Delicious, cozy, and full of Ukrainian vibes Homemade food with soul, every detail matters here Wide variety of gluten-free options + varenyky & pirozhky for every taste A place you'll definitely want to come back to again

Delicious pierogies from a delightful UKRANIAN café. Perfect for date night or to-go orders. Numerous flavors, plus various coffee, teas and other unique beverages. A very cute dining room. A bit of a wait for to go orders, as they're heated up. Located in an up- and coming unique formerly industrial plaza. IF you can find Dr.Andres Way (near the Delray DMV), you'll enjoy this cozy spot.

I was so excited to take my parents to this place. As lovers of pierogis and being of Ukrainian descent, this was a very special meal for us. The borscht was deep, hearty, and earthy (in a great way), and lovely with a dollop of sour cream. The pan fried pierogis - both savory and sweet - were everything that we could ask for. The dough was firm yet chewy, the savory fillings were well seasoned, and the sweet pierogis (especially the blueberry) rounded out the meal perfectly. The interior of the restaurant was gorgeous, very calming and reminiscent of nature. And the person at the counter was very helpful in choosing between all of the delicious options. Ukrainian food is absolutely wonderful, and this is a great representation of the cuisine!

Very cute place. Totally hidden away. If you don't know that you're going there and you don't have the address you will never just happen to come across it. Their food is good, but nothing amazing. I started with borscht. I ordered it cold, the way I prefer. It was fine, but nothing amazing. I've certainly had much better. It was filled with lots of shredded beets and a nice amount of potatoes. But pretty bland overall. Then I had their lunch special...4 potato and onion Pierogies, a kielbasa, and 2 pickle halves. The pierogis were tasty but unfortunately deep fried. I would definitely have preferred them sautéed. They came with some sautéed onions which were very good but they were really skimpy with them. The kielbasa wasn't bad but very over cooked. I'd say they have potential but they've open for quite a while now so I kind of think it is what it is. Not really sure I'll be back.

Expensive and VERY LOW QUALITY - Buyer Beware: I placed a delivery order on 8/19/2026 per seeing their products on their website. The price was expensive, so I assumed the items I was ordering were entree size. 2 Pierogi bowls (5 pierogi and 1 kielbasa each bowl - $17.98. Stuffed Cabbage (4) - $14.99. What I received looked like mini pierogi and they tasted like cheap ones from the frozen food section. Tasted microwaved. The Kielbasa looked like a hot dog. The stuffed cabbage were 2 bites worth, if even. I had 4 people for dinner thinking that $50 dollars worth of food would be enough. As you can see by the attached photos - shows what the items looked like on the Baba Pierogies' website and what we actually received. I put a teaspoon next to the food to show actual size. I immediately called Baba's however, kept getting voice mail. Left 2 VM messages and no response. Sent an e-mail the morning of 8/20/2026 with a quick response from them telling me I had to talk with Door Dash if I wanted a refund. Extremely poor customer service. I will never order from this restaurant and will make sure to let people know just what you'll get if you do order from there.

Absolutely delicious! A hidden gem I wish I tried sooner. This quality, quaint, friendly-faced, homestyle Ukrainian spot is the best in every way. Great atmosphere, amazing pierogi, mushroom soup & chocolate chip pistachio cookies. The food is made fresh and the cashiers are super courteous. I will be back for more!

Love is the only word I can use to describe this restaurant. I miss my grandmother very badly. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her and this restaurant really brought my grandmother back to life for me. From the warm, inviting atmosphere to the lovely servers and people working here this restaurant is a touch of charm that needs to be cherished. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's not a very big restaurant, but even though it's small on the inside, it's large in heart and food. I started with a beautiful bowl of mushroom soup. It was warm and creamy and so satisfying. I probably could've ate another bowl but if I did I wouldn't have been able to eat my dinner. For dinner, I chose the potato and cheddar pierogies and an order of potato pancakes. Both were amazing. My pierogies were fluffy and just slightly al dente with a lovely creamy filling of potato and cheese, sautéed in lots of butter and onions. My potato pancakes were hot, really, really hot and crispy. A little salt and pepper on top and it brought me back to grandma's kitchen. This place is rightly named for Baba's kitchen is exactly what this is. They also offer breakfast and a plethora of desserts. None of which I was able to try because I was too full, but I will be back and I will be eating more. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. I think everybody needs to spend some time with Baba and this restaurant does just that.

This is a wonderful quiet little restaurant tucked away off congress ave. The food is wonderful and the ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff is authentic and I can't recommend it highly enough.

