I honestly think this is the first review I've ever written, and that should say a lot. I've been to plenty of bad restaurants over the years and usually just move on without saying anything, but this experience was bad enough that I felt like I needed to share it. I ordered a gyro meal and from the moment I opened it, there was a smell that reminded me of old dishwater. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but things only got worse from there. The water coming from the fountain drink machine had a brown tint to it. Maybe it was the lighting, but it definitely didn't look right and wasn't something I felt comfortable drinking. What really bothered me was the condition of the kitchen area that was visible from the front. There was trash on the floor, and I noticed frozen French fries just sitting out in a basket near the counter/sink area. Cleanliness is a big deal when you're paying someone to prepare your food, and what I saw was honestly concerning. The pricing is also misleading. At first glance, it seems reasonable, but the portion sizes are extremely small for what you pay. I spent over $32 on a small gyro, a gyro dinner, and five chicken tenders for my child. The only reason I didn't order a kids meal was because it was $11, which seemed overpriced for a child's meal. The pictures on the website make the food look amazing, but what I received looked nothing like the photos. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. I thought I would go back and try the Gyro one more time. Hoping that they changed their way of cooking the meat. I looked at the rotating spit when I walked in. It was slowly spinning and the light glow of the heating element was on but it wasn't on high enough to even cook the meat. When you order, they cut the meat, which they cut way too thick and they put it on the flat top to heat. The gyro meat does not taste the same this way and they needed to warm it much more. The original owner would be furious with how they serve the gyro meat! If you are looking for a good gyro, forget this place. read more

I went to b52s Thursday evening because I was in the area, I live 30mins away, and picked up 3 gyro dinners for myself and friends. When I got home we discovered there was a dead bug in the salad. I called immediately and was told by the woman that no manager was in and he would call me back tomorrow. The manager Mo did call back Friday, however I missed the call so I called back. He did not return my call, so I called again today (Saturday). I spoke to Mo on the phone and was greeted with the most horrible customer service experience I have ever had. He was defensive, argumentative, and very condescending. I asked for a refund on the order, as none of us ate our food. He refused and said it was my fault for not bringing it back right away. (It was storming really bad out and I called and the staff said he wasn't there so I wasn't going to drive 30 mins in a storm, they didn't ask me to bring it back). After not getting anywhere with him I said I would just post the review online and he said "will that make you happy" in a sarcastic manner, hence why I felt the need to post. read more

We saw B52 from the road. We are on a quest to sample every gyro across Wisconsin! Actually, also we needed outdoor seating for the pooch. On to the gyros. I ordered the chicken gyros and fries. My spouse ordered the gyro dinner. I wish I had ordered the gyro. The chicken was dry and tough. The fries are the crinkle cut type that are not my faves. If you are a Pepsi lover, they serve all Pepsi products . Sorry diet soda drinkers, there's only diet Pepsi. It was blue moon shake night. I've never seen anybody serving blue moon shakes. So that's something to try out. I have a high bar for comfort, Americanized Greek food. Oakland Gyro is still the spot for me outside of Detroit's Greektown. But the outdoor seating was nice and the lavatory was clean. People seemed to enjoy the custard. Great spot for a causal family summer outing. read more

The food is not only delicious, but is also presented very colorfully. I enjoyed the tasty Gyro Dinner, which came with a generous serving of fresh Greek salad and a side of rice pilaf. Next time I am in town, I will get the Spinach Pie, since that is one of my favorite foods. Mediocre. I pass this place all the time and really wanted to try it. It looks super cool from the outside and really draws interest. I walked in and was a little let down. It is outdated and just has that old feel to it. True menu is also gigantic so it took a while to navigate it, figure it out, and decide what I wanted. It was confusing. The service was nice. I'm pretty sure the owner had his kids working because the kid that rang us up was about 12. But they did a nice job, gave you that family feel. The food was also good. This is my first review of B52's, although I have been here about dozen times since moving back to the area in 2016. Usually we frequent B52's for breakfast or to try one of their malts or ice cream specials, which are awesome. Their breakfast falls inline with taste and price comparison of other business offerings. However that will be another review in the near future. Tonight are dinner plans that fell through, so on our way home we stopped at B52's for dinner (takeout). This is the first time ordering dinner or a lunch item, and we were not disappointed with our stop. The fried chicken was juicy and well cooked. However the batter on the chicken was just a bit thicker than I would have liked, think extra-extra crispy. Please don't get me wrong, it was tasty, just a personal choice. My wife's order of the single cheese bomber was reviewed as awesome, according to the silent remarks while watching a DVR'd show. Even though dinner plans fell through at the last minute, our at home date night was just right with me. read more

