Order their Chinese chicken salad. I love the flavor of the wonton skins, carmelized. The dressing is soooo tasty. I've tried their teryaki and curry bowls and those are great too. The secret is their grill, which makes those deep grill lines in the meat. If you order one of the double portions, it's wayyy to much food unless you're really really really hungry. They are located conveniently off of San Gabriel Blvd and Huntington Drive. Too bad there are only one of these, or only one that I know of. I wish they were located everywhere. This is the review for their shrimp bowl. First off, the sauce that they have for my shrimp looks like they poured soup into the shrimp bowl... yeah soup not sauce which is way too much. There is a line between enough and too much.. because of their excessive sauce, it ended up soaking to go bag and guess what it leaked out all over my car seat. It is suppose to be a healthy option because it is grilled fish. However, I always drown my dish in the teriyaki sauce that they give me. I love bmans. The food us fresh n quality. Their burgers gives any other a run for its money. The teriyaki. Sauce is king made from real honey. The biggest reason I go their is the owner Byron donates about 200 lbs of chicken a week to help feed the homeless. He actually goes and helps in the feeding. Great guy, great food. Menu is large and consists mainly of burgers & bowls (protien + rice). You can get beef, chicken, fish, or shrimp. Service is very quick - these guys turn out food at an amazing pace. Food quality is very good for the price point. One important item to note is that the portion sizes are HUGE. For less than $30, we got enough food for 2-3 meals. read more

After living in SGV for 20+ years, this is my first time visiting B-Man's. Driven past it many times, but didn't want to try it out. So me and my wife decided to try the ABC burger and Chicken curry bowl and curry fries. Ummm, the burger was good but the patty was kind of thin. I should have ordered teri chic bowl instead since I had the curry fries already (curry overload). The curry fries was a wierd combo, but edible, no bad, but I was expecting more. This place has the best teriyakis! The other night the hubby and I couldn't decided what to eat so we were just gonna go to one of our regular places. When we go there I was like I know what I want, I want B-Man's and off we went. We got the combo plate $10, which is plenty for two to share. If you want extra sauce on the side they will charge you but they are more than willing to add more on your order. We did that one time but it was way too much so we don't ask for it anymore. I also asked for potato salad instead of the the macaroni salad. Everything was just perfect!! Nothing to complain about except the fact that I was so full afterward. We finished the whole thing!! So I had the chicken bowl.with steamed rice and a chicken skewer. Honestly, I thought it was okay. What stood out was the blandness of the rice. Albeit, steamed rice doesn't have a lot of flavor to begin with, but this rice was a -2 on the flavor scale. The chicken bowl meat was so-so. The skewer meat had his seasoning but it was sparse. I wanted to try this place after I read the rave reviews about it in the Pasadena Star during "Cheeseburger Week." I got the teriyaki burger that was mentioned in the article and it was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I have had better burgers at some of the restaurants that were mentioned in the article and I have to say that I liked the other burgers as much or more than B-Man's. I only gave them a two, because I tired the teriyaki chicken bowl and it was terrible. The rice was under cooked and crunchy; the chicken was cold and grisly; and over all the bowl lacked flavor. We had been here a couple of times on Entertainment Book coupons, but actually drove 15 minutes to pay full price. After spending $38 on three teriyaki bowls, some fries and some Spam musubi, I couldn't believe they actually tried to charge us extra for teriyaki sauce. I mean, it's not like they precisely measure out your first allotment, do they? My husband went up to the counter to ask for a little more and the clerk screamed at him in a shrill voice "That'll be 38 cents more!" He just threw the little paper cup at her in disgust and walked away. After we ate, he went up to tell them how disappointed we were that we could get ketchup, Srichacha, soy sauce or any other sauce we wanted but NOT TERIYAKI SAUCE at a teriyaki place. They refused to apologize and actually went on and on for about 10 minutes about how they were right to deny us their precious sauce. They also said that if he had stayed at the counter after her first rude comment and given her his bowl she would have put some more on the bowl rather than in the little paper cup. But he had the nerve to walk away and sit all of five feet from her, where she couldn't bother to explain this bizarre sauce policy. Huh? The whole thing is simply rude and DISGUSTING and a policy that I'm sure the health inspectors would love to hear about. (Are you reading this L.A. County restaurant graders?) We've decided it's best to just buy a jar of teriyaki sauce, grill some chicken on the George Foreman and skip the attitude at B-man's, which apparently stands for B-a-jerk-to-your-customers. read more

I have been coming here for 12 years or so. I either get the chicken bowl or the teriyaki chicken sandwich. I have never gotten a bad bowl, I get it with the macaroni salad but after reading the reviews I'm going to try the potato salad with it. This review is about the sandwich because no one has mentioned it so far. It is a great sandwich with lots of grilled chicken on it. I eat half one day and the rest the next day so the price is great too! I get the teriyaki on the side in order to save the construction of the sandwich. There is creamy mayo, crisp lettuce, tender tomato and a few shards of sweet onion that make it all come together. They also have China Mist Green Iced Tea. I'm going there right now! This place is always crowded during lunch hours, but the food does not take long at all as they are extremely efficient in the kitchen. Hello Yelp world, This is my first review, i never thought i would ever use this site but the service at this place drove me to it!! Since 1 star is the lowest you can give, here it is! Well, my major complaint with this place is the "CUSTOM SERVICE", I went there on a Sunday 2/9/2014 to be exact... And truth be told is was a little busy. So, i come in to a short line of about 5 people, for a Sunday not to bad at a fast food joint. So i place my order only "CHESE BURGER and CHILI CHESE FRIES" thats it thats all, really simple right??? So i get my number it was 07 they were only at 01 at the time i got the number, so i was in for a little wait, which was to be expected for a weekend... So i waited and waited and they called from 01 to 17, skipping my 07. Well after at least 20min or more i decided to go up to the counter to ask about my order, it was very obvious they forgot my order! So i when i asked the lady at the counter about my order, this BITCH had the nerve to give me a major attitude!!! like i did something wrong!!! She said it's coming! With a mean look on her face and loud voice!!! When i looked over at the grill NOTHING was cooking!!! So after everybody realizing they forgot me and my order they decided to put a burger down... At that point it was almost 30min since i ordered! So i had enough and asked for a refund! You know what, i worked these fast food type of jobs as a kid... Even though everybody back there 30+!!!! Or older!!!! So i know things can get a little bit hectic at busy times. But this was a easy fix... A little guest service and honesty admitting they forgot to make my order, would have gone a long way! Like I'll make you a fresh one, it won't take that long, "SORRY" for the wait. Instead this BITCH calling the orders gave me MAJOR attitude! It's very obvious there no GUEST SERVICE training at this place. So don't go here if you want good food in a timely fashion!!!
