Teriyaki chicken & beef plate
James W.

Fantastic quick & casual spot. Crossover of a charbroiler and bowl spot. The teriyaki burger is great as well as all the different fry variations. I really love the meat and rice bowl/plates. You get a ton of food for the cost and the proteins are packed with flavor and that grill taste. It makes going to one of the chain bowl spots pointless. Grab this for a lunch and some leftovers or a quick weeknight dinner.

This is what the Korean beef bowl should look like but that was 2 months ago.

I've been a loyal customer before B'Mans opened when his Dad owned Spikes Teriyaki Bowl across the street from Gabrielino High School. The teriyaki and Curry bowls were my fav. Then B'Mans opened and introduced my to Kalbi Korean Beef rib bowl. Not long ago i was disappointed with the tiny beef rib portions and I almost gave up. Tonight i decided to give it another try and wow, the ribs are larger the quality is still amazing, online ordering was very easy and I'm happy to say that, Thank you B'Mans for listening and I can't wait to go back for more. Thanks again. David

Teriyaki Chicken breast with coleslaw

It's been a long time since I've eaten here, and was recently passing by and decided to stop in with the family. From what I remember, this place was amazing, but not today. Staff was friendly enough, We ordered so many things on the menu and the only thing that tasted good was the frozen thawed out French fries. The chicken curry tasted very weird., teriyaki chicken all breast with only coleslaw not sure if it was the chicken or the teriyaki sauce that had a foul smell. ABC Burger was OK., chicken skewers were let down, and Korean short ribs didn't have much flavor to them. Even the dumplings did not taste good at all. None of us finished our food, and we all complained about the food having a weird smell. I'm not willing to give this place Another chance, it was that bad. Better luck to those who are braver than I.

My girlfriend brought me here to grab some sandwiches to go. We had just finished breakfast so we weren't ready for lunch but since we were close she brought me to B-Man's Teriyaki to get a couple of sandwiches to take home and eat later. She recommended the chicken Teriyaki as her favorite and their specialty so that's what we ordered. I added avocado and American cheese, she added avocado as well. We ate an order of fries in the car while they were fresh and hot. Good krinkle cut fries with perfect salt. Ordered and paid at the counter, given cups for drinks. Also received a puck that would light up and vibrate when our order was ready. Nice clean, well lit dining area. Sat and enjoyed my drink while we waited for the sandwiches and fries. Everything was done in less than 10 minutes and we were heading home. We ate the sandwiches for dinner and they were very good. Nice chicken. We asked for the sauce on the side since we were going to eat later and that kept the rolls from getting soggy. We enjoyed our sandwiches, id give mine a 4.5 out of 5, it would have almost certainly been a 5 if we'd eaten them at B-Man's hot and fresh. Id definitely return and next time eat there for the freshest experience.

Consistently great food and service. Items of choice ABC burger, Teri Fries, Curry Bowl, Teriyaki Bowl. Highly recommend this location. So sad to see the Duarte location disappear. Extra points to the staff who decorated for Halloween. Shows a lot of thought and effort went into it. Great job!!!

I was getting bob at Half and Half next door and knew wanted to try out B-Man's Teriyaki. I liked the huge menu and options for everybody. Ordered at the counter a ABC burger and chili fries small. The food came out quick and service was friendly. I liked the burger and the sauce made it better. The chili fries were different than your usual chili fries. The chili had a slight sweet curry taste to it. Next time, I would ask the fries to fried a bit crispier. Can't wait to try other things on the menu.

This review is for some catering that I picked up from the restaurant. Not the chicken! I'm only rating for their service and prices. I did some shopping before I finally found B-man's. I had a work event with a budget. I ordered pans of rice and macaroni salad from their establishment. My order was ready on time and the rice and macaroni salad were a hit. I definitely will be coming back to check out their other food. But if you're looking for catering definitely check them out as their prices were the best in the El Monte/San Gabriel area! The guys worked with me and were helpful when it came to my questions. I really appreciated the service and patience!

I think this might be mold too

I got the Teri chicken bowl and a drink. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. When I'm in the area I would def come back. Everything was great EXCEPT, the one thing I couldn't get past was the amount of MOLD buildup on the soda dispenser. And the more I sat in the lobby, the more I noticed how dirty it is. It made me contemplate getting a drink at all even after I already paid for one. It's very noticeable and not a good thing at all. I GET ITS HARD TO KEEP CLEAN, BUT IT SHOULD BE A PRIORITY! I'm trying really hard to not think about what the kitchen could potentially look like and I'm hoping that that is not the case. Kind of ruined my appetite.

