    Pomodoro Bianco Pizza
    Dipali G.

This place was probably the best place I went to in Hudson. The pizza is good, the ambience is great, and it's very affordable Food: we ordered the promodoro bianca, ricardos pizza famosa, and the margarita pizza! They were all good! My favorite was the ricardos pizza because I enjoyed the cheese and the tangy sauce! My friends really liked the pomodoro pizza - it had a lot of veggies and used pesto instead of tomato sauce - which gave it a very different flavor. I don't recommend the margarita pizza. Price: the pizzas were very reasonable - about $22 per large pizza and $16 for a small. I split 2 larges and 1 small and it came out to about $15 per person Ambience: nice location with good seating Service: it's very slow but I think that's also becuase it's busy. But it took me over 30 minutes to get my order

I spent a WFH week at my best friend's new place up in Hudson. After a long day of work, we called in an order for the small Dirty Brutto and the Pomodoro Bianco pizzas. Order was ready in 20s minutes for pickup and we swooped on by after picking up a bottle of wine a few storefronts down. They're only doing takeouts and the server met me at the storefront to take my name and grab our order. She was incredibly sweet and accommodating. We selected these pizzas as they were both really interesting. All of their flavor combinations are - and the fact that you can create your own with a bevy of toppings is also astounding. The pesto on the Dirty Brutto has such a strong aroma that we couldn't at first place what it was when we had the pizzas in the car. After cracking open our bottle of wine, and helping ourselves to a slice of each, we went to town finishing off the two pies. The Dirty Brutto is a hefty pizza, really fills you up and of the two, was just slightly more my favorite. I think the chèvre on the pomodoro bianco was a little off for me. Either way, now I know when I visit my friend we've got a great pizza spot to pick up dinner from!

This is a great place if you like pizza and/or have celiac disease. The staff was knowledgeable and so kind about find out ingredients and I felt quite safe eating here. Split two gluten free pizzas and a sweet potato appetizer. All three were delicious. A great spot in Hudson!

Our table was in the same room as the bar but next to the fireplace. The bar doesn't have actual seating - they have tables in front of it which is nice and keeps the intimate, moody quiet vibe. It definitely had a romantic vibe with the fire, the lighting and lots of flowers throughout hanging from the ceiling. My only complaint is that there was a table with kids who were pretty noisy in the beginning. Not exactly what I was expecting for my Valentine's Day dinner but that's what I get for an early dinner! The food was excellent overall. We had a sense of what we wanted but then the server came over and told us the specials which threw us for a loop! I was dead set on getting pasta because Feast & Floret is known for their homemade pasta but we ended up ordering a few different plates: Quail Special - This was my first time ever having quail. The plate came out with 2 whole birds and to say I wasn't nervous would be a lie. It was a little salty (not sure if maybe it should be) but tender and delicious. It came with creamed Kale and nuts. Chilled Beets with Mint - Weird having with a hot meal but still so good. Butternut Squash Arancini -- A must try. You can taste a hint of butternut squash. It wasn't too overpowering. Affogato - The simplest dessert on the menu but worth it. Regarding drinks, try their Honey Old Fashioned. I'm not a whiskey drinker but always try my girlfriend's drink when we go out. Their Honey Old Fashioned was so good that it made me want to order one for myself! Feast & Floret also sells their own honey. Before we left to get to the show, I had asked about making our own bouquet. Grace, the florist, allowed us to pick what we liked and she arranged our bouquet

We started with their signature focaccia, fresh out of the oven. Then, a seasonal Asparagus Tarte that was very much a deconstructed version: a delicious butter crust at the bottom of the plate, frisée lettuce, perfectly prepared asparagus topped with a pecorino creme vinaigrette. The perfect spring dish. Next was a Tuna crudo with ramp oil, watermelon radishes, fresh microgreens and toasted hazelnuts. Finally, their take on a Frisée aux Lardons, served with pickled figs. The lardons themselves were nicely crisped, and very satisfying. We had Negronis for cocktails, and a generous carafe of rose, served off the tap. All around one of the best meals I've had. Can't wait for the next menu that Chef Jeffrey Gimmel puts together. Apparently this is a monthly series, so keep a look out and don't miss the June dinner, guessing end of June on a Saturday night?