I Have been reluctant to go here because one of my biggest pet peeves with restaurants in this day and age is no online menu so I'm going to post one. The building has a mock air port tower which has always caught my eye. The place looked clean as far as I could tell with nothing standing out, even a real plate above the trash area where the plastic trays would go. The whole interior is aviation heavy with planes everywhere you look and it is kind of neat. This place Is clearly the area hang out for the older crowd because the customers and staff new each other by name I noticed during the short time I waited for take out. I can definitely see the charm as a community hang out place with the comfort food menu and cold treats in an aviation theme setting. The place is deceiving because it looks like a gyro and burger place but the menu is huge with full Greek place offerings with dinners that include stuffing and mash tators and gravy, see the menu I will post. This place also has a malt shop with plenty of cold sweet tooth options and if you like they have take home treat options for the cold stuff. There face book page claims worlds best gyros so that's what I ordered. Our order came pretty quick and the staff was friendly enough. The gyro smelled and looked good with a soft fresh pita filled with gyro, onion and tomato. The gyro was a little salty and on the dry side compared to the Johnny Vs gyro and eggs which is moist and has a deeper lamb flavor which I had for breakfast the day before. After that being said why do I do Johnny Vs gyros more than anyone else with breakfast and not as sandwich ?. This is not the worlds best gyro because Oakland gyro is awesome and they were not dethroned today. It is your solid average gyro if you have tried most of the Milwaukee area offerings. Overall my gyro was just average but I did like the variety and the prices of the menu so I would come back again. On a cold day the meat loaf dinner with mash and gravy with bread and a side salad for $8.75 would make a great work lunch so we have to go back. read more

Portion sizes were good, the gyros are enormous, but we were missing an entire burger combo meal and didn't discover it until we got home, which was very disappointing. It does not seem like quality control is working at the drive-thru window. Staff seemed nice, but this is no way to run a business. B52 isn't what I expected - it's kind of an odd Greek family restaurant/fast food hybrid. So you can get a burger or a ham dinner with gravy? IDK - but the senior set certainly appreciates it as all the other customers were well over 60, and gathered around the TV broadcasting Fox News. B52 has big signs all over proclaiming they have "the best" gyro. I mean, maybe in Menomonee Falls? Don't get me wrong - their gyro dinner was amply portioned and was nicely served (on a real plate) with a big pile of salad and some slightly-soapy tasting rice. Their gyro is a bit mushy, and a little too greasy and they're stingy with the sauce. Where's my squeeze bottle, man? I've eaten far better gyros and certainly worse ones too. The Mister opted for a "chicken gyro" which is really just a grilled chicken breast sprinkled with some vaguely Greek seasoning. He said it wasn't memorable, so probably don't order that. Overall, things seemed a little sticky and a little scold-y. There's a sign on the soda machine that tells people to only refill once - is soda malfeasance that much of a problem here? I don't know - B52 wasn't BAD...but I probably wouldn't be rushing back. read more

Will never visit this establishment again. The food was awful for the price we paid. We stopped in on Monday 12/10 prior to getting our Christmas tree. My husband had a gyro and the meat was cut into super small pieces and very dry. One of my daughters had chicken tenders that were tasteless and my burger was nothing to write home about. What has me writing this review though was my other daughters burger. When we noticed she wasn't eating much we asked her what was wrong and she said it didn't taste very good. My husband tried it and immediately spit it out. I tried it and did the same thing. We are not sure that this was any kind of form of beef! In fact a type of rodent actually came to mind. I don't know how she ate as much as she did but she was in the bathroom the rest of the evening. We didn't bother saying anything because the man we assumed was the manager appeared to be asleep at the back counter. It was easier to throw what was most of everyone's dinner away and leave. This establishment had been located in Menomonee Falls for several years and if this is how the food is I am not sure how it hasn't been closed down by now.
