Best burger ever. Statement is made by many all across the country. This one has a beautifully seasoned beef patty that is juicy and a perfect size. They don't "overcompensate" for flavor by serving you a gigantic mound of meat. Brioche bun, cheese and a little ketchup is all you need. Don't bog this bad boy down with mayo and silliness. This is about the beef. Don't even get me started about their house pickled peppers....yum. Service is good, wines and beers are chosen with great thought. B2 is really a great place. The multiple times I've come I've always been very interested in their choices for the menu, they always come up with something playful yet inviting. The staff there is incredibly sweet, and you always leave full and satisfied. They also have a beautiful bar with an incredible wine list and the restaurant itself is incredibly gorgeous. When we first started coming they had a boar ragu that was to die for, and our most recent favorite (which i believe was a special that night) was a whole roasted fish over a bed of avocado, fresh cherry tomatoes and pea sprouts. Wow! It turned heads. The desserts are always delicious too and trendy and playful. We once had a deconstructed lemon meringue tart, and another time a fireless smore which came in a glass jar filled with smoke. Yum. read more

Kudos to the B2 team - smart & simple inside, lot's of great beers on tap (~18?). My tablemates were nervous looking over the menu, wondering whether they would recognize or eat anything, but with some guidance from our server, we ordered a charcuterie board of 3 meats & 2 cheeses, lingered over that, then shared the polenta of the day and finished off with a trio of sorbets. This is a great place for sharing and sampling. I will be back, and I like that it's away from Broad St and the out-of-towners, and they have their own free parking lot, until the RB boro council of clamheads figures out how to force meters on private parking lots. read more

Everything was perfect! From the food to service they couldn't have done any better. Our waitress was a sweetheart and really took time to explain and give opinions on the menu. A wonderful dining experience. Dinner last night; Mussels steamed in fennel, white wine and saffron-superb, great flavor, perfectly cleaned and cooked; Polenta with goat cheese and shallots-super creamy and smooth; Slow cooked Pig-sort of like a wonderful pulled pork loaf with a wonderful crispy char, flavor and au jus; Brick chicken-very soft and moist, probably brined, nicely flavored and roasted with a crisp finish; Creme brûlée with caramelized peaches-small dish but so good and French Press Coffee. Newbie in town.... Atmosphere was excellent. Cool bar and pub tables. Innovative chef with an interesting menu that changes with the seasons as well as their great beer selection. We had a tapas style appy with cheese, prosciutto, and melon.... You have a list to choose from. Excellent. The brick chicken was delish and my husband had the sea bass with fennel salad that was even better. It looked like they have amazing pizzas and burgers. I read about this place in some NJ newspapers and also I believe in NJ monthly, they made me believe this is something spectacular so I decided to visit it. I am going to start with appetizers,............... octopus was very good, as well as the oysters . Now dinner, I order Pig it was just good but not superb for the money, on the other hand shrimp taco were NOT GOOD at all. cold , tasteless, no garnish NOTHING on them. I make sooooo much better shrimp taco at home, ( maybe sheff wants my recipe. Drinks were just OK. too Too much ice for me, You can't taste the actual drink and we waited at least 25 min to order another drink. Sorry but we will not be back :( read more

Went to B2 for the first time tonight and it was a great experience! We sat at a high top table in the bar - service was friendly and on point. Easy reservations. Nice atmosphere. Our waiter was very good, just attentive enough without being pushy. Nice beer selection. Oysters were very good although a little more expensive than I thought they should have been. However, I think the horseradish cured my congestion. I recommend the blue cheese burger and fries. After reading the reviews , We were so excited to dine here. However it was a total disappointment. The bar offers a few nice speciality drinks , but doesn't offer any top shelf liquor , no Grey goose , kettle, or any other choices..The menu is basic with only a few options , so you would think what they offer should be perfect? Nope.. the appetizers are underwhelming, bland just boring and were served without utensils. The entrees what can I say , find another place to dine, the slow roasted pork arrived cold , congealed and looked like spam, when was it roasted? Last week? This is a cool restaurant with great vibes. We had the special polenta of the night as an appetizer which was so delicious I could've eaten it as my meal. My friend and I then split the burger which was outstanding-no ketchup, no cheese, no lettuce, etc. So good! The beet salad was excellent however we weren't crazy about the milk and cookies dessert. This is a shout-out to Michael, the Maitre D. Every time I've been to B2, his greeting has been so warm that I think he's the owner, which I don't think he is. Whether he is or isn't, he's a great front man for the place on the phone and in person. Handles things well, including when a party or request can't be accommodated, which is really saying something. I'm writing this because I cancelled a rez over the weekend by phone when it didn't look like my OpenTable cancellation had gone through. My Husband and I absolutely love this spot ! It might be the only restaurant we continue to come back to monthly. The food is so good and different. Every season they change their menu and we are never disappointment. Our favorite things are the Chicken Liver Pate (so not something I thought I would be into) and the Mushroom pizza is INSANE.