I tried three items: the blueberry corn cookie, maple cruller, and the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. All were fantastic. The corn cookie was a novelty. It was crumbly and slightly gritty, as corn pastries tend to be. It wasn't too sweet. Although I'm glad I tried it, the cookie pales in comparison to the cruller, which was deliciously sweet, with crisp edges and a soft, custardy interior. The sandwich was great, as well. The eggs were fluffy, the bun soft, the bacon thick and crisp. It was good! If you're visiting Hudson, make this your first stop!

You can get the whole chicken, half or quarter. For me, quarter was more than enough. If you get a quarter chicken, you get two sides. If you get half a chicken, then you get three sides. I feel like it should be the opposite to offset the amount of food. But honestly it was perfect, still a big portion. For sides, they offer crispy fingerling potatoes, cole slaw, market salad and butter rice. Their Cole slaw is amazing with that poppyseed dressing. And salad had a variety of greens and crunchy toppings with a light dressing. Also! The plate comes with two sauces - spicy chili oil (mild) and yogurt dip. It was all SO FREAKING GOOD. I'm a dipper so bring on the sauce! The drink offering is also abundant. Lots of craft sodas, botanical drinks, coffees and a full bar in the back. Ghia hit the spot for me. It's not cheap but for this quality of food it's more than worth it. For the vibe..it's a confused vibe. You order at the counter and sit down with a number to wait for your food. The decor is eclectic which I thought was fun. But the music.. it went from country to weird edm dance music. I think Kittys can gain a lot from a curated playlist. Sitting there I felt curious and excited to be immersed more but it wasn't giving.

Everyone in town says they will be out of business soon. Everyone in town says he takes no responsibility for anything and now I see it's true. Has called me a liar and said that I did not have the meal experience I'm not only have the receipts from the restaurant which I would be glad to put a picture of on here. I have a picture of myself dining there. I was told by the staff that the reason the beef was so tough and inedible was because it was grass fed beef. Their tropical flavored crème brûlée is also a disaster. This guy Robb is absolutely one of the most arrogant people I have ever dealt with. I'm glad he thinks it's cool to post a little blurb calling me a liar, but the fact of the matter is that I was told by his waiter that the inedible sirloin I was served was tough and loaded with that because it was natural grass fed beef. Now he comes on and respond to me and lies about his own menu. I have better things to do than waste time arguing with some GenZ twit. My advice to anyone coming to Hudson is to avoid this place like the plague. Go to William Farmer and Sons, which is always excellent or go to feast and floret, which is always excellent. But I would not go back to a restaurant that serves absolutely terrible beef and has an owner who is so arrogant. He comes on and knowing the lies about it. I was with other people we all witnessed it. I have the receipts to prove it, and I have photographs that we took at the table. End of story nice try Robb. I hope the next time someone else comes into your restaurant. You serve them better food and maybe you learn how to treat people a little bit nicer too. Anyone I have mentioned this restaurant to in town has had unpleasant things to say about you and your restaurant most frequently what I hear is "he won't be in business along with his attitude."" You're free to come online and call me a liar anytime you want. I've had a home in Hudson for 26 years and many people know me very well. So feel free to come online and call me a liar, but I got news for you. I'm the one with the higher standing -- and another restaurant, they treat me like gold. Good luck to you with your lousy beef

These days, it feels like every bar has a cocktail menu full of creatively named drinks that require reading a list of ingredients just to figure out what you're ordering. At Governor's Tavern, if you want a gin and tonic, you simply ask for a gin and tonic. The only decision you need to make is which gin you'd like. I'm not much of a cocktail person, but I appreciate that not every place feels the need to reinvent the wheel. The place was packed at lunchtime, but we got lucky and grabbed a pair of seats across from the bar. The server who I quoted was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Guinness, but unfortunately the keg had just kicked. She recommended the Samuel Smith chocolate stout instead and even brought me a sample before I committed to taste since I never heard of it, which was a nice touch. For food, we ordered the State Grill burger and the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. Both were excellent, and each came with Belgian-style hand-cut fries. If you're spending the day browsing the boutiques and antique shops along Warren Street and want a drink, a good meal, and a lively mix of locals and tourists, Governor's Tavern is worth a stop.
