The dinner reservation required a $20 deposit, which is only charged if you no show. Parking is street or deck (not validated); I spent $14 in the Azure deck. The decor and vibes were nice; there was a DJ playing music on Saturday night. The food was prepared pretty quickly. I had the Kung Katium appetizer and Pad Pong Karee (yellow curry, lump crab, shrimp, peppers). Both were okay; my typical is Panang curry and I wish I had stuck to it or fried rice. My entree (Pad Pong Karee) didn't come with rice or noodles; I had asked my server, but she didn't seem to know the menu well. After the entree got to the table, I had to get a side of rice. My friend enjoyed her entree and drinks. She had the Mama Kee Mao. She said her drinks were good and sweet. She liked the lychee tini and she said the Royal Emerald tasted like a Jollyrancher. Cutesy restaurant with patio seating option. Overall, a bit pricey for a meal I didn't completely enjoy. Gratuity was automatic 18 percent. If I return, I would try something different.

We visited Atlanta for my friend's birthday. She wanted to take lots of pictures and eat great food. BOT was the perfect spot. There was R&B music playing, it's was dim, the food was amazing, and the customer service was top notch. Our food came out fresh, and the drinks were banging. Parking was difficult, but the food made up for it.

Bar of Thailand is almost there and has great service, but a few points were missed for me! Let's get into the overall experience below: Ambiance: 4/10 (entranceway is beautiful and a great photo opportunity, but the vibe is very quiet and a bit low energy) Service: 10/10 (server was extremely sweet and service was quick!) Drinks: 8/10 (good drinks, but nothing super memorable in regard to taste. Love the ornate presentation though and definitely added to the experience) Food: 4/10 (all food was okay but could be personal preference. See below for more specific breakdown) Steam Dumpling 5/10: nice dough texture, filling was slightly bland in flavor. Definitely happy it came with the dipping sauce to help! Fried Calamari 6/10: good texture (not chewy), but I wish the breading was salted a bit more. TomKha Soup (Shrimp) 2/10: I love the creamy mouth feel of this soup but this was extremely too sweet and came out lukewarm Basil Fried Rice (add crispy chicken cutlet) 7/10: chicken cutlet was delicious, and I ordered a side of massaman curry to dip which was a nice addition. Rice was cooked well but also was sweet in taste which wasn't my favorite. Pla Tod 8/10: the best dish for me! Presentation was beautiful and snapper was crispy yet flaky! Sauce was a bit thick and covered majority of dish so wish they offered it on the side just so it didn't overpower the fish. Bonus Don Julio Shots 10/10: the most gorgeous drinkware

My crab fried rice was really good! I recommend adding yum yum sauce. :) Service was great, just a little tightly packed inside & outside under the tents. Beautiful on the inside, great for taking cute pictures!

Just stop what youre doing and go! From start to finish, top tier experience and food. I hate Atl restaurants who think a grass wall is half the battle - this place is pretty AND delicious. I didn't have an appetizer because two desserts looked enticing and I wanted to make sure I had space for one. I had the stir fry noodle dish with mussels, calamari and shrimp and it was SO GOOD. i asked for That hot spice level, and my lips were tingling in pleasure. such amazing flavor and the noodles were ramen-esque. The lychee tea was so refreshing and the right amount of sweet. Now the dessert, a butterfly pea sticky rice with mango ice cream, fresh mango pieces and pistachios. Honey - NOWHERE in atl thailandia are the desserts topping this! Service was attentive and friendly, well earned the automatic 18% lol.

3.5 stars but rounding up to 4 Tips for if you plan on coming: - ride share is the best bet. parking is only street parking or the garage which I think is $26 maybe more. No valet. - if you're celebrating a birthday or anything they charge you $20 if you bring your own cake - they can do multiple tabs Bar of Thailand has been on my radar for a bit because I love Thai food but i was hesitant because we know the deal with Atlanta restaurants with grass walls. However, I was pleasant surprised by both the food and the service. I got the basil Thai rolls as my appetizer and they were a very light airy starter. Came with 4 so shareable but not super shareable. I would probably get these again. For my entree I got the smoked duck panang curry. The curry was sweet and savory as most panang curry is and the duck had a crispy like outer shell with a chewy inside. I thought it was flavorful and I think it was a good portion size. It may look small but I was able to take some to go. Most of my table ended up getting the basil fried rice which I heard different opinions about. Some said it was too salty and dry and ended up ordering a side of yum yum sauce to go with it ($4 extra which was a bit weird but go off). Others thought it was fine as is. The portion size for the fried rice was LARGE so I definitely could see two people splitting it. Overall, cute ambiance and aesthetically pleasing if you decided to take pics.

