Over priced and the burgers are ok but do not have too much flavor. We came to Creep IE Con and they were food vendors here. We paid $60 for 2 burgers with fries and 2 cokes. When our food was ready we asked for our cokes with the order and she said they only had water. Why wouldn't you mention that before charging us for the sodas? Second, the older lady with the tattoos on her arms/hands/forearms was rude. I asked her for a side of BBQ sauce and she said it's $1 extra. The most memorable aspect of the food was that it got us sick. Quality seemed at first like a step below a burger you might get at Red Robin or TGI Fridays: not disgusting, not great. Taste was not flavorful compared to Red Robin or Fridays. But I don't get that "this is why we got a 2 bathroom apartment" feeling when I go to Red Robin, they have an actual restaurant, and it's cheaper. I ended up getting the turkey burger, and it was good. Nice a meaty, with a fair bit of fat in there (why would you want a dry, tasteless burger), with cheese, their version of a special sauce and grilled onions on a King's Hawaiian roll. The combination of their playful name and bright pink truck made it hard to pass up when they came to my office complex. Obviously, burgers are what they're about. They have a decent variety to choose from including turkey, veggie and vegan options. I shared the Mamacita ($10) which is a 1/2 lb burger with pepper jack cheese, guacamole, tomato, grilled onions and jalapeños on a King's Hawaiian bun. The meat was a bit over cooked but the fresh guacamole and other toppings made up for that. I'm glad the girl who took our order recommended their 10-Spice Chili & Cheese Fries ($7). It was a hearty portion and the curly fries were perfectly crispy. Their chili is not so much chili, but well seasoned meat. It was tasty but needed sauce. I want to like Babys Badass Burgers, I really really do! The portion sizes are great, albeit overpriced, and while the flavor profile shows some great effort, the end result is.. Well, as others have put it, bland and flavorless :( There's an issue with a burger when you have to use extra condiments, like mustard, ketchup, and other sauces, just to get some decent flavor on a burger. Babys Badass Burgers came to my neck of Irvine where my work is, yesterday. I ordered a "The Bombshell" ($13) which I've attached a photo of to my review. Here's the thing, presentation-wise, this burger looks great! As described on their menu, it's a 1/2 pound maneater burger sanwiched between two grilled cheese melts with bacon and grilled onions. What's not to like? Well, for starters, it's not very well seasoned. In the business' defense, I'm sure they used salt, but due to the SIZE of the burger, I can't blame them for not using even more salt, which might kill a person. But that being said, what resulted is a bland tasting burger that I had to dip a LOT into the special sauce, and then the remainder of the burger I had to dip into mustard and ketchup packets. Where's the excitement in the burger? Even the "grilled cheese" around the burger tasted bland. I'm not the only one either, as you can see on Yelp other reviewers have stated the burgers are flavorless. And in the business' defense, maybe they used to have good burgers, but the reviews of late seem to suggest otherwise. I've given three stars here, to give benefit of the doubt, but when there are so many burger options available in Irvine and Orange County as a whole, there leaves a lot to be desired today. The truck is super cute, all pink and all decked out. I dont often eat the food trucks that come to work, but I couldnt pass this one up. I ordered the Cover Girl, which is a turkey burger with swiss, sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, and babys special sauce. I requested raw onions, but they did not have any... the sauteed onions were done previously and that was the only option. Thats really my only complain about my meal, I LOVE raw onions on my burger, so I ordered without any onions. I also ordered the Pig Tails (curly fries) with 10 spice chili and cheese. That was a meal in itself. I was so afraid I was going to drop them on the way back to the office. They were heavy, and I had my burger too, and, well... its totally happened to me before. Right outside the door inside... BAM, delicious fries flat on the concrete. Im happy to say they made it inside, upstairs and in my belly! Baby's Badass Burgers knows how to put a thick and juicy piece of meat between two buns! I stopped at a food truck night in Irvine and spotted this truck. I remembered the owners appearing on the television show "Shark Tank". After a quick look at the menu I approached the cute order-taker and ordered the "She's Smokin'" burger. It had melted smoked cheddar, bacon, bbq sauce and crispy onions on it. I have to admit it was a superb burger and delivered on the smokey taste. The hamburger meat itself was large and not overcooked. I liked that the bun was grilled and they didn't put an excessive amount of bbq sauce on it. The price was definitely high ($10) but the wait was quick, the service very friendly and the burger was great. One thing that wasn't their fault was the disadvantage all food trucks face; with no place to sit in this parking lot on a blazing hot afternoon it was rather miserable standing and eating in the blistering sun, which deters from the enjoyment of eating a delicious burger. Which leads me to opine that the Sharks on "Shark Tank" (who did not invest in them because the owners wanted to build a brick & mortar shop rather than have more trucks) were wrong! If Baby's had a sit-down restaurant somewhere I would probably go and visit them again. I had heard about them on Shark Tank and my coworkers all had good things to say about the food so I couldn't wait to try.
