Made a reservation for Saturday morning and had a really good experience overall. Street parking was surprisingly easy, and they also offer valet with validation which is nice. There's an Alfred Coffee on the first level too, which I loved. I got there a bit early and they let me hang out by the pool/bar area while I waited for my friends -- super chill vibe. I ordered the eggs benedict with potatoes and a side salad, and everything was really good. One of my friends got the hanger steak (didn't try it, but it looked great). I also ordered a grapefruit drink -- really refreshing. Service was attentive without being over the top, which I appreciated. Only downside for me: the pancakes. We got a half stack and they were like $12 for small ones... honestly not worth it. Also, there's an automatic 20% service charge, just something to be aware of. Bathrooms were clean, music was good, and the whole place had a fun "cute casual but still dressed up" vibe. Definitely a good spot if you're celebrating something.

Bloody Mary is beautiful my mom and I split the avocado toast. Three artistic pieces of toast beautifully made, two awesome poached eggs. The radishes were so nice and our server Lilly was the absolute best. So kind accommodating and lovely. She even brought out a birthday treat so nice. I highly recommend and if you are eating you get a discount on your valet. We will be back!

I think this was their French dip sandwich with sweet potatoes and it was so good! I truly wasn't expecting it to be so flavorful and well balanced-- the meat and cheese with the pickled onions The au jus was really good too! Not too salty. And you can't go wrong with some sweet potato fries and sauce to dip! Service and space were amazing as well!! There's AC so don't even worry about it being hot with the window design.

My new favorite brunch! It's on a rooftop of Line Hotel and has an amazing greenhouse ambience. The food was soooo good. I really enjoyed the eggs benedict with ham. The hollandaise sauce with the poached egg and ham was just perfection. I liked the crispy potatoes and the salad it came with as well. The potatoes were the perfect crispiness level and the salad was a refreshing yuzu like taste. The avocado toast was surprisingly really good! I thought it would be more simple but it pleasantly surprised me! I liked how they add cucumber and pickle veggies along with the microgreens on top.

Came here to catch up with a friend for brunch. Food: If you come, come only for the aesthetic ambiance. The food was not so great. It was cold when it was first brought out! The ingredients did not taste fresh. The potatoes were slightly hard to eat. I couldn't even finish it. The sausages were difficult to bite into. I'm not sure how breakfast food could be messed up this badly. The eggs were alright. My friend also did not really like her plate too. Service: We were seated pretty quickly as there was no line. It was relatively empty at the time. Our servers were kind and brought out our food in a timely manner. Parking: $10 valet. There's no free parking. Overall: I wouldn't come back. The food was below mediocre for me. It was definitely pretty though seeing all the plants around you while you eat. I liked how the tables had mini flower vases in the center. Very aesthetically pleasing but if you're looking for quality food, I'd double think before coming here!

This place is pretty good. We came here for the Dine LA week. I'm not sure how representative that is of their general menu. This is at a second floor of a cool looking hotel. They do have valet parking which the restaurant validates. I assume you could park nearby on the street but not totally sure. The set menu was interesting. I liked my appetizer of ahi tuna though it was nothing super exciting. The beef I had was good though it was on a weird mash that I later read was sweet potato - and it was just a bit too sweet. I did like the beef which was tender and the swiss chard was a good side. The dessert was really good. This restaurant looks like a greenhouse. It seemed like it was only maybe a third full. I imagine it would be an easy place to meet if you are staying at the hotel, but did seem a bit pricey for what you got. The service was fine but they told us we couldn't split the bill three ways, only two ways. I don't know if I'd recommend for group dining if that is their standard policy.

I've been wanting to give this place a try. We finally came since it offerer Dine LA menu. Openaire is located in THE LINE Hotel. There is valet but we found parking on the streets. The restaurant does validate. We had reservations for dinner on a Sunday night, and it wasn't crowded at all. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and unique. I can see how people are saying it can be pricey. With Dine LA, it was a good deal. The Tuna Tartare was really tasty; especially with the sweet potato chips. The Braised Beef Paleron was very flavorful and melts in your mouth. It was my first time having the Okinawa sweet potato. It paired well with the beef. The dessert was just right as well. I liked the Passionfruit Creme Brulee better since I'm not a chocolate person. I want to come back to try their brunch and to see this place in the day time.

OpenAire : OpenAire in K-town is a special terrarium of a space perfect for an upscale Mother's Day, a fun long tabled birthday or a very ruckus brunch. The space is Instagrammable in every sense of the genre. It gives Eco-plant-chic as sunlight beams and a glass housing to remind each other ever throw stones. It's happy and bright and the service matches it. The food portions and flavors are as well and we are lucky to have it in our beautiful town. Thank you OpenAire for your open heart. I promise to stay at the Line hotel as I think their lobby is fabulous as well because who doesn't enjoy a lobby happy hour within brutalist poured concrete.