Im going to tell you right now Im here for the fried rice‼ Best Thai food I have had in ATL so far! I went on a Tuesday around 6:00PM. Location It is located near Piedmont Park in a suite on the corner of a tall building. There are flowers on the front to help identify the place, but it is still hard to find while driving. The restaurant is facing a one way street so navigation was annoying. I pasted the place 2 times before I realized where it was. Parking is typical ATL trash- on the street. There is 2 hour parking next to the building however it is only 7AM to 7PM. I found free parking a block up along the street. This was my first time visiting this place. Even though it was after work on a tuesday the place was nearly empty. My party was the only one there for a good minute. So we had some good Peace and Quiet Total was $159.90 () I got 4 Strawberry Margaritas , 2 bottled waters, Thai Chicken Wings, Smoked Duck Panang , Cucumber Salad, 2 Basil Fried Rice. Pricing is average for downtown ATL. Get a lot- spend a lot. Most entrees in the high teens or low twenties. One person will spend at least $20-$40 here on one meal. Gratuity is included regardless of party size. Pros: Happy Hour! Ends at 7:00PM if I'm not mistaken. Week days only. Drinks and appetizers from $7. I ordered 4 as soon as I walked in before the price went up. Even though it was after work on a tuesday the place was nearly empty. My party was the only one there for a good minute. So we had some good Peace and Quiet Even when people came in it never got really loud. The food was great I must say! The cucumber salad was fresh. I loved how they cut the cucumber giving it ridges and the salad dressing they used was delicious and rich. Not like other places who give watered down dressing and badly chopped veggies. The rice!! Baby I will be BACK for that rice! It was SO good! The rice was cooked hibachi style (fresh off stove) with the perfect amount of flavor! Some thai food can be too strong with herbs or really spicy but this one was PERFECT! The fried rice is definitely one of those dishes you get to-go anytime you are near! The service was great! Our waitress made sure to continuosly check on us and kept us up to date on waiting time for the food. She gave suggestions and was very friendly. I love how they didnt ignore us because we were the only ones in the restaurant. A+ Cons: That parking is going to KILL it everytime I tell you! No one wants to struggle to find parking just to eat. They need to run a valet, obtain a lot somewhere, or give a map/clear instructions on where to park in the area. Would I Recommend: If you can find a parking space then it's a no brainer! Yes! Definitely go! If you want to just pull up and eat without a parking hassel and walking- I would not recommend due to location.

My boss took our office here for Admin day! As soon as I saw this place my eyes lit up. It was so pretty. The abundance of flowers and decorations just draws you in. The bartender did not play any games when it came to those drinks. Good and strong just how I like it. We ordered a variety of appetizers. From calamari to veggie rolls. Everything was very good. My main course, I ordered the noodles with shrimp and black mussels! A HIT! Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. We took pictures, laughed and enjoyed our evening celebration. I will be back!!

Food was great. You're able to get varying spice levels for your dish. All four dishes we tried didn't disappoint basil fried rice with veggies, massaman nue , jumbo crab fried rice, and others.. delish.. everything taste great . The atmosphere is nice, music was great. We stayed awhile just to hear the jams.

The place was cute but I think previous videos made it look better on the inside. However, the dj was nice and the music wasn't too loud. It's a little smaller inside than I thought it would be. We had a mix up with our table and we're asked to sit outside but ended up at the bar. The bar was of course busy but the service wasn't too made. Happy the lychee martinis actually had the fruit on top but they were really sweet for my liking. The chicken dumplings were nice and the mama kee mao was just okay. It reminded me of Ramen noodles with a little spice and seafood. I would go back and order different things, maybe. 18% on every check.

The food was delicious! I ordered the curry brisket it was delicious. The decor is nice as well. Our waiter was really good. I went on a Saturday they had a DJ he was really good. Parking is awful the restaurant itself is very small. I ordered the fried rice and the portion size was extremely small for the price. They add 20% gratuity for groups of ten people and they don't take Apple Pay even though they have the machine to do it. Overall the food was delicious. Just wish parking and prices changed.

They have quickly become my favorite place to get Mexican food. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located on Buford Highway in a small shopping plaza. The lot is medium sized, but they are sharing it with a few other businesses, and depending on the night it could definitely be hard to find a spot so keep that in mind. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is decently sized with both booths and regular tables. There are beautiful paintings hung all over, and the decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. Atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Food and drinks Now the menu here is massive. Take your time and prepare to be overwhelmed, because everything sounds amazing. Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. You're welcome. 3rd visit - Fajitas Fajitas Texanas, with steak chicken and shrimp. There are 7 different combinations of sides that you can get. We got white rice, salad, and charro beans. This can also be shared, which my wife and I did. Speaking of the charro beans, they have the best beans I have ever had. For drinks I got the supreme regular mango margarita. My wife got strawberry. Both great. Service Food came out fast, but other than that the service was a little slow. Our waitress was nice, but it did seem that she forgot about us for a little while. The food was so good that I forgave it, plus at the end of the day I got everything I needed. Verdict If you're looking for amazing food and drinks, this is absolutely the place to get it. It just might end up being your favorite too! Until next time!

I didn't try a normal taco, so not sure if there's a notable difference in the tortilla, but I thought the pastor taco was solid as well. I felt like perhaps it was lacking a little in flavor? But I do appreciate the amount of meat that's given. The slices of pineapple are nice as well - very authentic. Throughout my dining experience, most customers were picking up/taking orders to go. We waited only a few minutes and was able to navigate the small lot to get a spot. There is a designated window for pre-orders and walk-ups have a separate line. Ordering was easy as we got a chance to preview the paper menu, and we were given a card to place on our table once we found it. There was plenty of seating options despite the full lot, but it was nice out so a lot of people were out on the patio with views of the busy intersection. The decor was modern and airy. I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
