    Gumbo was good

It's a Big No for me. I'm sure there's a market for this type of atmosphere, with very loud music and people screaming over the music to attempt to talk. The food is basic, mediocre, and nothing special. No server, no greeter, and no one came to the table to do checks. Had to get up quite a few times to get condiments, get plastic wear had to get my own to go box. Because the Togo box fell on the floor in the young lady hand & she insisted on giving it to me. The same young lady @ the register was very unexperienced unprofessional @ the register taking orders and on her OWN phone very visible on her phone. Texting, whoever. I don't think the food could improve its just their standard. The food came out slow & unorganized with the table orders.

10/10 Food came out fast and fresh.I was acknowledged when I walked in and given the workflow instructions for ordering. Thesuggestions was GUMBO. So I came here to see what the hype is for. My son and I came here for cake but I never was able to try the food. The gumbo was chefs kiss! Seasoned so good. I drunk all the lil juice out the sample bowl. O know it seems greedy but that's how much I enjoyed the spot.I loves me a Good Dark Roux gumbo!

My family dined at the restaurant on Sunday, August 10, and loved the brunch. I asked my daughter to order a Redfish Rampart and catfish with grits for my son. I didn't anticipate any issues when I picked up the food outside the restaurant. However, when I got home and prepared to eat, I was taken aback by how unappetizing my plate looked. It was watery, lacked flavor, and looked like a kid had fixed my plate. After being a loyal customer for years, I expressed my concerns. I contacted the owner at (504) 224-3906 and sent a text message, stating, "Hi, I wanted to reach out about my takeout order because this isn't..." I expect my feedback to be taken seriously, as I have always supported this business. This is definitely bad business and unacceptable.

Visited this restaurant when I was in New Orleans. We were told this place had the best gumbo by someone who was local. It seemed like the owner was an African American woman who also was the cook, waitress, and cashier all in one. The place was full of pink color and they had a cash register with a glass display of sweets adjacent to it. There were big pictures of the owner all over the store front. We ordered the gumbo. I thought it was average. Nothing really special about this gumbo to be honest. I did like the use of crab in the dish but wish they didn't put a crab leg in there. The sweet potato stuff beignets were AMAZING. These beignets are a must get. They tasted fresh out the oven. I really liked how it had nuts on top of the beignets. The sweet potatoes were a nice consistency inside and very gooey. The whipped cream on this dish was amazing as well.

Went to B Sweet Bistro from a tip. It was a great tip! Black Owned restaurant, nicely decorated, service was good and the food was delicious The owner came out to check on us to make sure everything was good and we were satisfied. I would definitely go back again when in New Orleans.

While in New Orleans in celebration of our 21st wedding anniversary, my hubby and I, had a list of NOLA restaurants that we wanted to check out because they each were highly rated for their authentic food. B Sweet Bistro & Bakery was one of those highly rated restaurants and after getting to taste the DELICIOUS-NESS for ourselves (visited on Saturday, 09/28/2024), we are in total agreement w/ this assessment! Here is why I'm giving B Sweet Bistro & Bakery, a well deserved five-star Yelp review: 1.) Food: We ordered the Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo, Seafood Beignets stuffed with Crabmeat, and for dessert, a slice of "Wife Me Bride Cake" to go. Every dish was fresh, hot, full of flavor, and had the best plated presentation! Of course, I had to wash everything down with a refreshing mimosa drink! (okay, it was two drinks ;) 2.) Customer Service: Kudos to the talented chef, who is also the owner! She came out to greet us & ask how everything was w/ our food. We of course had no complaints, other than I ate way toooo much food & now my jeans were feelin' just a bit more tighter then when I walked in!! :) She really was super nice & we really appreciated her taking the time to talk w/ us. 3.) Vibes: Eating at B Sweet Bistro & Bakery, really is a WHOLE VIBE! From the R&B music playing overhead that makes you want to dance while you're eating ;), the super cute pink decor, & the huge painted "704 Rampart"wall mural that makes for an awesome photo backdrop (see pic included in this review of my hubby & I striking a pose in front of the mural during our visit) Additional Helpful Tidbits: -- parking: B Sweet Bistro & Bakery is located on N. Rampart St. (across from Louis Armstrong Park) w/ street parking all along the street. We got lucky on the day we visited & found a parking spot right away, located directly across the street. -- indoor seating only To sum it up, you are missing out if you haven't yet visited B Sweet Bistro & Bakery! Till next time! Rebecca visiting from Austin, Texas

Omg!!!! Let me just say the food here was the best I had during my vacation to New Orleans!!!!!!!!!! Those boudin balls were DELICIOUS!!!! Full of so much flavor... crunchy on the outside and soft / moist in the inside. I wish I wouldn't bought more. The wings were delicious also. Well seasoned and I loved the sweet n spicy sauce on it. The wait time after ordering wasn't long either. This spot was such a vibe!

