whole walk back, told me I was raving about how good it was. (While complaining that Huey Lewis was a surly jerk earlier at the after party where we were all hanging out.) I guess that makes me a fan. (Of the diner, that is. They do have some great food. I stayed at the Hyatt for a long weekend and we ate here a lot mostly because it was most accessible and it was 24hours. There was usually no wait at all to be seated (I've eaten there 3x all at different hours) Their breakfast dishes is pretty good but that's not what I'd go back for. On my last morning there, I had the Kale salad. It was beautifully presented with cranberries and crunchy slices of granny smith, and was surprisingly flavorful simply topped with a thick vinaigrette. They had an Avocado and Quinoa salad that was pretty good too but Kale was better. Don't be fooled by their double digit pricing, their portions are generous. The only issue I really had is the service. Staff are not around nor very attentive, you wait for a long time for service when you need it, it can be very frustrating if you're in any hurry, so I would recommend coming here only if you have all the time in the world. I found this place while looking for a quick snack and feeling on the verge of starvation. I was pleased with the service and atmosphere. The staff was very engaging and very very attentive. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! My sandwich came with a plate full of fries that was more than filling and delicious. I'm a pretty big guy and to say it was a good amount of food is saying a lot. I was very happy I had the chance to dine there and I would go again the next time I'm in Orlando. Nice diner atmosphere and food choices. Nothing over the top. Nothing too fancy. It is a resort hotel restaurant, so prices were a bit high.

Best reasons to go: 24 hour service and lack of any real alternative at the hotel or convention center. (Which itself was nearly a one mile walk from my room at the Hyatt to the place we were meeting.) The food is meh. I had the grilled cheese and bacon sandwich two days in a row. Not only were they pretty different (one had thick bread, one had regular; one had more cheese, one had less), they were both cold when served. I think the combination of Florida air conditioning, slow service, and weak heat-lamps adds up to cold food. read more