I'd been wanting to try Openaire for a minute, and I was super excited to finally cross this off my bucket list. We had heard there was validation, but we realized it would still be $15, so that proved to be contradictaory which resulted in us having to find parking in the congested area known as K-town. Upon entry, I loved how aesthetic and exceptionally designed it was, though it did look bigger online lol. The customer service was decent, but it seemed as though our waitress misunderstood a few of our requests, and there was a bit of confusion. Although the menu had great options, and the food was good, the price specfially for the breakfast plate, was overpriced, and 1 pancake was $6 extra, and unfortunately, I was still hungry after lol. It was nice to cross it off the list, but it would definitely be a one-and-done place.

Had my little freakier Friday moment eating here as I just watched the movie and hadn't been back to the Line hotel since it was a different restaurant so I was happy to come back. Valet at the hotel is available and with validation from the restaurant is I think $14 if I remember correctly. The restaurant is beautiful within a greenhouse area. Everything we tried tasty pretty good, some more stand outs than others. My favorites were: + house milk bread - soft and light and the porcini butter was savory with lots of umami + roasted Japanese sweet potatoes - sweet and savory! + crispy duck confit - the kimchi rice below was delish! What I would personally skip: + Tempura squash - textures were there but overall flavor profile was subtle + snake river farms wagyu zabuton was overall fine, but all the components felt more separate than complimentary? + carrot Swiss roll - tougher texture, I think in the fridge too long

We specifically chose Openaire because they were advertising this Koreatown Gwishin (Ghost) Dinner for Halloween, complete with immersive storytelling, Korean ghost lore, a Daegu fortune teller, and spooky dinner theatrics. We thought it would be such a cool, Korean-themed Halloween night. But when we arrived and asked about the storytelling... not a single staff member had any idea what we were talking about. We asked multiple people and everyone looked confused. Where was the Daegu Fortune Teller? I wish they were present just to tell us this whole thing was a hoax. Lol. The good news: The ambiance is stunning. This restaurant is undeniably beautiful with dreamy greenhouse vibes with warm lighting and lush greenery. The atmosphere alone makes you want to stay for hours. The food and cocktails were delicious, and the special Halloween menu was executed perfectly, so zero complaints there. There was a magician/mentalist performing that night, and his trick actually blew my mind. I'm still thinking about how the X mark ended up on the inside of my left palm even though I was gripping my hands super tight. So props to him because that was memorable and very on-theme in its own way. The not-so-good: Our server felt lost, almost like it was her first day. And overall, it just didn't seem like anyone had been briefed on the event that was being heavily advertised. I just don't think they thought this concept through. If you're going to promote an immersive themed experience, the team should at least be aware of it. Bottom line: We still enjoyed our meal because the ambiance and food truly delivered. But next time, please don't advertise something and then pull the plug without telling your staff, it just makes everyone look confused, including the guests. Would I return? Yes -- for the vibes and food. Would I return for a themed event? A hard no!

TLDR - ambiance and apps here are better than the entrees IMO; i think it's more of a hang with friends and vibe in a nice atmosphere Food: my favorite apps were the crudo & the kale salad, although everything was pretty good! * For entrees, the steak (not pictured) and jerk chicken were pretty good but neither of the duck dishes were that great. The duck pasta was minced so you couldn't really taste the flavor /couldn't differentiate with another meat and the duck kimchi rice was just ok. The kimchi fried rice was more sour than I liked and had some pear slices on top to make it a bit sweeter, overall kind of soggy. Service: a little slow but the waiters are super friendly and helpful with any questions/recommendations Parking: KTOWN parking is pretty hard since this is located @ the Line Hotel so you either need to valet or street park and walk

We recently went on a date night to Openaire and had a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly and welcoming hosts, which immediately set the tone for the evening. The service was excellent the staff was attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. Our server recommended a special cocktail (unfortunately I don't remember the name), but it was incredibly fresh and delicious definitely a highlight. The food was outstanding. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The tuna tartare, in particular, is something I would come back for again without hesitation. Great atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. Definitely a 5-star experience

    Ask the Community - Openaire

    Is there a dress code?

    Nope, just casual.

    How much is valet PARKING?

Valet parking is $12. Validation is also required, or you will pay additional fees.

Are babies welcome for brunch? Is the vibe fitting?

Yes. I was there with a child. However, if you're in a booth and it's crowded, a place for the stroller will be hectic. It'll be better to be at a table.

How is the parking for Openaire?

Valet option is available. Street parking is timed and very limited.

Is there a full bar here?

There is indeed! A quite pretty one at that!

Are there open windows in the greenhouse to allow good air flow or is it all enclosed?