What a great visit with the good old buddy today after visiting a sick friend in the hospital, we decided to make a pitstop. It was like going back in the time with the flavors The food is always good here and the service was great as well. No complaints. Food came out in a timely manner and the place was spotless. I only have one gripe... Gotta get better chairs . That being said, see you soon.... Thank you for the great lunch !

Geez I would give it five stars for the food alone but really I got double Mac I told him okay for cabbage salad and Mac never said I wanted more Mac just extra sauce. I was sadden I didn't get the cabbage salad. I looked forward to that being my "greens". Who wants more carbs in their life!

B-Mans Teriyaki burgers are very very good, but they are the only thing on the menu that I get. These burgers are worth the wait though!

We ordered the chorizo potato burritos, and they were excellent. They were packed with flavor, generously sized, and my wife couldn't even finish hers. The salsas they served with them were delicious and really tied everything together. We ended up coming back another day to try the burgers, and they were just as impressive. Everything tasted fresh, the burgers were juicy, and the fries were perfectly crispy. This has easily become my new burger spot whenever I'm in the Pasadena area. The drive thru can get pretty busy during peak hours, but the staff works quickly, so the wait wasn't that bad. I love old school burger joints and the vibe from the outside. Surprised by how busy they were; full house even with line on their drive-thru line. The ambiance was like between deli and diner. We got their other favorite, the Pastrami Sandwich, added with bacon. Tad greasy, but the pastrami was indeed luscious. Packed with meat, the portion was actually very filling. I could see why people loved the burrito as I did think I would fancy this served in a wrap better than grilled bread. We got the fried zucchini on the side, whose batter was also flavorful yet would recommend sharing.

Both order the exact same thing, one right after the other. A few minutes later, both orders are called. First guy gets his order and says he needs more red salsa. He gets more salsa, no questions, no charge. Second guy gets his exact same order immediately after. He asks if he can have an extra salsa. He's told it's an extra $0.75. There was no pause, no gap in between the 2 men's interactions. Literally stood next to each other, ordered the same thing, one got free salsa, the other got charged. A table full of people nearby, tilt their heads and cock their eyebrows in disbelief. Free salsa guy happens to be White. Paid salsa guy is Asian. Coincidence? You can decide for yourself. We all know discrimination and prejudice exists. It's an unfortunate part of life. I'm no stranger to it. It's usually not quite this overt. This was a little too blatant to just sweep under the rug. Is having to spend an extra $0.75 a big deal? No. Is blatant discrimination? It's enough to stop supporting this business.

I thought I already reviewed the best burger in Pasadena!…read more On my first visit, a standard burger was $3.95. I forget what it is now-- $6??? As good as this burger is, it's still a deal. Super Burger is owned by a super-nice Korean family. There are various Korean dishes in their menu available but I only go there for the burgers. What makes their simple burgers so great? First off the burger patty-- the patties are formed in-house. The cooked patties have that irregular edge that can only come from being hand-formed; imperfect and delicious. These aren't the frozen discs delivered by a freezer truck. The ratio of the ingredients are ideal. -- The tomato is sliced to the perfect thickness -- The freshly-shredded lettuce doesn't manspread and take up too much of the burger's real estate -- The thousand island dressing marries the freshness of the veggie section to the animal part perfectly -- The burger patty's girth is appropriately balanced for the other ingredients. -- Their buns have that old-school yeast(?) flavor not available in stores. Their burgers are lovingly prepared and assembled with care. This is why whenever I go, there are always people there. Seating is strictly patio style, looking out onto the intersection of Altadena and Villa. There lot is small lot next to the stand. I'm not sure if it's shared with another business. Street parking is available. Even though super burger is basically a corner burger stand with patio seating, the place is always clean. Super Burger is definitely a sure thing. It is the finest example of what a basic, standard burger can be. Bun, burger patty, lettuce, tomato, and dressing doesn't get better than this.

It was always a real treat. As a teenager I dated a couple of the girls that worked there so I was there on the regular in those days. In my 20's I lived right up the street and hit them up quite often. I don't get there as much as I'd like nowadays but when I do, it is always consistently great.