WOW - this was one of my favorite finds on our recent visit to Delray Beach! Baba Pierogies is tucked away in a bit of a back alley, but don't let the location fool you, the inside is incredibly cute and highly photogenic. The family running the shop were very friendly, and I loved seeing them cooking together in the kitchen. The potato pancakes and pierogies were both INCREDIBLE and presented beautifully. I can't tell you how much I have missed eating pierogies since going gluten-free, and after struggling to try and recreate my own family's recipe, these really satisfied my craving and made my happy. I absolutely recommend that you give Baba Pierogies a visit whether you're a local or visiting from out of town.

This was such a cute find. It's truly a hidden gem. The food was delicious, fresh, and there are options for everyone. The service was efficient and friendly. There's a window into the kitchen and you can quite literally see the chefs making pierogies by hand. I have dreamt of the creamy mushroom potato pancakes since eating them. If I find myself in the area, I will definitely be eating here!

If you enjoy pierogies, this is your place. They have so many delicious combinations (even vegan). We ordered a few to try fresh and some frozen to try later. They are made with love. I'll be back for sure.

OMG everything we tried was absolutely delicious! The shop is so cute, lovely cafe area where you can eat what you buy. The best part is that they serve vegan options and understand vegan! By that I mean many places say they have vegan options and they give you dry toast and a head of lettuce. Not here, the vegan pierogies are the best pierogies I've ever had! Lovely young ladies working the counter, tastefully decorated shop! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They are always pretty busy, so make a reservation before you come in; however there is bar seating. It's worth the wait. We were able to order our coffees while we were waiting. I ordered the Cinnamon Mocha Latte iced, and it was delicious and not too sweet. My husband ordered the Chaga-Cinno. It is made from Chaga mushrooms and very healthy. He enjoyed it and said there was no bitterness to it. We were seated at a booth after a relatively short wait. They were even seat cushions for back Support, which is always nice. Our server was Aly. She was very sweet and patient while we were deciding on our food choices. I ordered the Lotus Flower Bomb breakfast with a side of bacon, and my husband ordered the Keto breakfast. The presentation of the food on the cutting boards is nice. I enjoyed my meal. The savory flavor of the eggs and bacon paired well with the sweetness of the Banana Nutella toast. The portions are a good size and very filling. We will definitely be back again.

However, each parking space is assigned to a business. There are way too little spaces for the size of Modern Rose. I parked in one of the pizza spots and watched my car hoping it wouldn't be towed. As a couple gals were leaving, I followed them out and was able to move my car into a Modern Rose assigned space. Now I could relax with coffee and lunch. Inside, there is a room with a counter/bar, a midsection with booths -- where we sat, tables against the window, and a cozy back room. We had very good service throughout. The gal made suggestions and was patient with our ordering. And everything was delivered correctly. And we weren't rushed. We were able to sit and chat and catch up. I got a decaf cappuccino hot. It was very good. My friend got a cinnamon specialty tea with whipped cream -- I didn't catch the actual name. It looked amazing. She liked it, but felt there should be a touch more cinnamon flavor. We shared their classic Rose (toast) flight. It was delicious. They were nice enough to cut each piece in half and provide us with extra plates. My favorite was the "Just Keep swimming" -- avocado toast with salmon followed by the Venetian with prosciutto and mozzarella. The spicy one had a touch too many chili flakes for me. The everything seasoning is a welcome addition to each avocado toast version. The decor is lovely as are the plates and chinaware. It was surprising to learn that this is now the only location here in South Florida as we'd previously enjoyed their Deerfield beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Hollywood locations in the past. We both were pretty full, but had eyed their gorgeous cakes displayed on the counter. The coconut cake looked especially appealing. Maybe next time!

The vegetables sandwich that I ordered had so much oil but fortunately the bread soaked up some of it, so I just discarded the bread. My wife's salad with fish was very good. Also, the fruit served with my sandwich? Just perfectly ripe and enjoyable. One of the things that cracked me up here, being a laid back Texas boy, was over hearing all the incessant, noisy, nasal New York Jewish ladies whining, commiserating and ruminating with each other at the other tables. That was entertaining. I had thought about asking about the homemade desserts but the staff was slammed I guess cause no one came around to check on how things were going and if we needed anything else. Just as well. If you're ordering it as it's intended ( for an appetizer... ) share with a large group. When I went, we were just a party of two so we pretty much filled up on it, but it was so good. No one was complaining! In terms of entrées, their eggs that come with this cheesy hash brown casserole is so good. Strawberry and cream basil French toast also really good... to me, it probably didn't need the basil, as that can be a bit bitter- although it sounded great but I didn't love it... But still a really good dish. However, what happened to me there was the waitress dropped a drink on the floor which splashed up all over me. She right away got me some napkins to clean myself off and while I wasn't thrilled, it happens, whatever. I didn't think too much of it. And ended up, taking off our appetizer from the Bill which I thought was very nice of her. I left there so stuffed and will definitely return because it was great food and a good experience - even though I left smelling a little bit like a bar. 100% worth it!