If you're worried about covid... it's not that airy.

What is the parking situation on a Sunday morning? Please let me know.

They have valet which was super easy to do, you may find some street parking around but might have some restrictions (I just went for valet last time)

    Do dogs allow at patio?

    I don't think so

I've reserved "standard" seats through Open Table, does that guarantee seats in green house?thanks!

When I reserved OpenTable standard seats I put in the notes "Greenhouse seating request." I also let the hostess know when I checked in on the day of my reservation. We were seated in the Greenhouse with no problems.

Do they offer bottomless mimosas for brunch?…

    Yes, they do.

Is there access to the pool from the restaurant?

Dining doesn't grant access to pool, but it is on same level and you can possibly be seated right across it.

What is the "standard" seat on the reservation website? There are two options: outdoor seating and standard seating. Is standard seating located in the greenhouse?

I reserved outdoor and was seated in the greenhouse.

How much is bottomless mimosas and from what time is it available?

Hey there. The bottomless mimosas are $ 25, endless drinks for 2 hrs. Between 10am-2:30 pm Enjoy

Are they still doing bottomless for brunch?

I called and they said yes but didn't give me a price

What time is sunday brunch til?

10-2:30. Always refer to website for answers. It's not posted then call.

Are dogs allowed on the outside area?

I saw a girl bring her dog in a dog stroller. I'm going to assume yes

What number can I call to make reservations?

I made reservation on opentable. There is a deposit if you have a party of 6 or more. Or go to thelinehotel.com to reserve

What's the max they can sit for a table? Can they do 8?

I've seen long tables where they can sit 8, but call to confirm because seating is limited inside the green house dining.

I emailed regarding a reservation inquiry a few days ago, would it be better to call a specific number instead? I've been unable to get a hold of anyone yet

Me too! I tried two different numbers and just keeps ringing! 😫

Do you need to have a reservation for brunch? Or can you walk in? Not able to get anyone on the phone.

Hi Shanyn, we recommend our guests to make a reservation via Opentable.com; otherwise we do take walk-ins too depending on availability and wait time

We also loved the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad -- both were super solid sides. Drinks were perfect and balanced out the dishes really well. Service and atmosphere were great too. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu next time we are in the area.

It was bland and portion was just smaller than I expected. There is a location in Pasadena and the pasta was seasoned well and balanced and what I feel the portion was much bigger. I do have to assume it's due to the location of this establishment. The ambiance was pretty slow however the inside decorations were so cute and pleasant on the eyes. I wouldn't come here for the food, perhaps a drink and a small app.

The service was friendly, attentive, and never rushed, which made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food was just as impressive, it was very flavorful, and clearly made with care. What stood out most was the combination of great food and truly kind service. It's the kind of place you leave already thinking about when you'll come back. Highly recommend!

The patio is beautiful and amazingly quiet for being so close to Cahuenga. The food is fresh, beautifully seasoned, and delicious. The menu is varied enough that it has options for vegetarians and vegans too.I've never been anything less than delighted with anything I've ordered. When you're there, do yourself a huge favor and order the carrots (listed as the roasted farm vegetable). It may be my favorite dish anywhere.