One of my go-to spots for fried fish plates and desserts! Everything I've tried here has been delicious. The gumbo, cornbread, fried wings, king cakes, and stuffed cakes are all made to perfection. I usually grab my order to-go, but they do have a seating area if you want to dine in. They make custom cakes which I ordered one for a birthday, and it was a hit. I bought a praline king cake for my friends and that went quick and everyone enjoyed! For authentic food in the Quarter, I always recommend B Sweet Bistro

i always make sure to stop by this place when in town! not the most cozy ambience, but still cute for a cloudy day and the customer service is always sweet and efficient. haven't actually sat down to eat food here yet (i definitely must!) but so far the mini king cake, little cakes, and mini sweet potato pies have been killer. be sure to shop this black owned business when looking for a sweet treat!!

Hot sausage po'boy + 704 wings (sweet flavor)

My food came out hot and fresh. I LOVED the 704 wings! You have to try those. That sauce baby! Oh my. I came in 30 minutes prior to closing so they were nice enough to pack my food in to go boxes and let me stay up until they closed. I'd come here again and again for those wings. Shout out to the young man taking orders at the counter- so sweet and professional at what he's doing! Kudos to the chef for my delicious food.

In in town for essence festival and I needed something quick and not too heavy to put in my stomach before I headed to the convention center and so I stopped by B Sweet Bistro. I believe I hear someone mention it on Instagram as a spot with really good gumbo so I came to try it for myself. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the owner and she helped ring me up. The establishment is very cute and girly and they sell desserts and sweets along with beignets. They also had a brunch menu as well. Now I will say, it didn't seem that busy to me when I came in(about 11AM on a Friday) but it took almost 30 minutes for my food to come out and all I ordered was a small bowl of gumbo. I'm giving grace though because it's essence weekend. I asked one of the young men to check in my food and they upgraded me to a full bowl of gumbo for the wait. I will say I guess jr was worth the wait because this was probably one of the best bowls of gumbo I had on my visit.

Leaving out heading to the airport and had one more stop and I'm so glad we did stop The outside of the restaurant is bustling with some much activity with all the surrounding attractions . Parker's across the Restaurant and walked in and immediately met the owner . She was extremely nice but also handling her business. This is , I loved the way the customer services was rendered by the cashier and I let her know that . But on to the food ... I ordered the red beans and rice , 704 wings , Seafood Beignets stuffed with Crabmeat, Shrimp and that Crawfish cream sauce . My only dislike the wings needed a little season maybe a tad bit more salt and pepper to make that sauce on them wings explode !!! I love the detail in the food and the experience I had . I'm so glad I was able to eat and see it's worth it . Brittney was amazing and at the end of our meal she was happy to talk and even take a picture with us . So I def recommend 10 out 10

Left a local museum and this restaurant came highly recommended. Most things were unavailable on the menu as it was the end of the day and they were about to close. It was quiet and roomy. The owner was there taking orders and preparing for the next day. She was personable and joked with us the whole time. I ordered the crabmeat beignets. They were full, rich and flavorful, lots of complex flavors that went well together and you could actually see and taste the seafood meat in it. I tasted the gumbo and it was the best gumbo I ever had. Full of meat and just the right amount of seasoning that will have you thinking about it weeks later. I was glad for the recommendation and can't wait to come back and visit.

Fish and grits swimming in creole sauce. I wish I would have taken a pic of what I left on the plate. Which was 80% of the for.

The end we came in from started with food and there are beignets, oysters, boils, crawfish, and a whole bunch of other options. There is something for everyone to eat here. From the moment you walk into this space, what you are confronted with is tons of all kinds of great and unique everything. Much of it is not only sold by local artisans, but made by them, as well. French market is predominantly an open air location. What you will find here are small shops that each offer a very unique collection of items that are very specific to their own shop. The items that are sold here span the gambit from jewelry, to artworks, to ethnic pieces that represent the culture from where the shop owner comes from. There is really a lot of everything at the French Market. Meaning, this is a great place to get that really unique gift that you wanna get for that special someone or to find that unique piece of whatever that you will personally use. As there are numerous shops here, each business provides a unique buying experience. Each one represents what they offer, and do it from their own perspective. From this, you'll find some shop merchants that are super friendly, very cordial, and more than willing to make deals with you. Others, not so much. But, that's what makes this location truly interesting. All the personalities that make up this shopping establishment. More than simply a place to shop for gifts, artworks, souvenirs, and the like, French Market also offers some great food stalls. So, if you need a snack, drink, or even a full meal, you can find it here. As this is open air, in the summer, it can get kinda hot inside this establishment. This is not bad or good, this is just something to keep in mind. This is the same during the winter months. You can't get kind of cold in there. But, at least from my perspective, that's a little bit easier to deal with. You just have to wear a jacket. Overall, this is one of the main stays of NOLA. It's truly a must see location. And, for people who know the city well, this is a place to go to when you want to find that truly unique item. Truly, you never know what you'll find.