Still stands-up to the hype after all these years…read more If "Trendy" was a restaurant, Bestia would easily be in top contention, even after being around for more than a decade. That says a lot. Once upon a time (a few years ago), my CFP + banking institution wanted to thank me for being one of their top private clients. They expressed their gratitude with a very generous, all expense paid full-course meal at Bestia. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Fast forward to now, I knew that coming back here would be a good idea. Make no mistake, even if you try to book a reservation several weeks in-advance, don't be surprised if the only available seats are at the counter. Granted, I was in a spacey table during my past visit, the counter can be an enjoyable & unintentionally entertaining space. It's great for a more casual vibe, as you get to see some of the kitchen workers put together some of their signature dishes. In many ways, Bestia seems like a microcosm of the city that it rather humbly resides within. What always catches me off-guard, is that the surrounding simple area really doesn't reflect the happening, vibrant, night-life that resides within the building's walls. You feel like you're taken so a different, very social, very bustling world. WINE: Podere 72, Poderi San Lazzaro (Marche region, central Italy) - 8.7 / 10 A very robust blend of Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes that results in a balanced, medium bodied red wine that stands-up to heartiness of a beef ribeye steak. FOOD: Roasted Bone Marrow - 9.4/ 10 I have several friends that go here just for this particular dish. Funny enough, one can almost always tell that one is at Bestia because of the rather peculiar manner in which this dish is served. Hot, melted bone marrow is appropriately scooped out of the bone & poured onto spinach gnocchetti. It's like eating beef flavored mouth pillows of potato + spinach. It's definitely a dish that will impress whoever you are with. I can never resist ordering this whenever I am here. Oxtail alla Vaccinara - 8.9 / 10 The deep, rich maroon color of the rigatoni (thanks to beets) is a sight to behold. The pasta is firm but not too hard. It's a humble yet complex pasta dish that complements any main course. 26oz Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye - 9.4 / 10 Anybody who knows me knows that I love my ribeye. Any decent fancy restaurant does a ribeye. But no one does a ribeye quite like Bestia. The fermented mushroom cream delivers a punch of pungence not unlike a delectable dijon mustard, but to the highest of levels. This dish also makes me a believer in well-cooked onions served alongside steak. I usually like to take a home a portion of ribeye for later, but this is one of the very few instances when the steak is so good, that I can't help but finish it here. Again, the portion is more than enough to be shared. Fromage Blanc Mousse - 9.1 / 10 This seasonal dish hits all the right notes. It's the fanciest of cheesecakes, so I recommend sharing this. With its decadence, a little truly goes a long way & that's perfectly fine. The richness of the cheese is offset perfectly by the right balance of candied kumquats. A great "bite" to end on. Huge shout-out & thanks to Radu for being the nicest & most enthusiastic of servers. It's little things like him being so down to take pics of you with your party that really make me want to come back here. It the owners / management is reading this, please recognize how pivotal he is to your team. If he was working under me, I would most definitely give him a raise. Also, shout-out to Dani at the hostess stand. She is one of the most personable people. For being the first person that patrons see upon entering, she is the perfect face, attitude, & welcoming personality that the hospitality industry is in dire need of. She's a rockstar of a hostess & a pleasure to talk with. Bestia is a better place because of valuable employees like Radu & Dani. As always, come for the food. Come back for the service. I would definitely come back because of how amazing Radu & Dani are. Years after the hype, the vibe is still very much happening at Bestia.

We felt the booth seats shaking the entire time. We looked back at the people behind us, and they also looked at us wondering where the shaking was coming from. We had a full on conversation searching for the source. IT was like an earthquake with the seats rattling around and became really distracting. MY seatmate date and I later figured out the movement was from the party across from us. I guess all the booths are connected. It was really loud in the restaurant as expected. 3 starts for atmosphere and the vibe I got from our waiter. THe food was on point and delcious Bestia 10/10 quality for the pasta and pizza. The Peruvian scallops were forgettable. The duck was over salted. I didn't enjoy the experience sitting at the booths inside. We have never sat here before, and I will make a point to not sit there again in the future.

We ordered wine by the glass and it was very good. For the meal we had the asparagus, chili, cornbread, pork chop, and sweet potato. Each course was impressive, with masterful flavor profiles and perfectly prepared. The timing of the meal was at an excellent pace. We never waited long for anything. Desert was the chocolate cake, which was ok but we saw picture of a layered cake on Yelp (with frosting) but this one was a basic cake. Still tasty but not what we expected...but we certainly take responsibility for that misunderstanding. Overall, a great experience. I hope to return to try the ribeye one day. I also wanted to try the burger but they told us that it was discontinued after only a very short run. Thanks to the Dunsmoor staff for making it a great experience!

Short take: Service is good to impeccable. Food was good but pricy as well. The location is super…read moreloud and was sensory overload for me. More details: Service was good. I arrived early for my reservation, but the counter was still occupied due to a kitchen delay, so I had to wait at the wine bar, which was crowded and loud as well. But throughout this process, the staff at check-in was nice. They gave me 1 update, said I would wait 25 minutes, and then took me to my seat 10 minutes later. Communication was decent, and they made me feel welcome. The apology came in the form of 1 free sparkling wine drink, which was nice. Food: Good but not excellent and on the pricier side. Ordered the Albacore, which is a must, and that tasted really great. Got a Carolina Gold Rice with seafood, which was good, more like risotto, but much more watery; the seafood was fresh. Wish this came out with my main course. For the main course, I got the trout. The fish was fresh. It took a while for the order to come out. The fish skin was mostly crunchy and tasty, which is nice, and it came mostly deboned. The big down for me was that it tasted ok and the fish was drenched in oil, way too much oil. Overall, it was good, but not all of the dishes were a hit, and considering the cost, this place will give me pause before coming back. Ambiance: Not sure I would take someone on a date here unless I've been out with them a few times already. The acoustics in the space are just echoey and on the loud side. I had to wear my AirPods the whole time with either noise cancellation or transparency. They should really dampen the noise in that dining hall more. Also, there are long family-style tables in about 3 rows. I don't know how I would feel about that overall, but that is just me. I prefer to have my own table with my group. Lastly, parking is either street or valet. I think there's a valet, but you can park around the neighborhood, just be prepared to hunt a bit for parking on busy nights.
